Parking is an issue but is available, free, 0.7 miles walk away

The location is amazing , however if you are travelling with a car , good luck! Finding parking is a hassel! The public parking is far and there is not even a place to drop off and pick up the luggages. You have to walk from far all the way to the hotel. Breakfast is redundant and not many choices . Not great ! Go out and have a nice coffee and a pastry instead. The gelatomania restaurant has delicious crepes and gelatos!!!! The very best!!!! The rooms are small and outdated . The walls are paper thin . You hear everything !!! Is very annoying !

Great location. Right on the ocean. Limited metered parking. Be prepared to pay every 3 hours until 8PM and start again every 3 hours at 8AM. Tiny tiny roads.

It's a nice and clean hotel with the restaurant on the main floor. It's located on the first street from the beach. We spent there only one night so the room size was sufficient. For the longer stay we would have chosen a bit larger room. Parking was the major problem since it is a very busy location.

Location was amazing. Unloading bags was extremely stressful due to the location (right on the beach road) and lack of hotel loading zone. Had to double park three blocks away and leave our car unattended while carrying bags down a very busy cobblestone sidewalk. Parking was near impossible. Public street and garage (fee) parking was full. Drove around for more than an hour. Ended up parking 3/4 of a mile away in a dirt field that is used for camper van extended stays. Refrigerator did not work. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, while polite, they insisted that it did work, and that "it is a very small fridge, so not that cold, not like America" - I must state that the temp inside the fridge, was about the same as the room temp. I've travelled throughout Europe, been to China, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Dubai, Mexico, the Caribbean. I can accept and adjust to cultures and different types of accommodations, and damn sure I know when a fridge is working or not. All that said, most of the staff was very helpful by Portuguese standards.

Very basic motel. Great location. Terrific breakfast. Right on the beach and in the middle of town. No parking although said there was. There is a garage a block away. It is expensive- 15 euros for 24 hours. We were there for one day so not a big deal.

Parking was1.1 kms from the hotel but a pleasant walk along the seawall. Room was small but worked fir ys. Everything worked the way we expected.

We did not enjoy this hotel. The extremely overwhelming cleaner scent as soon as you walk in the room was difficult to tolerate and stayed on my clothes even after. The bed was very uncomfortable and seemed like it was unstable. The room was small and dark. The shower was great though. The price was way too high for this quality.

The sea view was amazing the bed was comfortable the bed linen and towels were lovely and clean. Breakfast was sufficient the staff friendly and helpful. The room needed a deep clean there was mould on the ceiling and round the window we kept the curtain closed so we didn’t have to look at it, the shower head, doors, and all the fittings were all in need of a good clean full of limescale, when we showered the whole bathroom flooded as the drain looked blocked. The hairdryer kept turning off every 60 seconds or so. If they sorted this out it would be a great little place to stay.

Property is right across the street from the beach. The room was extremely clean but very small - it was like being on a cruise ship. Bed was a double and comfortable and the bathroom was very clean with a shower. Room is clean but compact. Has on site restaurant; did't eat there as most of the restaruants have the exact same menu and breakfast was included with a veriety of options. No parking but you can park on some the back streets for free, you just have to check to make sure it is not in a pay parking zone.

A fast stay by the sea, restaurant seemed to be a favorite, busier than many others. We didn’t try as only sometimes seafood eaters, the seafood scent was a lot for us. Please note, hotel doesn’t have ac which means door open to alley below, lots of talkers, motorcycles until about 11pm. Small room 112 was ok as small, but terrible sewer smell during the night, glad we had an early appointment to get to!!

Parking in Nazaré is challenging. We had a phenomenal view, but the mattresses were very thin and the shower overflowed (due to sand - not ours) into the room and our luggage got wet. Pleasant helpful staff.

