Hampton Inn & Suites Palestine

Very disappointed to get here and the entire hotel is being renovated. I booked ONLY so I could exercise in the morning before starting my day. The gym was closed and they still charged full price.

Firstly pool closed permanently but listed available on website. Secondly they put us in the wrong room that I paid for

The property is under construction and they put us on 4 floor with no elevator working..we turned around and walked out the door. The employee at the makeshift front desk needs to find another job that does not require inner acting with public. Worst hotel experience ever after driving 8 hrs

Renovations were not mentioned when booking, disappointed about the ongoing construction noise , closed pool , closed laundry ., etc ....terrible continental breakfast ! And loud air condition noise the whole stay...smh ! Terrible stay !!! Very disappointed for the money I paid ☹️😠

This hotel is under renovation and still needs a lot of work. The pool has been permanently closed and during our visit the laundry facility was not working.

There was overall construction going on that we were not made aware of. Lots of dirt/dust inside and outside 😞 Parking was a real issue 😣

The hotel is undergoing a huge renovation right now, and not only is there no lobby, no sitting area, and no breakfast, there is tons of noise, dust, and old furniture and mattresses outside. It looked like the hotel had been through some sort of disaster. We choose Hampton Inn specifically for the comfort, quiet, and breakfast. This stay had none of these. We were in town for a funeral, and our family had 5 rooms booked (we had 2 ourselves for us and my sons). It would have been nice to have a heads-up that this was happening so we could make an informed decision. There was no lobby or "breakfast" area, and when we asked if there was a place the family could sit together to visit for awhile, we were told that a conference room would cost $200 to rent. Inexcusable. We wont stay at that Hampton again.

It would have been nice to know that the hotel is in the middle of a huge remodel. Noise, dust, mess, no lobby, meager breakfast...what a disappointment. We have stayed here before, and this time we were intown for a family funeral. Between our 2 rooms and other family members, we had at least 5 rooms. When we asked if there was somewhere family could sit and visit, since there was no lobby, we were offered a conference room for over $200. The elevators were a mess, tons of noise, and old furniture and mattresses all over the front of the property. We choose our hotels based on several things, and breakfast and pet friendly are 2 major categories. There was very little breakfast (and nowhere to eat it), and I'm glad our dog was not with us this time. She would have never gotten any sleep. We definitely wont be back, and knowing that Hotels.com doesn't know about thing ljke this, its going to be difficult to trust future bookings.

The manager was NEVER available and all requests were pushed off as "I have to talk to my manager". There was also construction everywhere and the side entrances were not working- meaning that you could enter without a key. It felt very unsafe. Ive stayed at this hotel many times in the past but this was one of the worst hotel experiences ever and I wont be coming back. My advice is to try the LaQuinta just down the road if you have to travel to this town.

Should have been told about construction and no pool, laundry and abbreviated breakfast or given a discount

The gem of this property is the front desk staff--they were all extremely kind. When housekeeping was late cleaning our room for check-in, she found us another room so we wouldn't have to continue waiting in the lobby. In addition, the rooms themselves were clean, although I did spot black mold in the shower (yuck). Now the downsides. They mix up rooms that allow pets with others that don't. We were woken up at 4:30 a.m. to someone's yappy dog who had decided it was a perfect time to play. I have a health condition with chronic pain, and good sleep is critical to managing my pain levels. Between the bed that was too soft and hurt my back, and the yapping dog, I slept poorly and had a high pain day, on a day where we had activities planned. This was preventable. Since I paid for a room that had no pets, why do I have to listen to someone else's dogs? Keep the pet owners isolated on their own floors. My other feedback is on the food. I have dietary restrictions--real dietary restrictions, not politically motivated ones. I was grateful to see a sign that says those with dietary restrictions should talk to the food staff. Yay. But the lady staffed only spoke Spanish; although I kept telling her "no milk" she kept directing me to milk. In the end, I couldn't eat there. Like most hotels, the breakfast food is garbage quality; full of fillers. Finally, a lot of things were broken: the pool was out, one of the two elevators was out, and it felt like the hallways had no AC.

