Great breakfast selection. Great views from main house side of road Cassandra was very helpful as were the bar, kitchen and room clean staffs. Various areas of the property are lacking general maintenance (partly due to the age of the structures. I booked this location because the website showed a very nice looking pool, temp was near 90 degrees. Upon arrival the pool was under renovation. The website I clicked and booked on showed all the amenities including the pool. The manager (Mike) said the pool was taken off all websites and I could not have seen such a thing... WRONG! Not a very guest friendly comment amongst others, especially his delivery. Would not recommend this place until some improvements are made.

Absolutely lovely. We were in Quarter Deck building. The America room. Very nice. Comfy king bed. The view out our picture window was phenomenal! Felt like on a cruise ship. Breakfast was made to order. Beautiful breakfast room with views of the water. Can’t say enough. A hidden gem. Definitely will be going back in the fall. Very very quiet as well.

This June, my wife and I chose to stay at the Yankee Clipper Inn because of its proximity to downtown Rockport, MA, and the many favorable reviews. We arrived late at night in the ocean fog. Our room in the Quarterdeck House was furnished with beautiful 19th-century period pieces: The king-size brass bed had a fine spread and a very comfortable mattress for a perfect night’s sleep. There was plenty of storage in 19th-century furniture for our clothing, ample extra electrical outlets, and proper charging stations for phones and computers. The bathroom had an elegant, gigantic shower and 2 sinks. We were delighted to find a full-size fridge outside our door. The following morning, as the fog cleared, we got our first look out the picture window: a spectacular view of the ocean and the rocky shore, with birds flying overhead and diving for fish. It felt as if we were on a cruise, without the seasickness! Oh yes. There were even fishermen checking their traps. The breakfast dining room is located at the back of the main house, on an enclosed porch where each table overlooked the grounds and the sea. Food is prepared to order with a special of the day, and a bar where you can select fruits, yogurt, etc. The servers were friendly and attentive. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will not hesitate to return for another stay.