L'accueil était sympa nous avons été accueillie par une réceptionniste local et polyglottes. La propreté de la chambre laissait grandement à désiré, le lit petit pour deux et version camping. Positif il y avait un petit frigo en revanche des poils à l'intérieur...En ce qui concerne la salle de bain : poils et cheveux au sol et moisissures dans tout les coins de la douche. La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas et la porte ne ce fermait pas à clé de l'intérieur. Nous avons signalés en fin de journée les problèmes et nous avons eu comme réponse que quelqu'un passerais demain voir, sachant que nous restons que 3nuits sur Nazaré. Le lendemain a notre retour à l'hôtel vers 15h la réceptionniste nous a dit que tout était réglé mais en ce qui concerne la porte ça ne pourrais être réglé que lundi jour de notre départ. A notre retour en chambre le ménage avait était fait mais le frigo était toujours dans le même état, et cerise sur le gâteau toujours pas de clim. Nous sommes redescendu voir la réceptionniste pour lui signalés que la clim ne fonctionnait toujours pas, et elle a tout de suite essayé de contacter le gars de la maintenance sans réponse. 10 minutes plus tard ils nous annonce que le mec de la maintenance etait partis acheter une pièce qui finalement n'es jamais arrivé.Nous avons soumis le fait de changer de chambre et avons basculer dans une chambre voisine mais seulement en début de soirée qui elle était bien plus propre, plus neuve et où la clim fonctionnais enfin!!

The hotel itself smells like fish from the seafood restaurant below, but the room somehow blocked some of the smell out. The rooms were small but good enough for a one night stay. The location is great beachfront and a close walk away from tourist attractions. Sleeping was tough due to the loud noise from outside, sounded like the restaurant was sorting through bottles at 3am. The staff did their best in the crammed lobby area that is tightly connected to the restaurant. Overall, it was a bed and a roof over our head for our one night stop in beautiful Nazaré! Depending on your length of stay, I may find other options if possible.

That house location is excellent. Is right on the beach and boardwalk area. Our room was on the side, but we still had a great view of the ocean and sunset. My only complaint is that the rooms are much smaller than they appear online and the hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. It is very dated and worn.

Excellent location, beautiful view from the balcony. But room is tiny and outdated. You hit the bed when you try to open the door. And the website said there was parking but we had to park a few blocks away in a public lot.

The air conditioning didn’t work so the room was warm and smelled musty.

Excellent ocean front property with nice views. Small room by any standards! We were on the third story and could hear the restaurant chairs moving, luckily they quieted down after dinner.

The room was small, but the economical and ingenious use of space allowed a full modern bathroom, spacious closet including a mini-refrigerator, and a desk with plenty of room. The room even had a balcony and, being south-facing, got daily sun.

Really enjoyed our time in nazaré. The only "complaint" is that our room was on the 1st floor, above the restaurant, and day and night all you hear are the chairs scraping along the floor. It's starts at 8am so sleeping in is not an option! They should really invest in making the chairs less noisy!!! Convenient hotel otherwise with direct access to the beach! Room was basic but clean. AC worked well. We had an ocean view room and balcony.

I rank the stay 5 star but some important details. I was traveling alone, and I booked a double room. As others have said, it was small but it was fine - and I had a large suitcase - no problem. If I was traveling with my wife, I think it would’ve been tight, including the bed, but it’s Europe. The #1 reason I picked it and rate it 5 star is I made sure I had one of the balcony rooms. I was on the first (aka second) floor just above the restaurant. A few pointers - the hotel hallways do smell of the restaurant, but not the rooms (or at least not mine). I had 103, and I spent a ton of time on the balcony. IF I didn’t have that though, there are plenty of options to stay ‘near the action’ that probably would’ve been superior - so 100% this 5 stars is for the balcony - right over the bustle, watching people play football on the beach is epic. I worked out there one day. I stayed 3 nights - the first couple the WiFi really sucked (I had to tether off my phone) and then suddenly day 3 it was good to go. Also, it is loud (poor sound insulation). Being right above the restaurant I could hear them moving all of the chairs around - but I travel with a white noise machine and it never woke me up, but when I turned the machine off in the morning, woah, you could hear it. I def stay again but balcony mandatory. If we my wife, maybe 2 nights max just bc of the space issue. Oh, and I didn’t have a car so look to others re that

