Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Lexington North

Room was worth the price. The gym was not well ventilated or cooled. The pool seemed overly chlorinated. It was too hot in that room and the chemicals hurt your eyes to even be in there.

I have expectation much higher as other Fairfield Inn’s has.. but not this one. 1. Strong smoke smell in the bathroom. Complaining several times about that to property manager. They ignored those requests. 2. Rooms has smell of mold. Switched 2 rooms but found less smelling but still has smell. 3. Fitness room air conditioner not working, 85 degrees on thermostat. 4. Pool small indoor pool and spa. Overcrowded always. About 20 people at the pool most of the time. 5. Extra blankets are with a bunch of hair and not looking nice to use. 6. Couch at the room looks like from cheap motel, dirty, stain marks, not feeling clean to seat.

Why does the hotel charge $5.30 for parking? There is no garage, no parking attendants, parking is an open lot. This does not seem like a normal charge for this kind of hotel. If you need the $5.30 add it to the room charge. Separating out this charge is simply an irritation.

Who ever heard of paid parking at a Fairfield. Yes it is on the website. At the very end of the listing. Shame on you!

Check in was easy. Construction on main level made things a bit uneasy. Elevators need maintenance. So scary. Nice quiet and safe are. Not a lot of food options. Just McDonald's and a cracker barrel which was below standards. Parking on 2 nights was a nightmare. A lot of horse trailers taking up multiple parking spaces leaving no room for cars. Breakfast was nice. Would like to see 2% white milk option and not just chocolate milk. Will stay again.

The lobby versus the room is night and date. Loud grinding drainage sounds the entire 20 hours there. I was told pool was closed for reno, after I'd already checked in. Then I see people getting in the pool a few hours later. Not Fairfield Inn/Marriott standards.

Did NOT like parking charge! No one mentioned that!

Hotel is good for the price but not great. While we were here the pool/spa was going under renovations so it was closed. Washing machine was broken and the a/c in the gym was not working. A/C is noisy and beds are not comfortable. Room needs to be repainted. We are only here for one night so it’ll do.

The room smelled like dog pee very strong and the bathroom was rusty and peeling wallpaper. The ac didn’t work well either.

Every was great clean they replaced and refreshed room daily

There was a big stain on the wall and ceiling in our room from water damage. Needs to be taken care of, it was tacky! Everything else was excellent.

Checked in on June 21st and checked out just a few hours later after discovering BEDBUGS in our room. When I notified the staff, I was told there were no other rooms available! I had to find another hotel. They provided garbage bags for our belongings and contact information for the GM, who could only be reached on Monday since it was the weekend. While the staff on duty were kind, the manager completely ignored repeated communication from both me and Expedia booking site. When someone finally responded, they claimed I never informed them I was checking out early—despite the fact that I reported bedbugs. Why would anyone stay after that? Thankfully, when checking out I requested a checkout receipt, which showed same-day check-in and check-out! I provided photo evidence of the infestation. The refund was only approved after we escalated this issue and I provided receipts/pictures! I understand that these things can happen when traveling, but the situation could’ve been handled far more professionally. I won’t book here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The beds were comfortable. The room was small for 4 people, even just for an overnight. The breakfast was well stocked and offered a good variety. The bathroom had broken tile and black markings resembling mold. As I went to checkout, my husband used the bathroom in the lobby. The wallpaper was half off next to the toilet. There were several dead roaches in the hallway. Did not see any in the rooms or food area.

Pool and hot tub were revolting. Our room was missing a mattress, when we called the front desk, we were put on hold and when he came back, he offered a rollaway bed. When it arrived, the mattress looked as though a rodent had been chewing through it, my daughter ended up sleeping on the floor wrapped in her personal blanket instead. The pillows smelled awful, we had to hide them in the closet so we could sleep. The elevator reeked of cigarette smoke. The shower had great water pressure, but the shampoo was just water in the container and there was no body wash. Tried to call front desk, no response. If I could have given zero stars, I would have!

