Excellent property, clean and spacious room. Pool was nice and warm. No small pool for kids/childern. Excellent service overall. Only one thing I didn't like were the pillows in the room too high and hard. Rest everything was nice. Food was good too.

Nice hotel at a reasonable price. Large rooms and bathroom. Bedding & towels were good quality though the pillows were really hard & uncomfortable. Decor is ok but could do with a refresh. Pool is a good size but poolside needs a refurb. I didn’t use the jacuzzi or sauna as both were monopolised for the entire time I was in pool by a group of big fat men!

Check in was easy. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful. Room was clean an tidy in a fairly quiet location. The beds are not thr comfiestand the pillows are hard but i did ask for a softer one which i got. Fire alarm went off 3 times while there. Once at 3am as someone was vaping in their room then at 11am and then again the next day for a drill. Leisure are was good although we found it annoying that they have chosen to close the club at 630 on a weekend. Found this inconvenient. Good range of food in the restaurant with many gluten free options. Prices not too bad

Pulled up to hotel and it looked lovely, upon going into the hotel it looked great. Checking in was easy and didn’t take too long. Got to the room, was extremely dirty. There was wrappers on the floor, dust on the head boards. Black stuff in the bathroom. Opened the safe there was empty Stella cans in there and necklace case. Lock on the bathroom door was broken. Had food in the bar and grill, never experienced anything so bad. Had steak and the duck, it was horrendous!!! Kids meals were ok. Waiter didn’t really seem bothered the food was so bad and just smiled and apologised for service, then walked off. Swimming was good and the facilities were good in that respect. The grounds it’s set on are really nice with nice outdoor space to sit. Overall a nice stay and in a nice location, just the cleaning of the room and food were really bad.

We got a free upgrade to an Executive double room as it was partners birthday but the room didn't look like it had been serviced in a while. Clean bedding but floor in bedroom and bathroom not clean, splash marks down the unit in bathroom, dust on furniture etc! Staff were friendly and breakfast was delicious, hot and fresh

Beautiful Hotel and grounds, lovely staff. The menu was a bit limited for evening meals and leaned towards quantity over quality. The breakfast times could do with being a bit earlier during the week when people would be visiting the hotel for business purposes, there were alot of people milling about in the lobby waiting for the breakfast room to open. Otherwise everything else was lovely.

We were so disappointed with our stay here. This was an unexpected last minute trip and we decided to treat ourselves to this hotel as it looks amazing in the promo material but sadly it didn’t live up to the hype. Our room was not particularly clean and it was dark and dingy. The bathroom in particular was not so clean. There was no bathmat for stepping out of the shower (which was actually amazing) so we had to use a hand towel. There was no coffee in the hospitality tray which needed a clean. The window was dirty and there was a cracked pane of glass. At breakfast which was not particularly great I noticed one of the staff cleaning a table that had just been vacated and some cutlery which the occupants had moved to the side was left on the table so she cleaned round these and then put them back out on when resetting the table which is really not hygienic as she didn’t know what they had done with the cutlery. The staff on the whole were lovely but not enough to overcome the negatives at this hotel. When you have paid a high price for one night you expect to at least have a clean room and a decent breakfast. We’ve stayed in much cheaper places which have provided a far superior service to that received from Hollins Hall. I can honestly say I would never recommend this place to anyone. Don’t be fooled by the beautiful facade.

The room was dirty. There was a full thick layer of dust in the cupboards. There is not even any bottled water in the rooms. You have to go downstairs and request water, which is charged. The room was not cleaned when we left for the day. The phone did not work so we would need to go downstairs every time there was an issue. There was calcification in the large jug serving water at breakfast.

We only stayed one night, so didn't have chance to use the hotel facilities. But it was busy. Easy to find, loads of car parking. Rooms were clean, but could do with a really deep clean. Bathroom clean. Hotel is very close to many restaurants and activities. Leeds and Bradford both close by. Would recommend great to be in a quiet green area but so close to the city.

The hotel itself is lovely but customer service is appalling. Check in was very slow, we were given a very off putting list of regulations for our dog - not very welcoming! Daily housekeeping was terrible, there were things not done every time. We were given dirty towels with skid marks on one day, another day the card was removed from the door but nothing was done. Tea tray wasn’t replenished, bath wasn’t cleaned, bleach was spilt on the floor and left there Walking around the hotel not one member of staff acknowledged us for our entire stay. Building and grounds are beautiful, pool and spa lovely but badly let down by service

The hotel was very noisy on two of the nights we stayed - the first because of guests shouting and banging doors well after midnight and the second because of a function room with a band and very poor sound proofing. (They did stop at midnight)The room was large but old and tired looking and there we no power outlets near the bed for changing phones etc. Staff were helpful and the grounds pleasant but our window looked straight at thick trees.

Nice room, comfortable bed. Enjoyed using the pool. Location was good, surrounded by countryside. Only let down for me was the lack of sound insulation between rooms, conversations could be heard next door while trying to sleep.

Staff were welcoming. Hotel very dated and tired looking, the most horrid noises from 5:30am, you can hear every single noise from people using the bathroom in adjoining rooms, to screaming children and doors banging. No sound proof whatsoever in the room, worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Bathroom very dated, shower terrible, carpets old, stained and dated. No plug sockets next to the bed where you’d expect to plug in charges. No water in the room. Thankfully we didn’t have to stay long

It's an ok place to stay, I'd give it 3* out of 5, but no more. I paid nearly £150 night for a standard double room and they don't even come with aircon. Rooms are very dated compared to a lot of places I stay. Plus side, free parking which a lot of places charge for these days.