Came to ride the train. The hotel was so clean!! I totally enjoyed that. We have stayed at some hotels and they weren’t that clean. I will stay here again!!!

Upon checking into our room I inspected it and noticed stains ontop of comforters, I immediately went down to the front desk to ask clerk for new bedding, the clerk then gave me the bedding for me to remake beds we haven’t even used. I think we should’ve been offered a new room, so I return to room to change the bedding and came to the realization that these are not comforter tops and they had holes in them. We were now running late for our event so upon leaving I asked the clerk could they correct this while we were out, he said yes but when we got back to the room that night, nothing was changed. Tired from event we just went to bed, but my wife and I had a hard time getting to sleep because of the toilet running all night! This was a horrible experience and I really just want my money back.

Services was good , first floor was in remodeling but the room on 4 level was very good everything was new.

I don't make it a habit to write ad copy. Location was convenient to the event we were attending, but the parking wasn't great and the construction was annoying. One of the adjacent rooms apparently had to sleep with the TV on. I suggest they add better sound-proofing

The room was excellent! I had a ton of space and the people were very friendly!

I guess there are train tracks near by? Something made a lot of noise during the night

There was no hot water in the room for sinks or shower, called front desk and advised that their maintenance crew would no be available until Tuesday, They said Expedia would have to make any refund to my booking. So, please refund my charges for this room.

Convenient location and nicely renovated rooms. Can't quite figure out why there's an iron in the room - which people seldom use, but no blow dryer.

Under renovation, did not affect our stay. The heater/ac was VERY noisy/squeaky in room 410 (only complaint). Everything else was perfect.

Decent rooms. Bed was extra firm, other than that it was fine.

The hotel was in the process of a large renovation. Had I known that, I would not have booked at this hotel. We ran water in the shower for 30 minutes before getting water that was barely lukewarm, much less hot. They did move us to a different room the next day. The shower in the second room went from hot to cold to hot.

So kind and caring - we have stayed at this hotel many times in the past for family funerals and the staff is so kind and caring showing compassion at a sad time for the family. I normally book a number of rooms and the staff tries to ensure that we are able to stay as close together as possible. the rooms are comfortable, clean and no issues with air conditioning during this unusual hot summer. Hampton Inn and Suites is our go to when visiting home!

Staff is rude and unprofessional. No internet during stay , could not check in told to come back later when system up! Where do travelers have to go and wait for 2 hours for an expensive room that less than 12 hour stay! Unbelievable! I will pay more and try the La Quinta next time!

Excellent property. Close to lots of dining options and the Texas State Railroad.

The staff was incredibly friendly. Our rook had two queen beds and was quite spacious. The breakfast was good too. We came to ride the Texas State Railroad. This hotel was only 10 minutes away. Perfect location and great price.

Shower head was very loose. Almost ready to fall off. Three women in the room and towels and wash cloths used the first day were not replaced when room was cleaned. Had to ask for more towels and wash cloths. Breakfast was excellent.

The hotel was nice & clean, and very quiet. The customer service was excellent! The receptionist told me what the breakfast hours were. I told her I had to be at work at that time. The next morning, to my surprise, breakfast was served an hour early!

it was under construction and nobody mentioned this before i book this hotel , you can feel the dust and the smell at anytime, the breakfast was just a side table with couple of muffins and boiled eggs i was ending having a coffee next door, i understand that they need to improve the hotel but will be good a warning so we can decide if book or no, so not good experience on my first trip to palestine

The staff were extremely polite. The beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. Breakfast was good, and the coffee and tea selections were great.

The hotel is undergoing a renovation and I did not know that when making my reservation. The room assigned to us was a handicap room. Due to renovation the breakfast offering was light, coffee and breakfast bars. Since we only stayed one night, we could deal with the inconveivance and the "clutter". Really wish I knew that the hotel was in renovation, I would have looked another Hampton in the area.
