Motel 6-Barkeyville, PA

For being a Motel 6 it wasnt that bad. The room was clean but I found a couple long hairs in my bed when I pulled the covers back. The cleaning people came everyday to change the trash and change my towels. It was only me staying and I only was in the room to sleep so I did not get it dirty. The facility is paving the parking lot and it was very challenging to park a truck and maneuver around the cars. You could not see the rope at night in the farther parking lot near the gravel. I also did not enjoy the smoke smell in the hallway.

Clean. No frills. Friendly service. Easy check in and out.

CLEAN, OPEN, EASY PARKING, WONDERFUL STAFF

5 Stars for cleanliness, friendliness, value. We selected a hot tub room. About $60 more per night than the standard king room, but with the hot tub and twice as large. Everything clean, fully functional, plenty of towels. Coffee was fresh, warm and promptly refilled when it ran low. Check in and out process was seamless and pleasant. Like that the hotel was pet friendly. Negative: hallway reaked of cigarette smoke badly, although not in the room.

Booked a hot tub room which was a great experience. Hot tub had a bit too much chlorine tho. Some features were missing tho like breakfast & the vending machines. Gas station right across the road had a variety of food options tho which was a great touch!

Pleasant, professional welcome. Room clean with fake wood floors. I did not feel like that I had to wear slippers. Sink had new faucet, tub drain worn but very clean,. Well done. Hall and outside had cameras. Good and bad all at same time. Away from interstate a little. So very little traffic noise. Parking a little rough looking. But perfectly acceptable. Good balance value to rest provided. Thank you

Hotel was very clean. It looks like it’s freshly remodeled. I had two small dogs and the dogs are free. They provided dog bags and a good place to walk the dogs. Only coffee was provided in the morning but that was fine. There are a couple nearby, fast food, restaurants which took care of that.

Location is great. Right off Route 80. Hardee's is right next door and BK across the street. A gas station is within 1/2 mile as well. Unfortunately the toilet seat was not cleaned properly which made me feel unsure about the rest of the room but overall not too bad.

One of the cleanest hotels I have visited. Staff all friendly and helpful, common hallway a bit smoky but non smoking rooms were great no odor. Highly recommend!

Cleanest Motel 6 I've ever seen. Staff was friendly, beds were comfy and clean, AC worked well, and nice little dog relief area outside.

This is a budget motel but the cleanliness, kindness, comfort were great. We slept well and got rested for the next day.

comforter had cigarette burn holes in it, but the place was otherwise very clean, so good enough for me!

I booked two rooms, one for myself and one for my brother and his wife. We checked in with no issues and went up to our rooms. My key card would not work so my boyfriend went to get it reprogrammed however my bro and sister-in-law entered their room. Two minutes later, my bro told me to come in and showed me a cockroach in the bathroom. I went right downstairs and told the man at the front desk. He came up and took a picture of it. We then went back to the front desk. I told him I would not be staying there and wanted my money back. He kept trying to offer another room but I told him, if there is one cockroach, there are more. He kept trying to offer other rooms not wanting to give us our money back. I told him to get the Manager. A woman then came out who was extremely rude. She told us she had worked 15hrs & didn’t want to deal with us. I told her to refund our money and we’d be on our way. She was rude, verbally abusive and accusatory. When other guests came in the lobby, she told them we were trying to attack them, she also accused us of bringing the cockroach!! The man started to lie as well and refused to show the picture of the cockroach he took. I contacted Expedia but they said they needed the hotels permission to refund us. They tried calling, I told the woman and she refused to answer the telephone. She also kicked us out of the hotel and threatened to call the police. We left but I called the police when they arrived they said they wouldn’t stay there! HORRIBLE!

Arrived late at night. Staff welcoming and checked us in quickly. Room was spotless and just what we needed after a long drive. Will be on the road again early in the morning

Not very clean,the bed was ok but the chair to sit in was terrible and dirtu and greasy from the filth

The room was clean and comfortable. My 2 complaints were the lack of bathroom counter space and the shower head. The lack of flow once I pulled the diverter, makes me think it was a water saving unit.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The TV in one room did not work. The bedspread was full of burn holes. The heater in one room was extremely noisy.

