It is in the central business district. Another option is to be on the west side of town--more tourist attractions. But Uber works great and is reasonable. The spa area (water areas) were closed when we went there, which was a main reason we picked this hotel. And, the spa has a very limited time for guests of the hotel if you don't want to pay. The breakfast buffet was very good. It is an elegant hotel. Reserve for breakfast ahead of time--it gets busy. They have a nice wine reception in the afternoon for guests.

Their spa was the highlight for us. Social hour from 4-5p in the lobby was great as well to mingle with other travelers while drinking for free! :-) Room was comfy with an amazing tub! Can’t recommend this hotel enough. I stay here every time I’m in Glasgow.

Great stay, Parking is a little chaotic - there is a concierge service which was fabulous just wish I knew about it before the stress of on street parking Spa is stunning so bring your costume!

Great central location and staff were friendly - doorman David was particularly helpful and kind. The hotel is nicely designed though only minor downside was felt spa area could have been a bit better maintained e.g. cleanliness (tissue in pool) and corridors were a bit flooded and though hotels fault per se, people kept mixing up robes. The rooms are nice and spacious and the stocked complimentary mini bar was a nice touch. Although we never got the chance for the hotels drinks offer we heard about it plenty from other guests who enjoyed it. We did use the gym which is ok but one machine (stair stepper) did not work and worth noting there is no treadmill. Overall a comfortable stay

Hotel was so beautiful, shower had excellent shower pressure. Arrival we were given a prosecco, wine hour was nice. Breakfast was so good. Room service was so fast and good quality. Spa was nice.

Absolute perfect hotel for a 2 night break in Glasgow. It was 5 minutes down the hill to the city centre so no need for taxis. The breakfast was lovely, staff were attentive and the jacuzzi bath looking into the bedroom was fab! Residents can use the spa early in the morning and between 5-8pm at night. It was good just putting on the dressing robe in the bedroom and heading to the spa without taking changing bags. Spa area was lovely and warm. Only minor negative was that a couple of the experience rooms in the spa area were out of order. All in all definitely a 5 star stay.

Beautiful hotel in a good location. Great restaurant with tasty dinner and breakfast. There was a big wetspot in the carpet in our room so that you got your feet wet every time you stepped in it. As a result there was a damp and foul odor in the room. I complained just after check in but nothing was done about it. Bed is comfortable and staff was friendly.

Lovely hotel but room was slightly tired and not as clean as we would have expected with dirty spills and stains on table legs and skirting boards beside the bed. Chipped woodwork etc in bathroom. We booked specially to take our baby in the pool having called in advance to check prior to confirming the booking but on arrival were told it wasn’t possible. The lady was lovely and apologetic offering a free round of drinks but it was really quite disappointing and meant we couldn’t use the spa/pool facilities as planned together instead having to take turns within the select hours available to hotel residents - also not as expected. It was supposed to be a bit of a treat and it just didn’t quite work out as I had envisaged. I used my hotels.com reward voucher towards it but had I paid the full rate I would have been pretty unhappy. Wonderful breakfast, beautiful decor throughout. Parking available nearby at a discounted rate. Approx £20 per day. Reception quite busy, had to call numerous times before someone answered. I think the hotel may have been busier than usual though. Staff all very friendly and professional. I would come back but I do think for the money there shouldn’t be any snags and the cleanliness should be tip top.

Air Conditioning was not working. Usually not an issue in Glasgow, but we were there the hottest day of the year. The cleanliness was not up to par. Dust on bed, carpet stained and coming up. Spa not as clean as i would hope.

I did not like the bed at all - from the base frame (it looked dirty) to the hard bed and soft, useless pillows. The headboard also looked like it hasn’t been cleaned. The safe was not working. I did enjoy the lobby area and the staff was so friendly and helpful!

Have stayed before and loved it. This time very disappointed. Our carpet had the biggest dirty mark on it beside the bed which looked like sick or kebab stains. The ironing board was covered in goodness knows what and the fridge was warm. The biggest disappointment was the spa was far too hot we only stayed for 20mins. The pool was hotter than the hot tub and the room temperature was unbareble. Had a cold shower then had to leave.

Arrived at 330 our room wasn’t even ready so given a voucher for a cocktail messed with our plans to be in the spa early then dinner. So had to change these all by time we got into our room. The units were all sticky from night before glasses spilled drink . Spa fab but mobbed , left our robes with room key to come back to and someone lifted them so we had no robes no room keys so ye again back to reception that’s not a good set up everyone wearing same stuff! This must happen all the time

Room was very small, dark and a bit grubby. Was very noisy -constant humming noise even with everything switched off. Would benefit from a good clean in the bathroom to remove previous occupant footprints etc. A few areas looking quite tired. Service very friendly. Location good and bar/food good. This was a premium king - I hate to think what a smaller room would be like. Won’t be back.

Arrived and discovered it was £27 in Q car park to park for the night, check in was easy enough, room was on the top floor 509, carpet along the way was badly stained upon entering the room it appeared clean and nice, we found clumps of hair in the shower upon further inspection although supposed easily missed as the shower is very dark, speaking of the shower it either dribbled out or came out full blast, the complementary mini bar was empty? Not even a can of pop, breakfast - was beautiful well served and plenty of choice, lovely waiting staff. Sadly wouldn’t return for the price it was we were expecting so much more.