Great hotel across the street from the beach. Everything is w/in walking distance. Beach was great Only drawback is the room is loud at nite. You can hear people yelling and laughing from the Main Street. Didn’t quiet down till 1 AM. Garbage truck came at 4:30 🙄

The beach access is amazing!! The hotel would do well to have the restaurant fix their chairs because staying above the restaurant all you hear all day and night are the chairs scraping across the floor. Besides that hotel is clean, convenient, AC worked well. The area around is nosy (my room was ocean view) so it's to be expected that you hear all the action. We also had a balcony (not many rooms so) and I found that really worthwhile to people watch at night!

Convenient location and good restaurant located below hotel. However you could hear your neighbours and wifi was not working.

We had a lovely stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a small issue with our room so they moved us and all was great. Would recommend.

Wonderful location. Restaurant is perfect. Hotel room is very small. Receptionist not friendly.

They double charged me even though I told them the hotel had been paid for. I had to go thru 3 different desk clerks to get reimbursed. Even then they did not want to. The room was dated and linens dry old. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and old. The hotel was part of a restaurant and the whole place smelled like food. Even in the rooms. Door’s kept being slammed during the night. It was a very unpleasant experience.

I reserved and paid in full 3 nights Ocean front with balcony. They double booked the room and made me move after 1night down the alley to a lower priced room. The manager thought reimbursing me 40E a night would make up for it. I said no but he gave me no other choice. He never answered me why I had to move rather than the other reservation that started the next day.

Exceptional Staff and Service.

The front desk staff was exceptional. I needed help with bookings on rede express and they let me use the computer at the hotel. They were excellent!

Great location. Can’t be closer to the beach than this. Affordable place, nice, clean, lots of options for dining and shopping. Very good breakfast included. Out of season is easy to find parking, paid during the day and free from 8pm to 8am. Some options for free parking away from the beach.

Absolutely the best Nazare location, right on the beach. Nice shared balconies directly on the beach + small balcony in the room. Use the free parking lot at the other end of town as suggested by the staff.

Partial ocean view and large balcony a huge plus. Breakfast was always amazing and water pressure was unbelievably great. Would definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

Check in was easy, very polite staff. Room was a lot smaller than the pictures but we were only there to sleep. Free breakfast was included and it was great. We ate at the restaurant one evening and it was very expensive and the food wasn’t that great. I had steamer clams, they were tiny, husband had some sort of sardine stew and it was mushy, he didn’t finish it and ended up buying a cheeseburger down the road. A lot of noise at night 2am, woke us up several times but the location to the beach and the stores are unbeatable. I would stay here again but wouldn’t eat here again

Pros: Location is great. Male front staff member was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Other staff seemed inconvenienced by our presence Cons: Heavy Sewer type smell coming from bathroom.. noticed by would only go away when turning on AC. Hard to find bottled water. We bought from the restaurant below. Restaurant is not good. Breakfast was subpar. Eggs burnt. Coffee is instant coffee. Juice is powder mixed juice machine. Would recommend walking around the corner to a coffee shop to pay minimal $ for excellent food instead of the free breakfast.

The room had a sea view, was really clean, beds were comfortable, we had fresh towels every day and had everything we needed. All the staff were very friendly and efficient, the breakfast buffet was excellent. I would highly recommend Hotel Oceano, it will be where we stay next time we go to Nazaré. Thank you

Très bien placé sur le front de mer. Personnel d'accueil très aimable. Chambre petite mais correcte. Salle de bains très bien. Petit déjeuner industriel. Le bémol sur le bruit du personnel d'entretien le matin et celui du lave linge qui essore dans le local de l'autre côté de la cloison ...

We had a wonderful room with a gorgeous view of the beach and cliffs! The air conditioning made the room very comfortable on a warm day! The bathroom was modern and the shower was hot and strong. The restaurant (excellent seafood) below the rooms was convenient especially for the delicious breakfast in the morning.
