The George Hotel

C'était un vendredi et le pub servait alors il y avait un peu de bruit avec la fenêtre ouverte. Mais cela ne nous a pas vraiment gêné. On est allé boire un coup également. L'hôtel n'est pas moderne, mais très confortable. Les chambres sont vraiment très bien. Pour se garer, il y a un parking payant en journée très proche et très pratique pour charger et décharger les affaires. Le personnel est très dynamique, sympathique,le petit déjeuner très copieux. Nous avons apprécié notre nuit !

Easy check in, we'd been before and were familiar with arrangements. Staff remembered us and were friendly. Room clean, stairs steep and narrow, fortunately we didn't have a lot of luggage. Breakfast freshly made and excellent. Full bar services available. Car parking is an issue, chargeable car parks around, limited free parking if you know where to go and prepared to walk.

Nice stay, clean, cheap, breakfast was nice. I would stay again 😊

Cheap parking from 8am, free between 6pm-8pm. Remember to inform of any dietery requirements in your booking. I informed them at check in, and they did not have any bread etc (Waitrose was next door) don enjoyed his breakfast

The room was ok although the net curtains had holes in them. What really let this down was the fact that the shower did not work. It was very stiff to turn on, then there was no hot water and then would not turn off. The cleaner managed to turn it off but admitted there was no hot water but did not know why. We were the only people staying so why put us in that room? The breakfast was very good but there was also a problem checking out as check out was at 11:00 but the bar did not open until 12:00 and was locked up so we could not hand the key back! In the end we dropped it into a box meant for people that were leaving before 08:00! We would not stay again and we feel that a partial refund should be due as we could not have a shower. We would have complained at the time only it was all locked up and no one was there