For the price its fairly overpriced to be fair. The cleanliness of the spa itself is poor the steam room is dirty most people walked back out. The headboard in the room looks like its never been dusted 🙄 The staff were exceptional top service.

I think this is the most expensive and supposedly best hotel in Glasgow. Located on beautiful Blythswood Square. Maybe we expected more. • The sheer curtain in the room was torn and tattered and tied to the rail with string. • The door to the the minibar cabinet fell off it's hinges. • The AC in the room was not working. Our room was between 75 and 80 degrees. They gave us a fan. This was December. • The mattress was so soft it was like sleeping in a hammock. • Overall a disappointment. Would not stay again.

Although the hotel itself is beautiful and located centrally, we found the staff to be abit hostile and unapproachable. At times we were made to feel uncomfortable around them without any reason. Other than that, the hotel was nice, room was big with a nice bathroom. Just expected the staff to be friendlier.

We’ve been coming here for years, and if I’m honest, the place had lost its magic for a while. But this visit completely restored it. We stayed for my partner’s 45th birthday and everything from start to finish was exceptional. The staff absolutely made the stay. Night concierge, front desk, room service… every single person went above and beyond. It reminded me that it’s the people who make a hotel special, and they were outstanding throughout. We left feeling genuinely looked after and excited to return. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

Booked the blythswood hotel as a treat for my partner and have been looking forward to it for months. Staff were very accommodating, the room was stunning and the spa was excellent. Service could have been slightly better. Ordered room service - they forgot items from our order. For breakfast the food wasn’t great - ordered poached eggs which when arrived were hard boiled. They then offered fresh eggs which took around 15 minutes to arrive. Ordered toast with our breakfast which arrived more than 3/4 of the way through our meal. It seemed as though there were issues at most tables which is a shame.

A good 4 star, not a 5 star. Carpet and couch in room were stained. Night manager challenged us on if we were residents just because they had a celebrity staying. Young staff not very attentive. Lacked leadership.

The hotel was fantastic! Very close to many attractions, including shopping on Buchanan Street. Spacious, comfortable rooms. Loved the cocktail hour every afternoon in the lobby. Food was wonderful, including room service. All staff were so friendly and helpful and best of all was David, the concierge, who took amazing care of us!

Beautiful hotel in great location. Lovely staff, especially the concierges/doormen. Super spa. Bikes to borrow, too. Quiet bedroom. All excellent. One minor problem - bedroom doors shut with a bang which might be a nuisance to some.

The best place to stay if you want to be centrally located near City Centre. A beautiful historic building that’s been refitted as a hotel, right across from a lovely little garden. Staff was super nice and helpful. Room is well appointed with a generously stocked free mini-bar, quality bathroom products, and lots of storage.

Lovely hotel, great spa, friendly and accommodating staff. the only reason for 4 stars was the breakfast both days was disappointing. First day in the restaurant the hollandaise just tasted of vinegar, the second day to the room, the pancake was tough and inedible. Small complaints but given the cost a disappointing detail.

Staff were all really friendly and welcoming wherever you went in the hotel. Bed in room was very comfy. Would recommend the spa, however we went at 5pm when it was very busy would have been better to go a bit later. Plenty of choice for breakfast, only slight criticism was the wait for tea and waiter taking food order. Would stay again 😊

Hotel was so beautiful, shower had excellent shower pressure. Arrival we were given a prosecco, wine hour was nice. Breakfast was so good. Room service was so fast and good quality. Spa was nice.

Room very nice, comfortable bed, great bathroom, adequate phone charging, good heating/cooling, quiet room, good lighting. Overall my room was excellent, the staff at the door and reception were also very good. Sadly the on-site restaurant was disappointing, staff were very young and poorly trained, knew nothing about the menu and the food was mediocre, I’d suggest eating out in another restaurant.

The staff was excellent. The doormen were extremely attentive and courteous and helpful provided a very warm atmosphere. The beds in the room, however, are extremely stiff. Both my wife and my backs were hurting after sleeping. The bathroom was set up well, and the desk working area was away from the beds.

Top notch hotel. Very helpful staff. We loved the Salon Bar (beware it's not open Monday or Tuesday). We ate dinner at the restaurant once, was good but a bit overpriced. The hotel is on a hill so be prepared to do hill walking on hire cars as needed if you don't have your own.

Starting with the best - the concierge(s) are first class! The best I have encountered in literally years! They belong at the best hotels in the world and made the stay a better experience than it might have been otherwise. The not great- the hotel lobby is stunning, exactly what you think for a five star hotel, but when you get upstairs the hallways are dark, often have multiple trays of room service half eaten food in them, and are dingy. The rooms have no view to speak of at all and one of the rooms (we had two) had half a window and was pretty dark. We had to ask the front desk to have housekeeping come clean the rooms over multiple days- and though they made the bed they really did not clean at all- including leaving trash. The towels were threadbare and rough and the rooms were more akin to a four star hotel- and ugly. They had no charm at all. On top of that the first morning we were there a staff member knocked and before waiting for a reply just used a key to open the door! I was not dressed and if my husband had not been in the room with me the man would have just walked in on me without my clothes on. We called out in alarm when he open the door and he said that he was bringing a bag - which was super odd as we had checked in the day before and had no additional bags. As a female guest I felt vastly unsettled and somehow unsafe. We reported it immediately and did not hear back from anyone in management until we were leaving - and only at our request.
