Craigvrack Hotel & Restaurant

First visit here & we'll definitely be back. Very comfortable room, new bathroom with great shower, everything we could have needed. Bar & dining areas refurb almost complete, totally amazing furnishings & decor. Staff are so friendly, they have such enthusiasm for their hotel, understandably so. Easy 10 min max walk into Pitlochry.

Staff excellent and restaurant very good. Nice atmosphere in bar. Rooms good - room slightly aged but very clean and in good condition, bathroom recently renovated and nice. Would definitely return.

The hotel is well situated just outside Pitlochry. The area is quiet. The parking is convenient. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit cramped for 2 people and 2 suitcases. Both room and bathroom are clean. It is fine for one night. Breakfast id fine. It takes 15 minutes or less to walk down to the town centre but 20 minutes to go back up to the hotel which is on a hill. There are lots of paying car parks in the town. The Cidsin Bistro is excellent and serves very well cooked dishes.

The hotel was excellent with comfortable beds and great shower. Breakfast was superb and plentiful with an array of choices. The restaurant served the most amazing Indian food that my wife and I have ever tasted. Variety of wine was great but the Gin and whisky choices was out of this world. Finally all the staff could not be more helpful and nothing was to much trouble. We will be back.

Rooms were basin but had everything. Service was excellent. Restaurant was fantastic. Bar was amazing- 100+ gins getting on for the same in whisky.

Lovely 2 night stay. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly. Lovely breakfast. Was a bit worried at first as our room was on the ground floor facing the car park and also very close to the bar but it was very quiet and we really liked that our room was away from all the other rooms. Would definitely recommend staying there.

We booked this hotel months in advance and when we arrived they gave us room #1. This is a wheelchair accessible room. We are both young and in perfect health. The room is right next to the hotel front entrance so if you want privacy you must keep the curtains closed at all times. Feels like you're in a dungeon. The carpets were terribly stained and the bathroom had what looked like black mold around the floor. All i can say is that the owners were very nice and the parking was great. There was no body wash or hair conditioner supplied. Thank God we always pack our own toiletries. The shower was awful because the temperature wouldn't regulate. Bottom line., ADVOID ROOM NUMBER 1 AT ALL COSTS!!!

Fabulous stay at the Craigvrack. Excellent facilities, staff very friendly and helpful and superb food. Would definitely recommend

Staff were exceptionally friendly. The gin bar was a really nice experience. The restaurant had the best tandoori chicken I’ve ever had.

We had a cheerful, warm welcome and easy check in. The room was small but spotless and the ensuite bathroom clean and everything worked. The shower was simple to operate and reasonably powerful. The breakfast was good, tasty and plentiful. This is a good, reasonably priced hotel and will be our first choice when we return to Pitlochry

My partner and I stayed here for one night after visiting The Enchanted Forest. Initial impressions were that the hotel was a short walk from the main street, amongst beautiful scenery and looked nice from outside. The young man who checked us in was very pleasant and efficient. Our room was very small and extremely hot. We had to turn the radiator right down and open the window (only one opens). There were lots of paint splodges and poor finishing everywhere and the dark grey paint made the room feel very enclosed. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were spotless but the pillows were flat - need replaced. The tea tray was good, cups etc were clean but one of the milks (even though it was long life) was off and i couldnt drink the tea. It was too late to call reception to get replacements. We slept well until 7am when another guest allowed her children to make excessive noise in the hallway. The bathroom was vile. Despite a spotlessly clean toilet and sink, the windows were covered in black mould which is unsightly, unhygienic and dangerous. The top of the shower frame was filthy and the bath mat obviously hadnt been changed since the last guest, as it was covered in dirty marks. We were asked at check in what time we wanted breakfast - we chose 9am and appeared at the restaurant at 0855 for our food. We finally got our meal at 0950 after waiting 20 mins to place our order, and it wasn't great. Poor quality and terrible timing. We won't be back and wouldn't recommend.

So upon arrival, the room still was not avaliable 1/2 hr prior to check in time,16:00. Seemed as though the entire premises didnt open until 16:00. Breakfast may have been included but we were not greeted and advised where to seat ourselves. When staff approached us we were told we sat at the wrong table and no mention was made of ordering a hotmeal breakfast, leading us to believe it was cold cereals and toast. Then after sitting for 20mins eating toast and yogurt we were informed by same staff member that a hot "Scottish breakfast" was available. Service industry is simple, what the challenge is communication skills! The carpets definitely need changing!

It was a pleasant stay. There were some issues like no fridge or water in the rooms, floor was not clean. Overall good experience, service was good.

My parents had a lovely stay at the hotel. I had booked for my Mum's 70th birthday. They found the hotel staff very welcoming and very accommodating. The room was very comfortable and the cleanliness was of a very high standard throughout the hotel. They had a lovely evening meal as well as a nice breakfast. Thank you for making their stay enjoyable and they would definitely like to come again.

Clean and average concussion, but the downstairs room shares a wall with the kitchen / crockery area so it's very noisy.

Staff lovely very knowledgeable about food and helped with choices. Breakfast was equally tasty, freshly cooked and piping hot. Would definitely like to stay here again. Thanks

Lovely restaurant Unfortunately we had a room above the kitchen so there was a lot of bumping and banging

The property was better than expected and the views from room 6 were fantastic.

A excellent stay, the staff were very polite and friendly, nothing was too much. The even offered to take our luggage to our room, which was very clean with all the toiletries. Food excellent. We will definitely stay again. highly recommend. Thank you.

So upon arrival, the room still was not avaliable 1/2 hr prior to check in time,16:00. Seemed as though the entire premises didnt open until 16:00. Breakfast may have been included but we were not greeted and advised where to seat ourselves. When staff approached us we were told we sat at the wrong table and no mention was made of ordering a hotmeal breakfast, leading us to believe it was cold cereals and toast. Then after sitting for 20mins eating toast and yogurt we were informed by same staff member that a hot "Scottish breakfast" was available. Service industry is simple, what the challenge is communication skills! The carpets definitely need changing!

Really happy with the property but it was the friendly, helpful staff that made it great. Full breakfast was a bonus.

Friendly and efficient staff. Excellent Indian restaurant. Ideal location just out of town so quiet neighbourhood but short walk into the centre. Great views across open country to Ben Vrackie.

We family of four stayed for one night and found the staff was very helpful. We also had dinner, and the Indian food is easily among one of the best in Scotland and service was excellent. Breakfast was well-prepared and delicious. I highly recommend this place for both accommodation and dining, with all major attractions located close to the Craigvrack hotel & hotel.

Everything was great!! The staff was super friendly. The rooms were clean and tidy. The shower was nice and hot. Super walkable which was wonderful. Would definitely come back again!

After a long day of train delays and driving, we arrived late. Shae (I hope I got the spelling correct), greeted us and was able to let us order dinner after the kitchen was closed. It was the best curry we've ever had! Incredibly gracious. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and the hotel is just a 5 minute walk to the town. Great location.

Was just a last minute booking on my long way home, but it turned out to be the best night of my two weeks in Scotland. My suitcase was carried upstairs by the young man who welcomed me in reception and explained about the restaurant and breakfast times. I arranged my bookings at both. Very impressed with both meals. Breakfast was not all self serve but freshly cooked as per my order. Room was superb with every attention to detail supplied.
