The only problem for me was no elevator to third floor

The hotel is located at the outskirts of Petawawa. Even though it is near the river, it is not a feature. The hotel is part of the complex with a smorgasbord of various businesses and services: intercity bus stop, Purolator/FedEx shipping point, bar/nightclub, pizzeria, sandwich shop, laundry, convenience store, and I’m sure some other services. As a hotel guest you get 20% off on food at the bar and the sandwich shop. We stayed in room 102 with two queen beds. Everything inside was dated, but clean and well-maintained. There were a mini-fridge and a microwave in the room. Our view was a literal brick wall. The room also had Netflix and a DVD player (apparently not every room has those). Wi-fi was pretty reliable at 26 Mbps. A loud in-wall AC/heater was controlled by a thermostat. Water pressure in the shower was good, despite an outdated showerhead. Pro-tip: if the water in the tub starts to fill up too much, turn the stopper to drain water (there is a label on it to that effect). Being on the first floor results in a lot of cigarette smoke being sucked in from the outside through the doors, but the windows don't open. The first-floor hallway was also loud - higher floors might be quieter. No breakfast at the hotel, but there are a few options nearby, like Subway, within a walking distance. Be prepared to pay for your stay at check in.

So hotel is old and the Ac was so loud we got no sleep. Food option was okay just don't order from the Pizza place atta hed the worst pizza ever. The poor staff had to run 3 orher service , they run the beckers , the postal depot and the hotel.

Being Seniors it was a bit tiring climbing the stairs to the 3rd floor, especially carrying luggage. Every other thing was great, from the bar at the back to the food court in front.

Smelt like smoke, looked like most the rooms are apartments and there were people all around the building smoking pot and cigarettes at every entrance. Felt unsafe and very uncomfortable leaving my car unattended as it also doubles as a bus stop. Do not recommend staying here!

I got a great night's sleep, quiet, super clean, excellent hot water! Comfy bed and the dog was happy too!

In spite of my request to have the room cleaned every morning, that didn’t happen after the first night. It was remedied when I went to the front desk the next morning and again, made the request. I had to turn off (unplug) the air conditioner due to noise. Other than this, my stay was a good one.

We booked a room with queen beds. They were double beds. I woke up with bites on my ankle and forearm. No breakfast offered. Next time I will book one of the new hotels down the street!

Overall, this property is just okay. The beds are comfortable, and the room is spacious. However, there are a couple things to know: If you are drawn to this place because of the awesome views of the river, you should know that the only way it’s visible is from the deck of the restaurant (attached to the hotel). We stayed on the second floor. There’s no elevator, and the stairwell is dated (could use a fresh coat of paint and some professional cleaning). Don't be fooled by the outside. You could easily drive by and miss the location. However, the rooms by fair exceed one's expectations. Highly recommend to anyone that wants a clean, quiet, and reasonably priced room.

over price and not really a view of the river

The property was very close to the base, therefore driving back and forth was a short drive. There are tons of places to eat and drink coffee in minutes
