While this isn't a luxury resort, it was perfectly fine for what we needed: a room that slept three in a hotel that allows dogs. Our dog is 65lbs, so it is hard to find a place. The king bed was very comfortable, the bagels in the morning were fresh, and the property was conveniently located to our needs.

It is a motel. It was clean. It was quiet. I was there only a night. Seemed safe. Had small fridge, microwave, a/c. Bring your own soap and shampoo and toothpaste because I saw none (was a small bottle of conditioner). I got what I hoped for. Best thing is I could park right outside the door of my bungalow-type room.

Our room was clean, well appointed and recently updated. The microwave and mini fridge made our stay much more convenient and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was good but the coffee was outstanding. Definitely my first choice when returning to Long Island in the future.

Appreciate the modest continental breakfast with bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and fresh coffee. Nice to be able to sit and eat outside the room at a table or in firepit area. Rooms have refrigerator, microwave, and hot water heater which are welcome amenities. Love the convenience of being able to park right outside the room. Lovely old school motel with back yard feel - the windows all opened and had screens! Recent upfits in very good condition. AC works well for summer visit - tho not super quiet. Very short walk to convenience store and plaza with bagels, Dunkin’, post office, nails and pizza. Breakfast has the basics and is good. Excellent value, amenities & location!

What started as a good stay ended up as not so well as our room was overrun with ants. We realized they were there by Thursday afternoon, and they just kept coming. They were focused around the front window, door and table in front of the front window. It was very unnerving to my wife. When i explained it to the representative at the door, she seemed as if this is a constant experience as her response was unimpressive. I can't in good faith recommend this establishment.

This “hotel” is filled with bed bugs and this was told to me directly from a gentlemen staying there after being out on probation. Filled with those needing a “room for rent” AVOID!! I have called the Department of Health on this place.

The room we were given looked okay at first. Once inside the bathroom door could not be shut completely. It also did not have a smoke detector or any fire safety. When using the bathroom bugs crawled out from behind the toilet and onto my leg

It was a good value and also included coffee and some breakfast items. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the property was well kept. I slept very well which was the most important thing I needed for my stay.

I checked in at about 9pm. I was surprised to find a toddler screaming at the door and playing with toys in the check in area. The woman who checked me in was in pajamas and did not have shoes on. I understand that she is a mother and has responsibilities but this was entirely inappropriate and unprofessional. When I came into my room, it had a dank smell of body odor or something of the like. The lampshade was broken and cracked, and the end table was also chipped. It looked like items found on the side of the road. I overall did not get a sense that the room was clean. The TV remote had batteries that were taped together without proper closure. The fridge was buzzing incredibly loud. The heating system was only running on high and finally I had to turn it off making the room very cold (59 degrees) when I woke up. I am truly unhappy with the experience from beginning to end. I have stayed here twice before and this was not my experience. I would like to be refunded for this stay.

Staff was friendly, check in process easy. Did not like the very thin walls I could hear the guest snoring next door to me. Plus it’s on the main road so if you are a light sleeper the noise could be a problem.

Greedy host, don't care about his guests. I ordered standard room over Expedia for $105 a night.Upon arrival the room given had a marijuana smell especially in the bathroom. I reached the host to switch the room. He said the room only left vacant is double that will cost me extra $50. I showed him Expedia rate for his motel double room that is the same as single. He doesn't care, said I don't know about Expedia rates. No help, had to stay in the smelly room with open windows. Never come back.

I stayed two nights. The lights outside are VERY bright all night long. Housekeeping did not clear my room altho they saw us leaving. No one speaks English to complain. Site says coffeepot in room. Nope. Room itself was fine but these are big problems and when I tried to discuss with the desk person he could not understand me. Gave me the managers card. I called and he only works early morning and late at night or weekends. I asked for a credit on my card of one night. Would not recommend and will not stay there again.

