Aulus Chania Resort, Curio Collection Hilton All-Inclusive

Lovely property and rooms but pool area was so loud due to an afternoon DJ. Our on was lovely but in a noisy section - downstairs near shop, table tennis area and bar. I think it’s important to know where your room is. Pool was lovely.

Πολύ ωραίο ξενοδοχείο με προσεγμένους χώρους, χτισμένο πάνω σε μια τεράστια έκταση πάνω στη θάλασσα. Υπέροχο lobby , εξαιρετική υποδοχή,γρήγορο check in και check out. Πολύ μεγάλα και άνετα δωμάτια με ωραία θέα στη θάλασσα αν γίνει αυτή η επιλογή δωματίου. Υπερπλήρες πρωινό, εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό και ωραίο μπαρ με πολύ καλά ποτά. Οι πισίνες μεγάλες και πεντακάθαρες. Παραλία δεν υπάρχει μόνο μία εξέδρα που όταν έχει κύμα η θάλασσα το κολύμπι είναι αδύνατο. Υποχρεωτική η ενοικίαση αυτοκινήτου διότι το ξενοδοχείο είναι αρκετά μακριά από το κέντρο και τις παραλίες. Ιδιαίτερα πολύπλοκο σύστημα με τον φωτισμό του δωματίου και έλλειψη πριζων οπότε πρέπει κανείς να έχει μαζί του οπωσδήποτε πολυπριζο. Οι καθαρίστριες δεν ανανεώνουν πάντα τα σαμπουάν γενικά απ'ότι κατάλαβα το καθάρισμα γίνεται αρκετά γρήγορα χωρίς μεγάλη προσοχή. Συνολικά έμεινα πολύ ευχαριστημένος και θα ξαναεμενα σίγουρα.

Our stay here was lovely! My wife and I look forward to returning. We had a room with a decent view of the ocean and a private balcony to enjoy that view. Breakfast was rich in quality and variety. Dinner buffet though was not impressive at all the one time we tried it but we actually preferred driving out for dinner in the Old Venetian harbor so wasn’t really a big deal to us. Hotel staff was warm and friendly. There was a particular middle age bald gentleman that was excellent. He poured me some wine when we first arrived and checked with us throughout our stay, asking how things were going. The housekeeping lady was also awesome and I have never met anybody so excited to be of service. She almost begged us everyday to allow her clean and will negotiate different times to stop by and clean to make sure it didn’t interfere with our stay. I even tried to give her a large tip for excellent service and she declined politely and said it was her pleasure to give us the best service. Wow! The swimming pool was the best I’ve seen in any hotel or resort. I was able to go out there and lap swim a couple times. It is huge, deep, clean, and very salty (be warned lol). It has a helicopter pad - was curious what for but didn’t remember to ask. Access to the simply gorgeous and raw mix of rocks, ocean, and waves, makes for excellent photo and video backgrounds. Free parking was also a treat. The gym was well equipped and I used it a lot. We will definitely be returning in the future!

I dont know if it was because we did stay at the resort for the days it was opened or because if it was not functioning. Overall it was a nice place to stay.

Lovely room and balcony. This hotel could be fantastic. There weren’t enough sun beds. They said there was beach bar and food. That was closed. The a la.carte restaurant was closed when we arrived the buffet was £35 a head. Wasn’t very good Could only have one key to room. They said they did t have enough ! No maps of area or in for given when checked in The music by the pool was too loud and terrible taste.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights stay in the Resort. Its a top comfort resort with all the facilities like big swimming pool, Gym, spa, excellent quality food and service. The resort is at top location with marvellous Sea view. We enjoyed each evening sunset view. The hotel manager Ilias is very friendly person who gave us some really good tips for sight seeing and shopping. Overall great stay! If you are staying for longer duration, Car is recommended for mobility. The Rental cars are easily available at the airport and very economical.

