It was a great space for 8 women to stay and really enjoyed the setting next to the river. The host was very responsive with any questions regarding the home. She responsded in a very timely fashion. Lots of great kitchen dishes, pots, pans, etc.

The home offers nice spaces for families to gather, both inside and out. The main level is great. There are a few things though, that guests should know:The bedrooms are on the lower level, which is mostly underground and had a strong musty smell typical of damp basements. Opening windows helped but a king room lacks a window screen, letting in bugs when any lights were on, had a very large 3ft spiderweb over the bed and a decent level of dust on the blinds. All lower-level bedrooms and pull-out couch room share one bathroom (for 8 ppl). Pull-out couches have thin mattresses; top bunk isn't flush to the wall and doesn't have a rail there. The lower studio apartment garage space is nice, and did not have the mildew smell. All bathrooms lacked shampoo, conditioner, and soap despite the listing offering amenities. All bath soap dispensers were 90% diluted, and thereby ineffective.Outdoors was nice but needs a bit more detailed upkeep— vegetation covered half the pier, gutters were full of plants. If you plan to swim, know that the river water is brown.Despite these notes, we did have a nice stay. Closer attention to detail with cleanliness, amenities and upkeep would have earned it a better rating. Note: There were unfounded allegations from the cleaning service which we disputed. We had done multiple thorough walk-thrus before we left, and left the home in perfect condition. Guests should be aware and consider taking a detailed video or pics before you leave.

Great place for a family getaway. Beautiful quiet setting with a spacious well maintained exceptionally clean house on the Chippewa River. There are plenty of sleeping places and bathrooms. Great deck for morning coffee and fire pit for evening chats and marshmallow roast. Would definitely like to come back again.