There was one good thing about this hotel: proximity to Kentucky Horse Park. The bad: -we woke up to bed bugs. One one me and one crawling on the sheets above my kids. We were told manager would call us. Still haven’t heard from them and it’s been almost a week. They did cancel our second night. -the water is very hard. The pool is encrusted with minerals. Two of my kids scraped themselves on it. Seems like a water softener or purification on the pool system would be good. -the waffle batter was not really mixed. Our kids’ favorite part of staying in a hotel is making their own waffles. This was a flop.

The hotel was dirty. Our shower was dirty with hair and dirt on the walls. Wallpaper falling off the walls in bathroom.carpet dirty. Hall carpets very dirty and elevator dirty. The hotel is nice but needs to be cleaned. Very sad

I was put in the handicap room and the air conditioner was struggling and making loud noise so as to interfere with talking and TV watching.

The mattresses really need to be replaced. There was a sink hole in the middle, it was lumpy and uncomfortable. The room was really small and outdated.

Really nice hotel. Bed was comfortable. Only complaint is the heater/AC wall unit did not work. Thermostat controlled temp in room. Me and my wife have a hard time sleeping in complete silence so always like having a fan as white noise so that was a down side. Also there was a cup we found behind the nightstand from a previous occupant. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Roomwith king size bed is small but hotel is clean.

I will admit I’m somewhat of a hotel snob and I expect more out of Marriott locations. On the booking site it said each room had a sofa bed. They do not if it’s two queens. That was a problem traveling with two teenage boys who don’t wanna share a bed with their mother. Additionally, for those who travel for business, it was very hard to find places to plug things in and some of the outlets were so loose the plugs would fall out of them. For a Marriott room the bed was very uncomfortable. Something I would’ve expected in less superior hotel chain. The staff was very nice and they did try to make things better for us as far as putting us in a King with the sofa bed. That helped. The place was clean. The breakfast was OK just as all continental breakfast’s are but this is not a place I would stay at again. The lights in the room flickered one of the tables had a broken leg. There was not enough place at the desk to plug in all of my work, computer stuff and charge phones after a long trip. However, it’s not a trashy place. I had no fear of bedbugs. It was kept clean. So for the average Joe, who is not a hotel snob And doesn’t think Marriott should have a better Facility, it’s a decent place to stay. There was also nothing around it except a gas station and a McDonald’s. It was directly off the expressway, so that helped.

Ceiling started leaking over our pillows at midnight. Jose the night desk clerk was great and relocated us to another room on the same floor to sleep. This was a huge inconvenience because we were both asleep when the leak began dripping. Our nights sleep was compromised. The breakfast was below Marriott's standards.

Beds were comfortable, room was quiet and functional. The main drawback was there was a bright parking lot light that shined in the room and kept it pretty light all night. There were no drapes to pull closed to darken the room for sleeping.

We had a room with a pull out sofa. I didn’t expect the sofa mattress to be as bad as it was. Also, the parking lot light shone directly in the window by the sofa with no way of closing the curtain to block light. Terrible night’s sleep.

Did check in online stated we’d arrive around 6 pm didn’t get the text that our room was ready till 7:30pm once we arrived at hotel one staff member at desk took 35 minutes to get through the line to get room keys. So basically we were settled in our room at 8:30pm. Never did the staff member at the desk call for a managers help. Will never stay in this hotel chain again if I can help it

Front desk service McKayla was incredible, we had a small issue with the room and she quickly resolved it.

We were traveling with family and thought we had request a suite or a room with a pull out bed. Makayla (spelling ?). And her staff went out of their way to get us in a room that would accommodate us. Would stay here again!

The stay was fine. The problem was the front desk. They charged my card, even though I had already purchased my stay through Hotels.com. I was told it would be resolved but the charge still went through on my card. I am still waiting for a resolution. This happened on June 7 and today is June 10 and I am still out of money. The hotel was decent but this put a sour taste in my mouth. And the lack of urgency to get my money back, is an issue.

