An attractive building in a historic location (the Kieffer commando attack on the Casino Bunker on 6 June 1944 took place just in front of the hotel). Well situated for the ferry from England, the Riva Centre bus stop (TWISTO 12 to Pegasus Bridge - limited service - and Caen - good service, NOMAD 121 - at least in summer, albeit a limited service - westwards), both museums in Ouistreham, Carrefour supermarket, a very good restaurant across the road (La Voile Blanche), other restaurants, memorials, etc. Very good value, good breakfast if required, pleasant staff, a bar (with several beers from a local microbrewery). Recommended.

This hotel is conveniently situated right on the sea front. It is a small family run hotel in a historic old building. We were on a motorcycling tour of France and Spain and this was our first stop, (visiting Sword and Gold Beaches). There is no elevator so the three story climb with the luggage was a bit of a struggle after a day in the saddle, and no air conditioning on what was a hot day. Our room was also very small. However the purpose of the visit was to pay respects on Sword beach at 07:30 the next morning and the hotel was perfectly situated for that.

Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das merkt man speziell im Bad/WC. Lage ist hervorragend, wenn man sich geschichtlich interessiert. Parken im Hof gegen 10€. Frühstücken war nett, weil man in einem Wintergarten mit Sicht auf den Strand sitzt.

Arrivés lundi avec un vent très fort, les fenêtres ne sont pas étanches et le vent entre dans la chambre et la température de la chambre est limite. Nous demandons à changer de chambre, ce qui est fait, mais après avoir insisté et surtout avec une mauvaise volonté évidente. Le lendemain matin, ma serviette de bain présentait un trou énorme ( 10 cm X 10 cm) et la seule réaction, "je vais en parler à mon fournisseur". Aucun, "je vous prie de bien vouloir m'excuser" ou autre. Nous y sommes allé une fois et n'y retournerons pas. Prix de la chambre, 95,39 €, sans le petit déjeuner, il est vrai avec vue sur la mer!!!!!!!

Petite chambre , très propre .L'odeur persistante de désodorisant , trop forte , est toutefois désagréable. Nous étions dans la chambre 31 , très petite, confortable en soi , quoique certainement la plus bas de gamme de l'hôtel . Située au deuxième étage , contre la cage d'escalier , les bruits de claquement de portes (escaliers et portes autres chambres) sont très bruyants et gênants.Il serait opportun de régler les freins des portes coupe feu récemment installées. Salle de bain minimum , propre. Pas de possibilité de rangement , hormis le porte valise. Pas de bouilloire , ni bouteille eau à disposition ( nuit à 104 E) Trés bon petit déjeuner à 12h . Parking payant à 7 Pas d'ascenseur. Bon emplacement près de la plage et de restaurants. En résumé j'ai jugé le prix trop élevé pour cette chambre qui reste basique.

An old hotel with uneven stairs and no lift. We stayed here the night before an early ferry departure, and suited our needs well but it was a bit shabby. The room and pillows didn't smell very fresh, but we opened the windows before going out for dinner, and it was much improved on our return. Spare pillows in cupboard were much better than ones on bed.

We really enjoyed our view of the ocean, and the convenience if being close to many restaurants. The room #41 could really use some tender loving care. The shower head wouldn't stay up, the entrance to the room was dark and could use a light and a curtain. Then it could be used as a change room, because the bathroom is too tiny to move around in. Other than that we had a pleasant stay.

Le petit déjeuner très bien. Grosse déception en ce qui concerne la chambre notamment le chauffage, nous étions avec notre petit enfant et il a eu froid. PAS DE CHAUFFE SERVIETTE ou radiateur dans la salle de bain, nous n'avons pas fait prendre de douche à notre petit enfant, d'autre part les serviettes ne séchaient donc pas, TRES DESAGERABLE d'avoir une serviette mouillée (humide) pendant 3/4 jours. C'est dommage car le personnel est bien convivial.
