Hotel is in a great location for walking to the square. Parking is limited though there is public parking about a block away. The room is pretty small for a long stay but fine for a night or 2. We had some trouble with loud construction noise right outside our room into the night and the hotel personnel worked to handle it appropriately even though the noise was not on their property so kudos to them for that!

The motel is quaint but nice. Walking distance to all downtown restaurants and stores. Parking is very problematic. If you don’t get one of the few on site spaces, you’re parking a few blocks away. Lobby and coffee bar are nice. Staff Ed very helpful.

The property in general was very nice. Centrally located downtown next to all the shopping venues it was very convenient. Because of the tourism ,it was a very busy and parking was not always easy to come by.Loved the welcome room packages and the staff was wonderful!

Comfortable bed and large shower. Perfect for our overnight in Jackson. Longer stays may want to investigate alternatives. Parking availability is the only downside, but if you are able to walk a block with luggage, there is street parking and a public lot adjacent to the hotel (it has limited spaces)

My second time staying at The Anvil, and was a pleasure to stay here as always and great value for money. As a female solo traveller this place was convenient and walkable to the main town square (no long walks in the dark, not that you really need to worry in Jackson). It is more of a motel in terms of how rooms are laid out but I always felt safe. My Wi-fi wasn't working on arrival but a quick call to the front desk and they cleared it all up and got it working. They had free coffee in the lobby with a warm and cosy seated area and a WC - great if you're killing time before or after check out. They have some drinks and snacks in the rooms but at a price. As a lot of other reviews state, the parking is very limited and is first come first serve, I've personally never had a problem getting a space but they do recommend street parking too if need be. Another quick gripe is the noise level. The problem was more the neighbours stomping along the landing outside at 2am but you can hear next door if their TV or voices are above normal. On another note; Should you ever need it, Doordash also deliver here too. I suffered awful food poisoning (from a restaurant in town) and being alone and from UK, I felt a little vulnerable. But after ordering my body weight in meds and water, the friendly staff showed the dasher the way to my room and was back on my feet in 24hrs. What a gem :) Like always - I would recommend this hotel.

This is a good option to stay in downtown Jackson WY unless you need to park a vehicle. Sadly they don;t have enough parking and I had to park O/N on the street 2 blocks away. But the location is excellent. I'd give it 5 starts if they could provide enough parking.

We so enjoyed our stay!! We would definitely stay here again. The room was spotless and the convenience to everything was wonderful. We ate at the hotel’s restaurant one night and the food was absolutely delicious.

We really liked this hotel. Very modern, and hip! Right in town - within walking distance to anything in the village. There was decent parking but when we couldn’t find a spot we were able to park on the street. Free drip coffee was a nice perk, and the lobby was super cute. We also enjoyed the Adirondack chairs on the deck. It definitely met our expectations.

The location was good but the room was filthy the floors were dirty the shower curtain was covered in mold across the bottom and ran out of hot water before 2 very short showers could be completed. Sink filled up when brushing teeth or washing hands. Maids didn't restock supplies toilet paper or kleenex. Also not enough parking had to park down the street 2 of the 4 days we stayed. Definitely not worth the $400 per night

Staff was very helpful. Bed comfortable, any charm that this hotel may have was a bit surpassed by the room needing a proper cleaning. Corners & edges, loose plumbing. And - when opening the luggage stand, underwear belonging to a previous f guest fell out. Staff was very apologetic.

This place was so dirty there was dog hair everywhere in the bed and all over our clothes. The shower head spouted water in every direction. This place is not a hotel. It’s a motel at best. The rooms were so small. My bedroom at home is bigger than these rooms. The best thing was the Glorietta restaurant but it really had nothing to do with this place. We got in early and was not accommodated with an early check in instead stayed freezing in our car for 5 hours. Girl at check in said she’d call when a room was available and she never did and had a bad attitude the entire week that we were there. Dogs are constantly barking in other rooms you can hear every word anyone says in adjacent rooms. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this place. This place is a dump.

We loved the area! Very walkable and quiet. Unfortunately, we felt that our room itself wasn’t cleaned well (specifically the bathroom / shower). The room also had a very odd odor to it.

The staff was very warm and welcoming. The room lacked the proper lighting and felt very dark and coffin like. The thermostat on the wall that was supposed to control the air conditioning did not control anything. I had to remove the decorative screen surrounding the air air-conditioning system. Every time I wanted to modify the temperature or the fan speed both of these things seem like they’re very easy to fix. I would also add more outlets or USB ports for people to charge their devices. Currently there isn’t a single USB port in there and very minimal outlets to plug into.

Ground floor room with bed, table and chairs, and private shower was clean and comfortable. I could hear the family upstairs walking and talking but at least it wasn't all night. I would stay here again for the location, convenience, and comfort, but the standard price is too much for this solo traveler.

Parking was terrible. We only had room service one day on our 3 day trip. It was incredibly loud at night, being on a corner and hearing the trucks go by all night made sleeping next to impossible. There is no microwave in the room, no coffee in the room, and I had to ask for fresh towels at the front desk daily. Two positives… the wool blankets and the shower was nice.