The front desk personnel were very friendly. We needed a couple items for our room and they took care of it very quickly. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and had a few different items every day.

We checked in late in the evening and there was a large group of teens gathered in the lobby/buffet area. They were not misbehaving but the large number caused it to be very noisy. The desk clerk informed us that since the only king room meeting our reservation type was immediately above the lobby, she was upgrading us to a king suite in order to get us on the 5th floor and away from the noise. Definitely went the extra step to make sure we had the best experience. I have always had a good experience at Fairfield Inn and Suites and will always choose them over other hotels in the area whenever possible.

My stay at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Lexington was really great. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and made sure everything was cool for me. My room was comfy and clean, too. I would definitely stay here again.

This was what customer service is supposed to be! They had a power outage and were prepared to do checkin “old school”. When the time came to get our luggage to the 2nd floor, four staff members pitched in, grabbed our bags and everyone got our things upstairs in one trip! I really want to commend Josh, Erin, JimBob and Mikayla (hope I spelled these right) for jumping into action. THIS is a team that hits it out of the park!

Checked in and unlocked our room only to find someone already in it so back to front desk for try two. Then no bedding for the pull-out bed so back to front desk again. Josh was helpful but not what we needed after a long day of travel

They over charged me, I called them at least 10 times, I never received my refund back.

Nice location

I like that it is right off of I75, exit 115 in Lexington KY. It makes it convenient to get to the airport, Keeneland, Legends ball field, downtown. It is a beautiful property and well maintained. Fairfield Inn at this exit never disappoints.

SO CONVENIENT. Close to UK Med Center. Cracker Barrel IN the parking lot. Staff-- incredibly helpful and the breakfast buffet was well above average.

The staff are super friendly. They was always there when I needed help. The location is super convenient. Stayed here for BreyerFest.

Great place for staying for Breyerfest, close to the horse park and on and off

Easy access to 75. Clean and comfortable. 10 minute ride to downtown shops, restaurants and bars. Great locale for a highway stop.

Good area and convenient to the main roads in the area if you want to go to places like Keeneland or nearby bourbon distilleries. Gas station nearby as well as some fast food options (McDonalds on the same road), and easy to get to downtown Lexington as well.

Property is located near other venues such as Cracker Barrel.

Quiet and clean. Location is good.

This is a great hotel. Clean, quiet, great staff. Good breakfast, lots of gluten-free options. Would come again.

Nice hotel, very nice people at the front desk. They had a pool and hot tub, nice but heavily chlorinated and a bit small. Delicious breakfast, even had quiche.

My comments will be centered around the breakfast. I thought the food was below par compared to other hotels. I’ve stayed at. The scrambled eggs taste like they were made from powdered eggs. Hard boiled eggs had a funky odor to them. The rest of the food provided was of medium to good quality. I’m sure they’re looking too save money in this regard but my feeling is that this is a bad place to do it. Upgrade the quality and your reviews will be much better.

Although the room was clean, parking was easy, staff was pleasant that are a few things that could have been better. Definitely should invest in new beds, ours was well worn and uncomfortable and the breakfast could be improved. The toaster wasn't working correctly, only toasted 1 sided of the bread (and that was burnt, not toasted). The wifi wasn't working for about half out stay as well.

This was one of the only hotels left with the extra room / pullbiut sofa bed close to where we needed to be. The pull out had a stained mattress, which was unexceptable to me. The manager did get it changed, but, i had to chase towels and toilet paper. The pool area had left over food on one of the tables that sat there for 2 plus days. Had to ask for more milk at breakfast as well as bagels. Housekeeping needs improvement and the breakfast staff did not replenish unless asked. Food was not the best quality either. Eggs were watery oatmeal was very thin.. I will try not to stay there again unless stuck in a bind.

Breakfast was disappointing. Juice machine was broken. No water available no salt and pepper.

The breakfast options didn’t have some healthy options like yogurt and banana and other fruit. Too many carb options.

Great sleep.. Hot breakfast.
