Staff were very nice but our room had a strong odor that never went away. There were stains on our bedding and all over the walls. The bathroom faucet was leaking water all over the counter. This was the only bad hotel we stayed at in Japan.

The room air filter was nasty dusty, the light fixtures in the ceiling are full of dust, even the lamps on the bathroom mirror had a thick wall of dust, headboard broken underneath, the walls are dirty. We got sick coughing and stuffy nose, allergies from sleeping in there. It has a bathroom window connected in the room which was weird. The room is small. The hotel is dated. When we came in to the hotel, they were cleaning the lobby with something that smelled horrible sewer like smell. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE - DO NOT RECOMMEND

Location is excellent, but room is very dated. Some electrical plugs not working. Caulking in bathroom area has many black area. Shade between window of bathroom and sleeping area can not block out light. Smoke/mold smell. Condensation dripping from ac near elevator area. Room ac temp at time too cold at time too hot. No way if maintaining temp. Have to adjust throught the night.

We stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn Namba and it served our purpose well. It was right in the heart of Dotonburi, with all the shopping, bars & restaurants on your door step. The metro was an easy five minute walk from the hotel, which made getting around Osaka easy. The hotel itself was probably a little tired. At check-in we were warned that the wifi was slow and it was virtually nonexistent, but they’re apparently resolving the issue in the next few weeks. The tap in our bathroom leaked if you moved it out of the neutral position and the blind in the bathroom was a little mouldy. But..overall the hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and it was a good stay.

Bed comfortable, location very close to all amazing spots. Hotel is very dated, clean but my biggest issue was the toilet reeking of sewer smell, it was terrible to the point we dont want tobuse it and just use outside toilets. Also, we are a group of 3 so the bathroom with a clear glass with shade is not the best choice when travelling with a couple and a teenage child.

The only thing good about this hotel is good location. rooms is Okay but staffs were not friendly and not pleasant. They didn’t greet their guests or welcome to their hotel. They didn’t approach me or asking if I need help when I stand there for 10 minutes without asking if I need any help. There were 4 staffs at the counter and they didn’t bother to greet or offer for help.

Habitacion y atencion muy buena, la señorita del recepcion nos ayudo llamando a la estacion de tren para poder recuperar el celular de mi esposa que se quedo en el tren olvidado y efectivamente se lo pudo recuperar al dia siguiente. Ella nos dijo al cerrar el telefono: tranquilos esto es Japon y asi fue. Muchas gracias.

1. We put a “Do Not Disturb” sign outside of our door because we didn’t want housekeeping to come into our room, but housekeeping came into our room anyway. What’s the point in having the sign outside then?!? 2. The WiFi was SOOO slow, we couldn’t surf the internet or do any meaningful work. VERY frustrating!! 3. We needed just ONE hour longer until we were supposed to check out to take care of some things, but were told it would cost us Y1000. Seriously?!? Whatever!

The friendly and service minded reception staff (especially from Ms. Horita and Mr. Urich) who will go the extra mile to assist you. The hotel is very clean, breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel is situated in a safe neighbourhood.

Front desk staff are not friendly, professional and don’t have respect for their guests/customers. They made us feel that they are better than us. On the other hand, house keeping employees are quite respectable, courteous and friendly. In my opinion- the entire front desk staff needs to be re-trained on customer service.

The check-in was very smooth, we received our room keys in about 5 min. The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Location is just 20m to Dontonburi and close to many nice eateries.

The hotel is a close walk to Dotonburi and Shisenkei area which are filled with shopping and dining options. You will have to walk through the night life to get to the hotel so it could get quite busy however it is not noisy once you get to the hotel room. Very convenient location

The location was excellent, right in the heart of the action in Osaka. Suitable maybe for young travelers looking for night activities. But for elderrly or those with young kids, maybe have other options. The area is beside clubs and joints and gets a bit crowded and noisy at times.

We stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn Namba and it served our purpose well. It was right in the heart of Dotonburi, with all the shopping, bars & restaurants on your door step. The metro was an easy five minute walk from the hotel, which made getting around Osaka easy. The hotel itself was probably a little tired. At check-in we were warned that the wifi was slow and it was virtually nonexistent, but they’re apparently resolving the issue in the next few weeks. The tap in our bathroom leaked if you moved it out of the neutral position and the blind in the bathroom was a little mouldy. But..overall the hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and it was a good stay.