This is a wonderful mom and pop owned inn. Had a three night stay and everyday they came in and straightened up the room and replenished all the used towels. They had local coffee and wonderful bagels from a local bakery. Very pleased with our choice of places to stay. They made our trip that much better. Thank you

No one was at the front desk when I arrived midnight despite it claiming to have 24-hr front desk service. Had to get Expedia involved before someone let us in and get checked in. Front desk worker claimed that 24-hr service is not expected despite it saying so on Expedia and their own booklet in the room. Also, laundry services were not available onsite despite being listed on Expedia. Room appointments and finishing were alright for the price.

The owner's are incredibly nice people. This place is great to stay in on the North Shore. It is not expensive and it's central to so many vineyards and breweries and shopping.

Family- run traditional roadside motel with basic comforts and friendly helpful staff. Great base for exploring the North Fork. Appreciate the modest continental breakfast with bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and fresh coffee. Nice to be able to sit and eat outside the room at a table or in firepit area. Rooms have refrigerator, microwave, and hot water heater which are welcome amenities. Love the convenience of being able to park right outside the room. A few restaurants are within a ten minute walk in the village of Jamesport and plenty more within ten minutes drive. Will happily return

The Shorewood Inn is perfectly located to all the vineyards and restaurants in the area. Couldn't have picked a better location. This isn't a five stat resort but if you go in knowing that, you will enjoy your stay. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Its no frills but for the price, its perfect. The inn is family run and the staff are welcoming and helpful. They let us check in three hours early. We would stay here again.

Lovely old school motel with back yard feel - the windows all opened and had screens! Recent upfits in very good condition. AC works well for summer visit - tho not super quiet. Very short walk to convenience store and plaza with bagels, Dunkin’, post office, nails and pizza. Breakfast has the basics and is good. Excellent value, amenities & location!

I did book this in the winter and it seems like this is more of a summer attraction location. I came for a business stay and knew it was a budget location so i will take it easy. The room was very small. The bed very uncomfortable, and absurdly soft. The pics showed a few options for breakfast but there was actually nothing. Plenty of cable options so that was good and the water pressure in the shower was strong.

I was promised free continental breakfasts on both Expedia and the book in the motel room. The front office told me that was only in the summer when the rack-rate was 3 times as much. I was lied to!!

Shorewood Inn was an ease to check-in with. Their check-in staff was prepared. Had our key ready to go. Greeted us with a smile. It was a pleasure to stay there, and it was super convenient to go to any other locations around the Long Island area. The daily bagels and breakfast coffee and teas were also very accessible. Thank you.

The inn was located central to all family events. The price was right. The room was clean. The note book in the room stated they had coffee, bagels, muffins and yogurt in the office. However, the only thing in the office was so-so coffee. There was breakfast places within walking distance. The place is nothing fancy but it was fine for my needs.

This is a wonderful mom and pop owned inn. Had a three night stay and everyday they came in and straightened up the room and replenished all the used towels. They had local coffee and wonderful bagels from a local bakery. Very pleased with our choice of places to stay. They made our trip that much better. Thank you

Was in from City for a funeral & lodging offset my grief. Check-in was a breeze. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. The continental breakfast before check-out was a most delicious surprise - bagels, yogurts, brownies, muffins. Hosts are courteous, helpful, friendly & very hospitable. A most pleasant stay @a most reasonable cost😀

Our room was clean, well appointed and recently updated. The microwave and mini fridge made our stay much more convenient and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was good but the coffee was outstanding. Definitely my first choice when returning to Long Island in the future.

While initially I was struck that it is not an Inn by looks like a motel. HOWEVER, the he owners are so lovely and sweet. It is in walking distance of a nic restaurant as well as coffee etc. The grounds ar nicely maintained with pretty flowers and plants. And there are chickens!!! Mad sitting area in th back with furniture and lots of grass.

Motel is on a very busy street. My window is several feet from the street. Almost sleep on the street since only have first floor. Tons of cars pass through day and night. Can be waked up at any time.

Looks like a classic older motel… very pleasantly surprised with the updated, clean, and comfortable room. I would stay there again if I ever visit that area in the future.
