Lovely old coaching inn, very welcoming staff, made it feel like a home from home. Lovely room, only downside were the steep steps to the rooms when the pub side was shut so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The food was excellent, very good value for money and nothing was too much trouble, Would highly recommend.

I had a lovely stay at the Hood Arms with my dog Anya. It was very convienient for Cannington College where I was attending a course with my dog. Lovely food and very comfortable stay.

What an incredible welcome we had! We were made to feel right at home and incredibly welcome. The facilities in the room were excellent, all you could ask for and more. We have two small dogs and the welcome and facilities for them was far beyond anything we'd ever experienced before, let alone all the lovely surrounding walks. We dined here both nights and the food was truly excellent. The quality of the food and the care and attention by the staff at dinner and breakfast was second to none. We can't recommend The Hood Arms highly enough.

Amazing place super comfortable - lady who ran it was lovely. Room lovely bath and shower great bed super comfy - homely feel to it as well. Good at night was restaurant quality and breakfast delicious. Parking right outside and honestly couldn’t have been any better in any way. Defo coming back!

Great welcome, lovely dog friendly old pub with large garden. Our rooms were large and comfortable with excellent beds, tea making facilities, good WIFI and everything we needed. Dinner was excellent with everything we ordered being very tasty. All the staff were lovely and friendly too. Brilliant draught cider selection of Thatchers Gold, Sheppy's and Exmoor brewery cider. Had an issue with one room unexpectedly not having been cleaned but they sorted perfectly with a free drink while they found another room and put dinner back for us. Note with the windows open it was a bit noisy at the front (can't be helped with an A road going right past!) so request a room at the back if needed. Highly recommended, we would definitely return!

We stayed here the night before a wedding, tge location was great. The room was updated yet retained the character of the pub. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delightful good quality food with a good choice. Would definitely recommend staying here.

WE stayed two nights at the Hood Arms and were given an upgrade on our original booking to a spacious room (Room1) with a good sized bed and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The room has a lovely view of the garden. The bathroom is large with a free-standing roll top bath in the centre and a large walk-in shower to one side with and excellent rain shower. One improvement would be a comfortable chair in the bedroom. The room provided a kettle and a good selection of tea and coffee and biscuits. Breakfast was very good with a selection of cereals, juice tea and coffee and hot food on offer and the host was very attentive. All in all, a very nice stay. Many thanks.

I had a lovely stay at the Hood Arms with my dog Anya. It was very convienient for Cannington College where I was attending a course with my dog. Lovely food and very comfortable stay.

What an incredible welcome we had! We were made to feel right at home and incredibly welcome. The facilities in the room were excellent, all you could ask for and more. We have two small dogs and the welcome and facilities for them was far beyond anything we'd ever experienced before, let alone all the lovely surrounding walks. We dined here both nights and the food was truly excellent. The quality of the food and the care and attention by the staff at dinner and breakfast was second to none. We can't recommend The Hood Arms highly enough.

A warm welcome on arrival. We arrived early but were allowed to put bags in our room even though prep not quite finished. Room was a good size, very clean with a very comfortable bed with crisp white linen. Tea, coffee and water supplied. Bathroom had large shower with shower gel and instant hot water. Breakfast was cooked to order with good selection, scrambled eggs lovely and ‘fluffy’. Did not have dinner but available. Location is ideal for exploring the Quantocks Cosy bar for nightcap.

Great welcome, lovely dog friendly old pub with large garden. Our rooms were large and comfortable with excellent beds, tea making facilities, good WIFI and everything we needed. Dinner was excellent with everything we ordered being very tasty. All the staff were lovely and friendly too. Brilliant draught cider selection of Thatchers Gold, Sheppy's and Exmoor brewery cider. Had an issue with one room unexpectedly not having been cleaned but they sorted perfectly with a free drink while they found another room and put dinner back for us. Note with the windows open it was a bit noisy at the front (can't be helped with an A road going right past!) so request a room at the back if needed. Highly recommended, we would definitely return!

We stayed here the night before a wedding, tge location was great. The room was updated yet retained the character of the pub. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delightful good quality food with a good choice. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Exceptional customer service. Beautiful big room. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. We also ate in the restaurant for our evening meal which was delicious too. Highly recommend.

Everyone was very kind and helpful and because it was not very busy, we were given a superb quiet room overlooking the garden. Would definitively recommend the Hood Inn.

Everything was excellent. Welcomed warmly, everything we needed available in our room. Bed was very comfortable, plenty of hot water. Breakfast was first class, a wide choice and all freshly cooked. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

The bedroom and bathroom were lovely & spacious with loads of storage. The food was excellent, service was a bit slow at dinner but well worth the wait, best proper chips we've ever had in a hotel. Limited parking but we used free car park opposite at the Village hall. Large garden at rear with plenty of seating and parasol, slabs were a bit uneven in places.

Nice room and very helpful staff. Confusion about breakfast booking plus the fact that the pub was closed on Sunday evening not very good.