Food selection was nice and traditional, all greek salads, cold mezzes, vegetable etc so it feels very authentic Cons Check in was a little difficult, we booked two twin bed accessible room but the hotel made an error and gave us a double bed, we did not get checked in until about 8.30pm Cleaning service was not so good, glasses were left in the rooms, towels not replaced, rubbish on the balcony left. Disabled/accessible rooms are very spacious however, the shower was not functional, this was flooding every single time and made our stay very uncomfortable. There were children running around at lunch, in the spa, by the pool and we tried to avoid kids so we chose Late September but unfortunately there were still families and babies. The hotel is very far, they have a shuttle but if you miss this shuttle, you have no other way to go into the city unless you want to pay €30 both ways. The beach was closed off because its off season apparently so only pool was available

Ich morgens gegen 7 Uhr in der Anlage gestürzt und schlimm auf den Rücken gefallen. Der Hotelbesitzer vom Hotel gegenüber (der aus dem Schlaf aufgeschreckt ist, sich angezogen hat und rüber gerannt kam) war schneller bei mir, als der Nachtwächter von unserem Hotel, obwohl er in Sichtweite saß. Er kam dann gemütlich an und hat auch so gar nicht geholfen? Als dann klar war, dass es keinen Krankenwagen braucht haben wir gefragt ob denn nun eins der Gold cards und zumindest zurück zum Zimmer bringen kann weil ich nicht laufen konnte: nein das geht nicht. Aber ich kann Eis haben. Es wurde sich auch nie wieder erkundigt. Sauberkeit: Der Salzwasserpool ist schön, bei dem Pool mit normalem Wasser blättert die Farbe ab (nein wirklich, das Wasser ist trüb und man hat danach Farbpartikel auf dem Bikini). Die Liegen stehen auf Wiese, dementsprechend sind sie super dreckig, weil man natürlich dreckige Füße hat dann, die Sonnenschirme haben teilweise so viele Risse und Löcher, dass die Sonne trotzdem voll durchkommt Sonstiges: Wenn man zwischen 11-19 Uhr Hunger hat, gibt’s nur die Pool Bar mit Käse-Toast, Bagel, Pommes oder Salat. Fußläufig gibt es nichts also ohne Auto nicht zu empfehlen.

Breathe taking view in this out of the way resort. The rooms are very nice, we had a sea view making it spectacular. There is a main pool or a quiet section on the cliff side. The buffet for breakfast and or dinner was delicious. It is semi remote so a car rental or taxi service is needed.

Das Zimmer hatte einige Spuren der Vorgänger, was das Bild des Hotels leider auch kaputt macht. Keine Schalldichtung, man hörte die Stimmen im Nachbarszimmer sowie die Leute im Gang. Zu wenig Haken im Badezimmer und auf dem Balkon gibt es keinen Wäscheständer. Reserve WC-Papierrolle nicht vorhanden, wir durften uns dann selbst darum kümmern. Frische Strandtücher werden bei der Zimmerreinigung nicht gebracht, kann diese jedoch beim Pool bezogen werden. Frühstück war dafür sehr positiv, es gab für jeden was und eine sehr grosse Auswahl an Speisen. Bedauerlicherweise zu wenig Personal, deshalb musste man immer auf den Kaffee warten. Ein Auto ist auf jeden Fall von Vorteil. Der Gepäckträger hat sich noch ein unpassender Streich gespielt. Wir waren mit dem Gepäck schon vor dem Hotel als er uns aufforderte, das Gepäck auf den Golfwagen zu laden und einzusteigen. Er machte eine Runde auf dem Parkplatz und sagte uns das Hotel sei voll und er würde uns in ein anderes bringen. Fanden wir gar nicht lustig und nicht professionell. Vor allem sind wir dann am selben Ort vor dem Hotel gefahren worden, an dem wir bereits waren.

The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and kind. I’d definitely stay there again. Everything was very clean & the food was delicious.

