Starting from September 1,2025, Osaka Prefecture will adjust the accommodation tax rate. For accommodation fees less than 5,000 yen per person per night: exemption from accommodation tax; 5,000 yen or more but less than 15,000 yen: 200 yen per person per night; 15,000 yen or more but less than 20,000 yen: 400 yen per person per night; 20,000 yen or more: 500 yen per person per night. This tax will be directly collected from travelers by accommodation facilities at check-in, and travelers are advised to prepare Japanese yen cash for payment.
