Villas de Cortez, Beachfront, ved poolen, First Floor, 1 BR Condo

Very clean, amazing location. We had a fantastic time and enjoyed the property. Furniture was a bit dated but all in all an excellent location.

For some strange reason we were not provided the door code prior to arrival. Instruction to contact the host when we arrived. When we arrived and reached out the host he did not respond. We tried to find someone on-site to help us but were told the host had severed ties with the local property manager and so no local representation. After waiting 3 hours, out of frustration, we started to try all windows and patio doors to see if we could get in somehow. We got lucky and found that patio door at the rear had been left unlocked and had a place to stay that night. Should have tried the back door sooner. The host returned our call the next day to apologize and say that "he has had a lot on his mind" in the previous month. Had we not found an open patio door I am not sure what we would have done that night. After a fair amount of haggling, he offered one night's free stay but the negotiation was arduous and it was clear there was not a lot of remorse. I ended up not following up on his offer as I just wanted to move on ... Overall, not a bad condo, a little tired, well located on the beach, photos do over-sell the unit.