Uns hat das Hotel sehr gut gefallen, sehr ästhetisch eingerichtet und vor allem sauber. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und lässt keine Wünsche übrig. Es ist ruhig gelegen, ein Mietwagen bietet sich an, wenn man öfter als 1 mal in die Stadt reinfahren möchte. Ich hätte mir nur mehr Abendprogramm gewünscht, es war aber noch nicht viel los, da wir außerhalb de Saison da waren und es grad erst neu eröffnet hat. Zusammengefasst wirklich ein wunderbares Hotel zum Entspannen.

The hotel is filthy, the staff does not care to help accommodate any of your needs. The price you pay to stay verses the cleanliness of the hotel is so sad.

Not the greatest rooms and not very clean , checked in to my room and it looked like they either brought me to the wrong room or just didn’t bother to clean the one they gave me. Toilet paper was out , towels were moist and water was on the floor outside the shower as if somebody had just showered

This was a nice hotel! The facilities were attractive and very amazing upon arrival especially with the amazing sunset on the large overlook. The room was nice and clean and there was a nice private balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The cafeteria was my least favorite part. The patrons were grumpy and almost feral for food while the staff was rushing just to keep up and often couldn’t. The night time routine of having people check in and then chase them down for the payment was strange especially because there was only one host and she could not handle it all. The kitchen staff were definitely not happy and made it awkward to interact with. My final concern with that are were the bees. In the morning the bees basically hover around in large numbers. There seemed to be about 3-4 bees per table. It was crazy! They weren’t aggressive, just always there always curious. lol. The place where the hotel is situated is beautiful too. Perhaps after the issues with the dining room I just could not recover enough to like it.

Resort nuovo e molto bello. Camera molto bella, con vista mare e tutto è curato nei minimo particolari.

Tuvimos que esperar 30 min para tener disponible nuestra habitación. En la habitación había un ruido incómodo, que no te dejaba descansar bien.

Fantastiskt hotell så klart. Bra poolområde, grymt fina rum, fin utsikt. Enda minuset var att det inte fanns någon strand samt att vi hade en dålig avloppsdoft i vårt rum. Ev lite överpriset men absolut ett väldigt fint hotell.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location close to Venetian town.

The staff and property were excellent. Room service was very slow we were out of toilet paper for a full day and the one time the serviced our room they took most of our towels. Beautiful property otherwise with beautiful pools and facilities. It’s about 30 minutes from actual Chania town but they provide a shuttle that leaves at 5pm and returns at 1030pm. When we got on it was full so they arranged a taxi.

Absolutely amazing the manager was amazing and made sure me and my son had the best day. Sorting out reservations for us in one of the best restaurants! Unforgettable!

Well maintained Hotel with a very ambitious staff, especially F&B. There is a new General Manager who seems to bring the hotel on an even better level.

What should have been a joyful wedding anniversary stay at Isla Brown Hilton Chania, Crete a 5 days stay, turned into one of the most cruel and humiliating experiences we’ve ever had at a hotel. 💔 On approaching the receptionist Alexandros to request a second key to our Deluxe Seaview Junior suite, he refused to greet us, avoided eye contact, and rudely denied us a second key to our suite. The next day, after personally calling for housekeeping, fresh sheets, and 2 pillows, we came back hours later to find our room untouched — a deliberate act that felt like bullying and discrimination. When we brought this to the General Manager, instead of resolving it, he dismissed us, defended the staff, and even insinuated we were lying. Yet, the very pillows we requested magically appeared in our room later. The contradiction was undeniable. No couple celebrating their anniversary — or any guest — should be treated with such disrespect, cruelty, and lack of hospitality at a Hilton resort. This experience has left us shocked, exhausted, and deeply disappointed.

Had a good stay here but it could have been better. The area itself is quite secluded however they compensate by running shuttle buses into Chania x2 a day. Breakfast was really good! Staff majority we interacted with were great but a few seemed to want to do the bare minimum.

Rude staff on late evening shift, on Thursday evening ala carte closed. Only buffe with bad food available for high prices. Despite Hilton honor gold member no benefits offered or available.