It’s same as 6 years ago. And 7-11 store has moved away to further down the road. IRS simple functional hotel n close to Dotonbori n shinsabashi by walking. Although quite a walking distance from namba station. Especially with luggage along going through the traffic n crowd. But that’s namba. Exciting.

Love the location as easily accessible to major shopping areas like Shinsaibashi, Dotonbori, Kuromon Market, Namba Station etc! Amidst some clubs and lounges, it is safe due to japanese peaceful demeanor and culture and we got to observe this part of the nightlife, street fashion, regular part of living etc Hotel itself was compact and rooms expectedly small and can see wear and tear but since out most of the day exploring, won’t really matter! Staff are super and most can speak english and eager to assist in queries.

The location was great. Right next door to dotonbori. Train station was 8 min walk. The hotel is outdated, service was ok. Waited in front desk to drop luggage before check in. They kind of ignored us

Very bad experience on the buffet breakfast. Paid extra US$65.00 for 3 days BF in a small restaurant, but skipped after visited. congested and noisy environment. Very few selection on dishes, almost need to fight for food. Difficult to get a cup for coffee. Didnt refill where all were empty plates out there, although I went at about 0900. Never visit again for sure.

호텔 위치는 도톤보리 바로 앞이라 좋았고, 프론트 직원들은 친절합니다. 그러나 객실은 좁아서 2명 사용하는데 캐리어 펼칠 공간은 부족합니다. 객실 청소도 제대로 안되어 있고, 커튼도 짧아서 침대에 누우면 밖에 불빛이 들어와서 수면에 방해됩니다. 조식도 음식 가짓수도 별로 없고 공간도 협소하여 어수선 했네요.

Stayed three nights steps from the Dotombori district with countless restaurants, street food, shopping and entertainment options. Easy access from two subway/rail stations and multiple subway lines (Midosuji line from Shin-Osaka and the JR rail line to Univeral Studios w/connections). The room itself was clean, quiet and well maintained with comfortable beds and good AC. Breakfast buffet was 7-10 and had decent selection of scrambled eggs, bacon, pasta, breads, cereal, yogourt, fruit, rolls, lunch meat, cheese, juice, coffee, tea, other items and a few Osaka street foods to try. Also a 7/11 and Lawson steps from the lobby for takeout breakfasts or snacks or ATM. The carpets in the halls show their age and some dirt but not really an issue, the carpets in the room was new and clean.

Quarto limpo, bom tamanho, boas amenidades, tem ferro e mesa de passar. Bom café da manhã mas a cozinha fecha antes do término do horário do café, pedi um omelete com 30 minutos antes de encerrar o café e não fui atendida pois já tinha encerrado.

This is not a 4 star hotel. I stayed in a double room on floor 2 and there was tape on the walls to hold the wall corner together. No cotton buds in the bathroom. The breakfast was bland. I could not find a simple yoghurt. I’ve stayed at three star hotels with better breakfast. The reception is not helpful either. I was affected by the typhoon and needed to contact my airline. I asked the reception for help and that said that I could use the phone in the room. No info about any cost, and had to pay almost 2000 yen at checkout. I would’ve hoped for transparancy. This is not the Japanese hospitality we’ve come to love. This hotel is located on the club street, so if you’re looking for that it’s perfect. Otherwise I recommend you choose another hotel. I wish I’d chosen Umeda or similar. Only the cleaning staff gets a gold star. They were super polite and kind. The other staff members can learn from them.

If you’re looking to be in the heart of Osaka, you honestly couldn’t book a better hotel because the location is perfect. Nice, clean and modern no-frills hotel, great value for the price. One thing to note is that we were given a room on the 2nd floor, when we asked for a higher room they said double/king rooms are only on floors 2-4 and all high room floors are twin room, which is a little disappointing, as we were hoping for a view. This didn’t impact the noise though, the room was very quiet considering the hotel’s location!
