We stayed here for one night whilst visiting friends in the area. We booked a twin room. The room was very small but clean with a lovely en-suite shower room attached. the beds were very comfortable. We arrived early so while we waited for our room to be ready we ordered a BLT double toasted sandwich which we both shared, it was delicious. There was plenty of parking in the car park outside. In the evening our friends joined us for a meal at the inn, the pub is obviously very popular as it was a Monday night and was full. My choice of fish pie had sold out so I opted for the Broom Burger, as did my husband. We were a little disappointed in the burger, it was very dry and overcooked, our friends, however enjoyed their meal so maybe it was just a one off. We had a full cooked English breakfast in the morning, which was excellent, freshly cooked and plentiful. We started with the fruit salad which was lovely, fresh raspberries, strawberries apples and grapes. We would definitely stay here again but maybe try and book a larger room.

Fabulous place - right off the main transport links. I was travelling from Devon to Derbyshire so this is a great mid-way stopover This was the 3rd time staying. Food is amazing - good menu without being massive and overwhelming. I had to leave at the time brekkie started so the staff offered with a takeaway brekkie or pre-order so it was ready on the dot if 7am and I could just eat and leave quickly.

An attractive and popular inn. The room was comfortable and clean and all the staff were helpful and pleasant. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. It is handy for Stratford on Avon and nearby Alcester.

Very nice inn. Absolutely excellent restaurant & pub - food was superb! One downside: seems like some or all of the bathrooms in the hotel have drain pumps and it is really noisy to the point that you'll be awaken in the middle of the night if someone around your room goes to the bathroom. Hotel is nice and cosy, water pressure is reall nice too, condition is brilliant and you can see that it is well looked after. Unfortunately i didn’t sleep well a single night because of highlighted issues.

We had a superb one night stay in the Shakespeare Suite which was in the roof area. Lots of exposed beams but all spotlessly clean with a really comfy bed and quality furniture which all matched. Our evening meal was excellent with the staff very attentive and not afraid to stop for a chat. Breakfast was great too, you chose what you wanted and it was all freshly cooked. We genuinely cannot fault any aspect of our overnight stay, it was excellent from start to finish - staff who are very helpful and friendly and with a lovely restaurant.

What a lovely find! The Shakespeare Suite is fantastic. We had Sunday lunch and would definitely recommend it. I’m gluten free and they catered for me no problems. The staff were lovely and friendly, chatted to us, were attentive and nothing was too much for them! Breakfast the next morning was great. Good choice and freshly cooked to order.

From check in to check out the service was brilliant. All staff were friendly and attentive. The quality of food was lovely and reasonably priced. Probably one of the best english breakfasts I have ever had. The standard of bedrooms was very high.

Great check in, friendly and informative. Food is delicious, I made the mistake of ordering a starter as the main meals are large portions and great value for money. My advice would be to order a main and if you are still hungry go for a desert but I doubt you will need it. Would highly recommend

Great location for walks around the area. Staff were lovely. Room clean & comfortable and food good at a reasonable price. Pretty faultless and good value for money.

Fabulous place - right off the main transport links. I was travelling from Devon to Derbyshire so this is a great mid-way stopover This was the 3rd time staying. Food is amazing - good menu without being massive and overwhelming. I had to leave at the time brekkie started so the staff offered with a takeaway brekkie or pre-order so it was ready on the dot if 7am and I could just eat and leave quickly.

Cracking hotel/pub. Stayed before and it’s def on my list of fave places! Rooms are a super high std and so comfortable Pub is really lovely and food is good without being over complicated Really close to main roads

An attractive and popular inn. The room was comfortable and clean and all the staff were helpful and pleasant. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. It is handy for Stratford on Avon and nearby Alcester.

From check in to check out the service was brilliant. All staff were friendly and attentive. The quality of food was lovely and reasonably priced. Probably one of the best english breakfasts I have ever had. The standard of bedrooms was very high.

Really good place and looks to have had a recent refurbishment. Staff really friendly and easy to deal with. Food was really good apart from the steak I had which was like rubber along with thick lumpy sauce

Love the room, clean, all the necessary facilities, quiet. Food was great, breakfast freshly cooked and included in the room cost. What’s not to like. Staff also very friendly, helpful and and attentive.

We stayed here for one night whilst visiting friends in the area. We booked a twin room. The room was very small but clean with a lovely en-suite shower room attached. the beds were very comfortable. We arrived early so while we waited for our room to be ready we ordered a BLT double toasted sandwich which we both shared, it was delicious. There was plenty of parking in the car park outside. In the evening our friends joined us for a meal at the inn, the pub is obviously very popular as it was a Monday night and was full. My choice of fish pie had sold out so I opted for the Broom Burger, as did my husband. We were a little disappointed in the burger, it was very dry and overcooked, our friends, however enjoyed their meal so maybe it was just a one off. We had a full cooked English breakfast in the morning, which was excellent, freshly cooked and plentiful. We started with the fruit salad which was lovely, fresh raspberries, strawberries apples and grapes. We would definitely stay here again but maybe try and book a larger room.

Great check in, friendly and informative. Food is delicious, I made the mistake of ordering a starter as the main meals are large portions and great value for money. My advice would be to order a main and if you are still hungry go for a desert but I doubt you will need it. Would highly recommend

Very clean and comfortable with generally very generous food portions of a good standard but some shortcomings at breakfast eg toast but no jam or marmalade offered, only 1cup of coffee offered , butter portion small . Otherwise very good value.

All staff friendly, good atmosphere in the bar. Great food ate in the evening and breakfast. The room was spacious, clean and the fans were great in the heat. Slept well in the bed and there wasn't much noise from the road. No issues at all with the hotel, food or staff.

What a lovely find! The Shakespeare Suite is fantastic. We had Sunday lunch and would definitely recommend it. I’m gluten free and they catered for me no problems. The staff were lovely and friendly, chatted to us, were attentive and nothing was too much for them! Breakfast the next morning was great. Good choice and freshly cooked to order.

Being a pub l thought that l would be disturbed by noise..but l wasn’t . The evening meal and breakfast were excellent..and served with a smile from friendly helpful staff.

Room was very clean and lovely ambience. There wasn’t an iron, tissues or a fridge, which we struggled with and there was no bottled water in the room. Toilet could have done with a deep clean, flushing was poor and sounded broken and the tap kept dripping water out of it. No lock on the bathroom door, and the shutting mechanism didn’t work, faulty. Will, who was first introduced to us who told us about the room and gave us the keys was super lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, tasty, hot and very fast!! However the lady who served us on our first morning (Friday) was very rude and obnoxious. Made us feel nervous to ask for anything, not welcoming at all. Today’s breakfast served by Robyn and a lady, they were lovely and very attentive. Overall lovely stay, beautiful room, just acquired more facilities.

Overall, very friendly staff and comfortable accommodation. Dining fairly good but not outstanding. Breakfast very good, but had to ask for marmalade for toast. Nice location.!

Check in could be improved. Arrived to a busy pub with customers waiting for service at the bar and no designated check in desk. Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes. The room was okay but not as shown on our booking confirmation - it was an attic room with very steep stairs and a not very safe landing area outside the door. The bathroom had been shoehorned in under a sloping ceiling - there was no shower, just a bath with handheld shower attachment. For anyone elderly or with any motability issues this room would have been totally unsuitable - the bath was very difficult to get in/out even with a grab rail. The bedroom had sloping ceilings - resulting in banged heads. Breakfast was good but the menu in the room folder is not the breakfast menu on offer. Parking is in a busy pub carpark and can be a challenge to find a space. Overall we had a nice stay but there is potential for improvement.