Οι πισίνες μεγάλες και πεντακάθαρες. Παραλία δεν υπάρχει μόνο μία εξέδρα που όταν έχει κύμα η θάλασσα το κολύμπι είναι αδύνατο. Υποχρεωτική η ενοικίαση αυτοκινήτου διότι το ξενοδοχείο είναι αρκετά μακριά από το κέντρο και τις παραλίες. Ιδιαίτερα πολύπλοκο σύστημα με τον φωτισμό του δωματίου και έλλειψη πριζων οπότε πρέπει κανείς να έχει μαζί του οπωσδήποτε πολυπριζο. Οι καθαρίστριες δεν ανανεώνουν πάντα τα σαμπουάν γενικά απ'ότι κατάλαβα το καθάρισμα γίνεται αρκετά γρήγορα χωρίς μεγάλη προσοχή. Συνολικά έμεινα πολύ ευχαριστημένος και θα ξαναεμενα σίγουρα.

Had a good stay here but it could have been better. The area itself is quite secluded however they compensate by running shuttle buses into Chania x2 a day. Breakfast was really good! Staff majority we interacted with were great but a few seemed to want to do the bare minimum.

Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel, man braucht allerdings ein Auto, um sich auch etwas anderes ansehen zu können. Es gibt Shuttle Busse, aber nicht so viele. Die Liegen wurden morgens leider immer schnell reserviert , um danach zu frühstücken, aber da kann das Hotel nichts dafür. Das Personal beim Frühstück war extrem fleißig und hat sehr viel gearbeitet!

Hôtel récent, agréable avec des chambres très spacieuses, même pour les voyageurs solo. La vue de la piscine et du bar est magnifique et l’on peut y admirer de très beaux couchers de soleil. L’hôtel étant excentré, un véhicule est nécessaire si l’on souhaite profiter de l’île.

It’s nice but there’s nothing around, you need a car to move everywhere

Very nice hotel with comfy rooms and delicious breakfast. Pool area also nice. However, the hotel is located on the countryside with the pros and cons from such location. It is far away from party, busy traffic and noise. On the orker hand, it takes 40 minutes with bus to Chania. Unless you want to spend +25€ each way in taxi (which brings you there in 25 minutes each way). Limited dining options nearby, but we dined at Mitsos BBQ one evening, and would recommend that. All in all, a very nice hotel, but if you want to dine and take a stroll in Chania, you might consider a hotel closer to the city.

Breathe taking view in this out of the way resort. The rooms are very nice, we had a sea view making it spectacular. There is a main pool or a quiet section on the cliff side. The buffet for breakfast and or dinner was delicious. It is semi remote so a car rental or taxi service is needed.

Great hotel! Staff were lovely, house keeping was a bit lousy however and the food is very average (dinner buffet service). Apart from that it’s a beautiful hotel with lots to see around the property and the views are spectacular.

Our stay here was lovely! My wife and I look forward to returning. We had a room with a decent view of the ocean and a private balcony to enjoy that view. Breakfast was rich in quality and variety. Dinner buffet though was not impressive at all the one time we tried it but we actually preferred driving out for dinner in the Old Venetian harbor so wasn’t really a big deal to us. Hotel staff was warm and friendly. There was a particular middle age bald gentleman that was excellent. He poured me some wine when we first arrived and checked with us throughout our stay, asking how things were going. The housekeeping lady was also awesome and I have never met anybody so excited to be of service. She almost begged us everyday to allow her clean and will negotiate different times to stop by and clean to make sure it didn’t interfere with our stay. I even tried to give her a large tip for excellent service and she declined politely and said it was her pleasure to give us the best service. Wow! The swimming pool was the best I’ve seen in any hotel or resort. I was able to go out there and lap swim a couple times. It is huge, deep, clean, and very salty (be warned lol). It has a helicopter pad - was curious what for but didn’t remember to ask. Access to the simply gorgeous and raw mix of rocks, ocean, and waves, makes for excellent photo and video backgrounds. Free parking was also a treat. The gym was well equipped and I used it a lot. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Lovely room and balcony. This hotel could be fantastic. There weren’t enough sun beds. They said there was beach bar and food. That was closed. The a la.carte restaurant was closed when we arrived the buffet was £35 a head. Wasn’t very good Could only have one key to room. They said they did t have enough ! No maps of area or in for given when checked in The music by the pool was too loud and terrible taste.