There was never anyone at the front desk and it was hard getting ahold of anyone. It looks much nicer in pictures than in person. The lobby was nice but the restaurant was closed during our entire stay. The shower was super clean either and the shower head was falling off

This hotel came highly recommended, so we were really excited to stay. However, upon arrival we found a large stain on our bed. The next day, we ran out of toilet paper and could not get ahold of the staff for another roll so we ended up purchasing a pack of TP ourselves. There was no one in the lobby during business hours, so we texted for help as directed and also called and their voicemail was full. We also asked for a local restaurant recommendation and were told to check Open Table. There were nails popping up out of the floors for some reason so definitely bring slippers! Definite safety hazard. The hotel is cute, it was pretty affordable and in a great location. The hospitality was just a little lacking.

This hotel was the most expensive one of our vacation and was the worst. The room was small and dark. But what makes me really angry is that the hotel booked more than the agreed amount of money from my credit card and now does not even response to my request for a receipt. The lady at the reception was unfriendly and not willing to talk to us at all. Very disappointing and I would not stay there again.

I was charged over double the amount Expedia said the property was going to collect. The front desk staff weren’t around for at least 10 minutes to check us in and another person was waiting for someone to show their face 10 minutes before we arrived. We were woken up in the middle of the night because people were talking outside and we could hear them. I could hear the man sleeping in the room next to us. Not worth what we paid for.

The front desk staff weren’t around for at least 10 minutes to check us in and another person was waiting for someone to show their face 10 minutes before we arrived. I had a wonderful solo stay here at Anvil. The hotel felt safe and the staff (especially Mario and Lizzie) were so kind and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this place if you are a female traveling; it's walkable from town, the airport bus drops you off literally across the street, the rooms are clean, quiet, and safe, and there are areas to work in the lobby as a warm fire crackles, plus free coffee in the morning! Looking forward to coming back soon!

First room had a window unit AC which did not work, was moved to a different room in the main building which had good AC however the flooring was coming up and the room was smaller. Very little parking available. Stood at the front desk for quite a while to get coffee and no one ever came out to serve us.

Hotel is in a great location for walking to the square. Parking is limited though there is public parking about a block away. The room is pretty small for a long stay but fine for a night or 2. We had some trouble with loud construction noise right outside our room into the night and the hotel personnel worked to handle it appropriately even though the noise was not on their property so kudos to them for that!

Ground floor room with bed, table and chairs, and private shower was clean and comfortable. I could hear the family upstairs walking and talking but at least it wasn't all night. I would stay here again for the location, convenience, and comfort, but the standard price is too much for this solo traveler.

The location is unbeatable. We walked all around town as it was just outside the door. It was a quick drive to the National Park. The staff was great and always helpful.

The location was perfect and within walking distance to everything in Jackson. The staff were very friendly upon arrival. The rooms were clean and had everything needed for our stay. I would definitely recommend to anyone and stay within Anvil Hotel again.

The good: excellent beds, clean and stylish room though small. Wonderful towels and high-end bath products. Our chief complaint is lack of morning coffee. We understand that sometimes older hotels may not provide in-room coffee due to potential electrical issues. However at this price point, one would expect lobby coffee to at least be available 24/7 or at the very least by 6:00am for travelers who have early departure schedules. Lobby was still locked at 7:00 am when we left.

We really enjoyed staying here, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants! Room was small but had everything we needed. The only complaint I could come up with is the trash truck coming at 6 am everyday haha but that’s obviously not anything to do with the hotel. Staff was nice, coffee was great, ate at Glorietta across the parking lot and it was incredible. Would stay again.

In the center of town so close to restaurants and shopping. The rooms were in different buildings, and parking was insufficient. The ice machine was only next to the office, so not convenient, and there was no coffee maker in the room - had to request coffee in the office. The room was spacious and clean.

This is such a cute spot! We stayed here for a last minute MLK weekend getaway and had a great time. The lobby was very cozy and had free coffee and tea from a local roaster and the folks working check-in were super friendly. I was worried about parking because street parking is limited in the winter but we never had an issue finding a spot in the lot. Our room was small but whoever renovated the rooms did a great job with the small details (lots of hooks to hang jackets etc and a nice bench to put shoes). They had a variety of local(ish) snacks and goodies in the closet available for purchase - they were expensive so we didn’t purchase any but I loved the selection and the options would have been perfect if we had forgotten extra hiking snacks or something. The main plaza in Jackson is a quick and walk away so the location was perfect for that. We also got to eat at the Italian restaurant on site which was a plus. My only complaint was that the hot water in the shower was pretty limited and ran out. Otherwise, we’re thankful for the dog friendly option and loved our trip! Will definitely be back.

Hotel is ok. It is clean and unique in appearance. Great location. But rooms are small and shower area very small. No microwave. No included breakfast. And no hot tub which I think is a necessity in a hotel located in a ski area. My biggest complaint is the cost to amenities ratio. Quite expensive to be missing the amenities described above. only one person at desk and often had to wait 5-10 minutes to get service. We really liked this hotel. Very modern, and hip! Right in town - within walking distance to anything in the village. There was decent parking but when we couldn’t find a spot we were able to park on the street. Free drip coffee was a nice perk, and the lobby was super cute. We also enjoyed the Adirondack chairs on the deck. It definitely met our expectations.