If a view is important to you, this hotel is not for you. We booked a suite, we were overlooking a felt roof and hotel walls, we were moved to the room directly above, same view but from the floor above, receptionist had no real understanding of the hotel plan. The manager told us the following morning that no rooms have stretching views due to the close proximity to the hill that the hotel is built on. Spa and gym are nice. Breakfast is decent although it is self service which is fine but you do have to manoeuvre the very hot lids in a very tight space. If you buy breakfast tokens, do not forget them, the lady sent 2 guests back to the room to retrieve them, not sure why she couldnt call reception to check. Cleaner did not clean our room even though I spoke to her to let her know that we were leaving in 30 mins as well as having the please clean my room sign. There was also an empty beer bottle under our bed from previous guests. Do not normally leave negative reviews but this is advertised as 5 start on Hotels.com. Not the worst hotel but certainly not 5 Star (can only commemt on the suites)

Pool is a good size but poolside needs a refurb. I didn’t use the jacuzzi or sauna as both were monopolised for the entire time I was in pool by a group of big fat men!

Lovely setting. Rooms were comfortable but a little tired. Could do with a refresh. Staff was friendly but somewhat helpless and unapologetic when things went wrong.

Unfortunately I wouldn't stay at this property again due to rude and inexperienced bar staff. Myself and other guests at the wedding we were attending were over charged more than once and although we complained not one of us had our lives overpayment refunded. It is a shame as it is a nice Hotel

Check in was poor as we arrived at the same time as a coach party. When I told Receptionist we were not with the party she asked the 2 of us to wait until the party had been dealt with. Not great service. Room and rest of stay very comfortable

Cannot charge to the room which is annoying. Not asked on booking in to book the restaurant and told when I arrived for dinner that no tables were available, all very chaotic. Luckily a table became free just as I was going out to eat. Very poor organisation although the food was quite good

The hotel itself is lovely but customer service is appalling. Check in was very slow, we were given a very off putting list of regulations for our dog - not very welcoming! Daily housekeeping was terrible, there were things not done every time. We were given dirty towels with skid marks on one day, another day the card was removed from the door but nothing was done. Tea tray wasn’t replenished, bath wasn’t cleaned, bleach was spilt on the floor and left there Walking around the hotel not one member of staff acknowledged us for our entire stay. Building and grounds are beautiful, pool and spa lovely but badly let down by service

Great older hotel, great facilities. Shame the smaller bar just to relax wasnt open and showed the sports. Hotel staff helpful and pleasent, golf / restaurant staff very slow at service and had people waiting a long time. Even a friendly morning hello wouldnt go a miss .... Nice food and good value.

Check in was easy. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful. Room was clean an tidy in a fairly quiet location. The beds are not thr comfiestand the pillows are hard but i did ask for a softer one which i got. Fire alarm went off 3 times while there. Once at 3am as someone was vaping in their room then at 11am and then again the next day for a drill. Leisure are was good although we found it annoying that they have chosen to close the club at 630 on a weekend. Found this inconvenient. Good range of food in the restaurant with many gluten free options. Prices not too bad

We only stayed one night, so didn't have chance to use the hotel facilities. But it was busy. Easy to find, loads of car parking. Rooms were clean, but could do with a really deep clean. Bathroom clean. Hotel is very close to many restaurants and activities. Leeds and Bradford both close by. Would recommend great to be in a quiet green area but so close to the city.

Hollins Hill Hotel is one of my favourite hotels. Great location for meeting clients around Leeds and Bradford with plenty of open spaces including excellent golf course The Grill on the Hill is just right for a pub type meal and drinks while the drawing room offers a range for breakfasts. In particular I enjoy the pool and sauna health centre. All at a very reasonable price.

Pulled up to hotel and it looked lovely, upon going into the hotel it looked great. Checking in was easy and didn’t take too long. Got to the room, was extremely dirty. There was wrappers on the floor, dust on the head boards. Black stuff in the bathroom. Opened the safe there was empty Stella cans in there and necklace case. Lock on the bathroom door was broken. Had food in the bar and grill, never experienced anything so bad. Had steak and the duck, it was horrendous!!! Kids meals were ok. Waiter didn’t really seem bothered the food was so bad and just smiled and apologised for service, then walked off. Swimming was good and the facilities were good in that respect. The grounds it’s set on are really nice with nice outdoor space to sit. Overall a nice stay and in a nice location, just the cleaning of the room and food were really bad.

Excellent property, clean and spacious room. Pool was nice and warm. No small pool for kids/childern. Excellent service overall. Only one thing I didn't like were the pillows in the room too high and hard. Rest everything was nice. Food was good too.

I booked for a night on business and could not believe the hotel. Gym, Pool and fitness centre all great. They had an offer for food of £20.00 for an all you can eat buffet and this has to be the best value I have had. Starter 3 meat and 2 vegetarian mains salad, dessert and a cheese selection all included. Excellent value for money. ,

Hotel room lovely and clean. Really comfortable and lots of room. Disappointed that the restaurant was fully booked even though we weren't told too book on check in and also disappointed that even with a full hotel they shut the bar at 10.30, ushered us out and put the shutters down.

The place was immaculate. Such a delight to explore. Staff were so polite, friendly and I cant reccommend the place enough. I travel 1000,s of miles up and down the UK regularly. I would make this my go to everytime. Pennies more than premier inn,s and other places, 100% worth it .

The room was very clean no problems. The mattress was very hard and could of done with extra pillows. The facilities such as swimming where very clean and amazing pool. We booked the breakfast which was help yourself to continental and cooked. We paid an extra tenner at the reception to have a little later check out.

Room was clean and was ready for us. Staff very nice and friendly. Domestic staff cleaning were very polite and friendly too. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice. There was work going on in the hotel but it was well contained. We have stayed here many times as we have family in the area. Would definitely recommend this hotel and stay again