This was a nice hotel! The facilities were attractive and very amazing upon arrival especially with the amazing sunset on the large overlook. The room was nice and clean and there was a nice private balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The cafeteria was my least favorite part. The patrons were grumpy and almost feral for food while the staff was rushing just to keep up and often couldn’t. The night time routine of having people check in and then chase them down for the payment was strange especially because there was only one host and she could not handle it all. The kitchen staff were definitely not happy and made it awkward to interact with. My final concern with that are were the bees. In the morning the bees basically hover around in large numbers. There seemed to be about 3-4 bees per table. It was crazy! They weren’t aggressive, just always there always curious. lol. The place where the hotel is situated is beautiful too. Perhaps after the issues with the dining room I just could not recover enough to like it.

1. The hotel is beautiful and offers a relaxing environment with a high standard or decor throughout. 2. There is a good level of cleanliness with spacious rooms and large balconies. 3. There are plenty of comfortable poolside seating with snacks and drinks available until 6pm. 4. The staff are friendly and approachable. Frustratingly there is a lack of communication and attention to detail which negatively impacted our stay and fell below my expectations of a hotel under the hilton umbrella. Most of my issues about this hotel relate to restaurants. Due to the rural location it was improtant to have a variety of options on-site but the information on the website and inside the hotel is misleading. 1. The à la carte restaurant ELEONAS is open for part of this season as only (actual months it is open is not advertised anywhere) 2. Despite the hotel room providing a room service menu/ opening times there is no room service available - you will not be informed of this until you attempt to order. 3. During my stay the buffet restaurant KRETE went between à la carte and buffet without notice ‘because they had by buffet booking. This varied the cost of dinner for 2 people from €30 à la carte to €68 for buffet. 4. Buffet options were mostly cold and lack variety. 5. There are no telephone numbers listed for internal calls such as reception so needed to use my personal phone to call the website number for any assistance. I stayed at this resort as a disabled guest, and loved this hotel, I wrote more detail below of my experience: Pros Service was incredible, everyone is always smiling and helping you with bags/drinks/food etc. Very luxurious and classy hotel, everyone was very well mannered (only kids were not) All amenities you need are available, different pools, pool bar, breakfast & lunch, lounging area, game room, spa and shop very convenient and lovely. Food selection was nice and traditional, all greek salads, cold mezzes, vegetable etc so it feels very authentic Cons Check in was a little difficult, we booked two twin bed accessible room but the hotel made an error and gave us a double bed, we did not get checked in until about 8.30pm Cleaning service was not so good, glasses were left in the rooms, towels not replaced, rubbish on the balcony left. Disabled/accessible rooms are very spacious however, the shower was not functional, this was flooding every single time and made our stay very uncomfortable. There were children running around at lunch, in the spa, by the pool and we tried to avoid kids so we chose Late September but unfortunately there were still families and babies. The hotel is very far, they have a shuttle but if you miss this shuttle, you have no other way to go into the city unless you want to pay €30 both ways. The beach was closed off because its off season apparently so only pool was available

Restauration médiocres pour un établissement de luxe. Si vous terminez votre repas après 22 heures vous n’aurez plus de dessert .le personnel aura tout enlevé. INADMISSIBLE !!!!!! The resort itself was beautiful, plenty of activities around the area as well. The dinner option wasn’t included (we were under the impression it was) and it was quite pricey. You can go to several restaurants for half the price of the dinner at Isla Brown.
