When I arrived I was greeted by a friendly staff. Checkin was normal. Hallway smelled like smoke. No elevator to the second floor; must use main entrance to building as all other doors were alarmed. Room was clean and does not smell at all (unlike the hallway). I would stay again if I come back to the area.

It was a place to stay while we were in the area. Didn't look like it had been updated for a couple decades. The toilet squealed every time you flushed. It doesn't have an elevator, if you end up on the 2nd floor.

Very Dated.... Hotel smells like smoke, Staff smokes right outside the door, so guests have to walk through second hand smoke. My toliet kept me up the first night... at 4am I spoke to the front desk and kind had an attitude about it. However he did report it to the manager, whom fixed it herself. The next night was much more pleasant. They did state that it was a hot breakfast on booking, the only thing hot that I noticed was like oatmeal. Air conditioner filters are in bad need of replacing to help with the smoke smell. Coffee was cheapest you can get

We paid the extra to get the jetted tub room. Boy, am I glad I did!! The water was nice and hot and the jets worked well. The tub was clean. All of the staff there were friendly and helpful. Can't wait to come back.

The staff was friendly,loved being on top of the hill,the beds was comfortable hotel it's self needs updated ,very old and out dated, maybe offer some fruit with the grab and go breakfast stayed 2 night's. with no elevator was a little inconvenient being on 2nd floor but it was in a ideal area for our purposes to be there. So thank you to all the staff

The hotel looks good all the way to the room, other than the carpet in the halls. The carpet could use a major cleaning or replacing. Once the door opened to the room there was a smell of mildew or something. It appeared to have some mold around the tops of the walls and the wallpaper border at the top was coming loose. Then we were woke up by beating and banging from what sounded like a remodel on the top floor. I dealt with it since we were only sleeping there for 3 nights. Plus it's the only hotel that I could find in the area. The staff was super nice and helpful. Next trip I may have to try the Campton area.

The room was clean, however, there was a large gap around the door that let in light & light came in around the curtains....which made it hard to fall asleep. The wallpaper boarder around the ceiling was loose & falling down. The walls had dust on the wallpaper (above the lamps it was very noticable). The caulking around the tub had black mold on it. The breakfast was very limited (fruit & grain bars & cereal). The coffee was ok. Nothing special!

When we checked in and got to our room, the hall light in the room was out. Instead of giving us a new room, he just said they’d fix it tomorrow which they never did. The housekeeper only brought towels and didn’t clean anything but there was a dead roach behind the toilet and something gross and yellow on the toilet seat. Shower barley had any pressure and the toilet barley flushed. The walls were gross and so was the carpet. Both need to be redone! The breakfast was only muffins and juice and they were out of juice by the time I even got down to breakfast which wasn’t even time to clean up yet, it was only 7. The bed was nice but that was probably it. The parking sucks, some people don’t know how to park and there are not that many spaces. The spaces they do have, some run into others so it is very unsafe for vehicles needing to back out or come in.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke terribly! The floor looked like it hadn't been vaccumed in quite some time. The shower hadnt been cleaned as there was left over shampoo on the walls. Trash bag in the hallway.

When checking in the clerk informed me that my door doesn’t latch properly and that I need to “lift” up the door to secure it. Why put me in that room then? Unless they are all that way. Didn’t make me feel safe. That said I didn’t have any big problems. Breakfast is a joke, it was coffee and a granola bar of questionable expiration date. The room itself was noisy, everything could be heard from the hallway and surrounding rooms, the door not closing right didn’t help I’m sure. Also the toilet would run very loudly intermittently throughout the night.

This property is in desperate need of an upgrade. We booked 2 nights and probably should have only stayed one. The room was clean enough but, there were holes in the walls, the wall paper was pealing up and even moldy in the bathroom. The hallways had a bit of a musty smell and desperately needed a vacuum. The staff was very kind and friendly and the bed was comfortable but, honestly I would not stay here again as it desperately needs to be upgraded.

Came in for a funeral. Very glad the hotel was only 4 miles from funeral home. Nice room very comfy bed and pillows which was awesome after a 4 hr drive. if i could suggest one thing it would be to have more towels. But my husband and i made it thru lol. check in and out was easy. would definitely stay there again and recommend to family and friends. Staff very friendly and price was very budget friendly.

Since there are no hotels in the area other than this one, if you need to be in the area, you have very little choice. Hotel is rundown, dirty carpets, plumbing issues, water has bad taste, mold in the bathroom, weak breakfast choice, walls in need of a paint job. The front desk area behind where the attendant stands is junked up with stuff and the carpet is disgusting. Aside from all these issues, we would stay here again if need be, but will try to avoid if at possible. The people were nice.

We were very pleased with our room. Since we were in that area to visit Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge, this hotel was within a reasonable driving range - about 22 miles. There is a local Hardees where we ate breakfast, although the hotel does have a continental breakfast. There is a tv in the room, which had good channels including HBO. Our room was very clean and the hotel was very pretty inside. The outside needs some work but that part didn't matter. We would definitely stay again, as it was well worth the price.

The staff was friendly, the location is great, but they need to renovate the place. The carpet smells pretty bad. One thing that I hated is that they have a picnic table right at the entrance and there is staff members and guests smoking right when you walking to get in.

This is the only place around if you find yourself in west liberty. So it was worth staying & avoiding a 45-60 minute drive for me while I had a 4 day job. But my clothes, luggage, even ice pack smell like stale cigarette smoke when I got home. The carpet need replacing. The bed was comfortable enough. And the staff are very friendly. It just needs a good remodel.

For the money, the hotel could have had a better breakfast for sure! Could have had hard boiled eggs, bagel or toast as a bare minimum. It was clean but everyone I saw that came in to dining area, just did a quick look around and left! They were not interested in just some cereal and a fig bar with coffee. They could do much better!

There weren't any breakfast rolls/pastries as stated on their site. As far as I could tell, there were only dry breakfast cereals. Didn't explore whether there was any coffee (at breakfast) or not, and didn't use the room's coffee maker since there was a McDonald's next door. Because I intended to get some sausage McMuffins there anyway, I got my morning coffee there too.

This was a last minute trip and this was the only hotel with availability on a holiday weekend The carpet was wet, we wore our shoes if we had to walk it was so gross. Breakfast was minimal. I would not stay again unless I had to.

I have been coming to this hotel since it was first built. The staff is super friendly and nice. However, it could really use some updates, the two double bed rooms need to have two queen size beds not two full size beds and the continental breakfast was extremely lack luster.

Breakfast was fruit bars and one type of cereal. I knew it would be limited, but that was just ridiculous. My door had previously been broken into so I had to lift up on it for it to latch. That was a little unnerving. The ladies at the desk were nice.