Containers and old brake shoes from the garage in our view of a parking lot behind a garage. The noise problem was inside the hotel. We could hear dogs barking and conversations through the walls late into the night.

The property has potential, it is a good size and affordable. The room was large with nice pet friendly flooring. The furnishings were sparse, one small arm chair which looked RV sized, no table for eating at, lots of empty space around the bed but basically you had to spend your time on the bed. The biggest problem we had was the plumbing, the toilet wouldn't flush and the sink wouldn't drain. When we informed front desk, the lady asked what we would like her to do about it, then finally offered us a plunger to see if we could fix the problem. Plumbing was not good the whole stay (only 1 night) and the water only kind of fell out of the shower, very little pressure.

It was very nice room but…. Only 2 very small bars of soap Pro’s clean affordable WiFi Con’s what it DOES NOT have, shampoo, conditioners, tissues, iron and board, luggage rack, coffeemaker in room, minimal pillows, blow dryer, no shears on window just heavy curtains no extra blanket

Overall, the stay was good. There were smokers in other rooms, so the smell traveled a bit. The air conditioner did tend to rattle obnoxiously at times. This stay was a quick overnight as part of a longer trip.

I would not trust the reviews. We read them and decided to stay here. From 1:30-3:00am the room right next to ours had a domestic dispute. I called the front desk and no one answered. Finally fell back asleep at 4:30 and was awakened at 5:50 with more of the same. This time when I called the front desk, they came to see, but since the argument stopped, they said there wasn’t anything they can do. As I checked out an hour later, the front desk asked how my stay was and I said, okay other than no sleep! He replied that I must be mistaken because it is a single male that had that room next to ours. I told him that he must have had an unexpected guest last night! When I am told that I am wrong and that the staff isn’t going to do anything and when they won’t even bother to answer the front desk phone….I know exactly what I heard! Terrible service! I will never stay here again and if I were you, you shouldn’t either!!

Traveled with my pup and stayed 2 nights. Staff were so sweet and helpful. Room was clean, water was hot and good pressure. Coffee service was fresh with fixings. Convenient location. Definitely going on my "return to" list if I'm in the area. Recommend!

Very nice budget hotel. I was greeted by a friendly front desk attendant named Jen. My room was clean and orderly and my stay was very quiet.

The accommodations were good for a motel. Very Clean. Young lady at the front was very friendly, intelligent and accommodating. We had to stay due to a flat tire and had to wait till morning that the tire shop was open. We were 4 hours from home. Ahe had such a warming personality made the night just a little better.

They are always amazing and go out of their way to ensure our stay is great. We were able to check in early after a 13hr drive up from FL. We truly will not stay any place else.

Always staying at this hotel when I visit PA. Great location and friendly staff.

The price for the night was excellent, the room was very clean and the front desk person was friendly, interactive and informative. The draw back was....extremely limited dining. It was more of a truck stop area. Not bad but very little to see.

Close to freeway to get to where we are going for family trip. Nice place to stay and comfortable area.

Was on work related business and this was the closest place to where I was working out of. It was clean, staff was super friendly, room was clean and in very good order. The morning coffee was some of the best I've ever had as well. The staff always took the time to say howdy and ask if there was anything that I needed, which when you are a couple hundred miles away from home always makes one feel welcome. The place is also very convenient to food, gas, and Interstate 80.

It was walking distance to a convenience store and fast food restaurant. Easy on and off the interstate.

This property is just dated with not much seen in maintenance. The caulking around the tub was cracked or missing and the dings and stains on the painted walls look like they have not been touched up in a few years. There isn't much else at this exist so for me the choice to stay here was only about location.

This Motel 6 in Barkeyville was a good value. It was clean and comfortable. Only offers terrible coffee in the morning. Staff was friendly. You get what you pay. Good enough for overnight stay during a long road trip.

Very clean and well kept. Close to major highway with a couple of choices for fast food and a diner. For a quick one night stay it’s ideal especially for the price. I will use this Motel 6 again when I’m in PA.

Stayed 1 night. Great for what we needed for the day. Serve coffee in the morning and thats all. Only complaint is you can hear the other doors shutting and people talking when we were going to bed so had to leave the TV on
