Nothing to dislike, clean and tidy. Comfortable bed. Wasn’t expecting a fridge a safe and a coffee maker and bottled water in the room . So all that a big plus All round a definite yes from me. (And I’m hard to please) I would definitely stay again. Close to tube restaurants bars shops etc. Efficient way of getting into room with door code etc

Late booking, but no problems. Arrived and was greeted by Mr. Martel, very welcoming and explained key use, location and how to get around. The room was very clean and well equipped, the beds comfortable and the bathroom clean. Only a few minutes walk to the local tube station and ample parking on the property. Very happy with our stay!!

2 large houses converted into guest house … no staff & no reception but all communication via email & SMS was fast & simple. I stayed in room 1 large bay window en-suite shower room was a bit small but clean & ample parking out front. Nice area high street a short walk & ate at “the refectory” pub with very good Thai food & sky sports

We arrived early so our room wasn’t quite ready but the wonderful cleaning lady soon had that sorted for us, she was warm and welcoming towards us when we checked in, the room (number 7) was a family room with a super-king and two singles was very spacious, very clean and very comfortable. There was plenty of tea and coffee and a little coffee machine. We visited when it was 30 degrees so the air conditioning in the room was a huge bonus. The guest house is situated in a quiet street in Golders Green with no street noise. There was parking too which was great at the front of the property, with only a 5 minute walk down to the tube station. We will definitely be staying here again.

Executive suite was lovely with decent aircon in this warm weather and the road lovely and quiet. Really liked the area which was convenient for me while studying for a course. Was originally booked in the smallest single room which was equipped with a useful fridge but the aircon was broken and I had not been forewarned, so do check in advance if aircon is important to you. Arranged an upgrade with the manager. Housekeeping was excellent and cleaned the room daily. Easy check in. Nice touches with coffee, cafetière, hand soap. Good parking area. Short walk to Finchley rd and to nearby Sainsburys or 10mins to Coop shops. Negatives were small towels and old (but adequate) bathroom en suites. Best thing for me was the peace and quiet.

We had an exceptional stay at Martel Guest House, and Phil, the host, was outstanding. The accommodation was impeccably clean and provided all the amenities one could desire. The parking facilities were excellent, offering a safe and convenient place for our vehicle. Considering the reasonable rates, it's a wonder why anyone would choose to pay exorbitant prices in central London when this gem is available. We will undoubtedly return to Martel Guest House on our next visit to London.

The room was nice and clean but the bathroom could do with a serious upgrade. The shower pressure was non existent. The guesthouse is in a great position for Golders Green tube. I think it is overpriced currently due to the much needed works

Nice guest house on a quiet suburban street. The room was a very good size, the bed comfortable and the ameneties satisfactory. About 10 minutes walk to the underground station. Plenty of places to eat locally. Would happily stay again.

The bed was very comfortable and that is important to me. The bathroom was very small and water pressure issues. I chose to skip the shower for one night due to size and water pressure in sink. Also the communication by email and due to no 24 hour reception was a problem for me due to special needs and when arriving late this is a problem. After many ways of trying to communicating in arrival o managed to contact the manager and he agreed to come to solve my problem regarding medication but it is a risk. One that stays here has to realize the lack of 24 hour service and communication is a problem and although the room was very spacious and comfortable the shower and bathroom facilities very limited

We needed to stay a night in Golders Green. This spot was an easy walk to/from the tube/bus station. The bed was comfy, the room was quiet-ish (the neighborhood is quiet, the walls a bit thin,- we could hear our upstairs neighbors who unfortunately seemed to walk around the room quite a bit throughout the night). The furnishings in the room (aside from the beds) felt a bit tired, as did the bathroom. But the convenience was exactly what we were looking for. Fine for a one-night stay.

Access code to get in was nice. Cleaning ladies let us drop off our bags since checkin wasn’t until 230. They put our bags in our rooms for us and when we came back after doing tourist stuff we were all set.

Late booking, but no problems. Arrived and was greeted by Mr. Martel, very welcoming and explained key use, location and how to get around. The room was very clean and well equipped, the beds comfortable and the bathroom clean. Only a few minutes walk to the local tube station and ample parking on the property. Very happy with our stay!!

Phil was very helpful with all the information and accommodation we requested. We went all around the city and the nearby Golders Green bus and underground station is very convenient.

Really beautiful hotel. The owner Phil is incredible and a great and gracious host. Thank you very much! If we ever come back to London we will be sure to stay here again :)

2 large houses converted into guest house … no staff & no reception but all communication via email & SMS was fast & simple. I stayed in room 1 large bay window en-suite shower room was a bit small but clean & ample parking out front. Nice area high street a short walk & ate at “the refectory” pub with very good Thai food & sky sports

Nice guest house on a quiet suburban street. The room was a very good size, the bed comfortable and the ameneties satisfactory. About 10 minutes walk to the underground station. Plenty of places to eat locally. Would happily stay again.

It was in an easy to get to postion from the national express bus station. I would always book again if I was going to wembley , the public transport to Wembley from here was fantastic and cheap.

Fantastic place to stay in the city while being away from the hustle and noise of London. Walking distance to shops and restaurants, situated in a nice residential area, the guest house provided great beds and personal service as well as being flexible on our early arrival. We walked with our suitcases from a nearby tube stop which allowed easy access from the Waterloo station. I highly recommend this lovely place.

Séjours entre sœurs très sympathique, l'hébergement est situé à quelques minutes du métro et des commodités. Literie très comfortable. Personnels et gérant très gentils et serviable. Le petit hic, les traces de fuites ou d'humidité près de la ventilation. Le tuyau de douche un peu vieillot. Sinon RAS.

Our room was as expected, although the pictures were somewhat misleading when it came to a "garden view." The backyard wasn't well-maintained and was not a pretty sight to look at. The room was clean but had a strange sewer-like odor that seemed to come and go. Parking was free and easy. We stayed here due to its convenient location for our needs and because it had air-conditioning. There was no staff on duty but the owner, Phil, kept in touch before our arrival with clear instructions. Our entry was seamless.

Very happy with our stay at Martel Guest House! Staff were all very friendly and communication was great before and post visit! Room was clean and tidy. Instructions were communicated clearly and no issues on check-in or check-out. One our party left an item behind of some value and after asking if the item was found, Phil got back to us the same day and confirmed the item had been found by staff. Agreed to send a pre-paid envelope to return the item and this was returned straight away! Great experience and would definitely stay again if in the area or visiting Wembley!

We had a great one-night stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and had air conditioning, which was a big plus. Everything was well maintained, and the overall experience was excellent. We would happily stay here again!

On site parking was a real benefit, we really appreciated the air conditioning too, as our stay coincided with a heatwave. Transport links are just a few minutes walk away. The hosts were easily contactable & check in was easy to follow. Would recommend.
