From the moment we reserved a room to our check out the service was impeccable. The staff and the restaurant personnel treated us with respect and compassion. The room beyond what you would expect from an older facility. The food was excellent and so was the beer from the brewery.

Liked everything as soon as I walked in. Staff is wonderful, and knowlegable. Has on on-site bar, many rooms for sitting confortably in and a great front porch. Beautiful and charming. Food is wonderful and all staff we encountered were attentive and helpful. Rooms are gorgeous, and confortable, but no elevator to second floor, which wasn't a concern for us, but FYI.

I was told to stay here by a friend and it did not disappoint. Updated rooms with comfortable beds. I will recommend to everyone if you’re looking to stay in the Upper Valley. It’s a bonus that they’re pet friendly.

I adored the Norwich Inn. The room was comfortable and charming and the staff was warm, friendly and helpful. I stayed 3 nights and rode out a big April 2024 snowstorm at the Inn, and loved it. The breakfast/dining area is lovely, and siting by the fire with a glass of wine at the end of the day was a highlight. Plus, parking was a snap. Definitely my go-to spot when I'm in town for work. And, a 5-min ride from the delicious King Arthur Baking for sandwiches and treats. Thank you Norwich Inn!

Very nice little place, will gladly stop there again! The staff were super helpful and nice. The free bus route stop is right in front of the store next door, and it takes you right to Dartmouth. The bar was super cozy and bartender was very helpful and fun to interact with. It was a great experience all around and can't wait to stop again!

The staff at this property is excellent, but overall it’s just plain outdated and dreary. Our room looked nothing like the pictures and had drab wallpaper and dark and dingy carpeting. Quaint and charming doesn’t have to be dark and dreary. If this property would put money into a renovation budget of the main building’s rooms, it would’ve been an excellent stay. It’s not a room you’d want to spend any time in, unfortunately. This is sad because it was a clean room and the staff was wonderful, but just unfortunately needs to be redone.

Our room was comfortable and clean. There was a gas fireplace that was cheery and attractive. The bathroom was up to date and well maintained. There is a restaurant on the property but we had other dining plans and so didn't take advantage of this service. There aren't other nearby dining choices we could find, but the staff gave us a list of local restaurants with phone numbers.

We loved our stay at the Norwich Inn! The restaurant was excellent, just as we had remembered it from our first date in 2019. A very historic and elegant property, with very well maintained rooms. The towel warmer in our bathroom and the fireplace added much warmth to our stay. The breakfast was simple and convenient. The inn is very convenient to Hanover, NH. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

I booked the Norwich Inn because it was the only nearby option available while dropping my kiddo off at Dartmouth, and I honestly wasn’t expecting much beyond convenience. I ended up being pleasantly surprised. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the excellent salmon dinner I had on the outdoor patio, every interaction with the staff was outstanding. The room itself was charming and cozy in the way an older inn should be. While the shower could use some updating, the bed was comfortable and, most importantly, the room was quiet. I slept well and woke rested for a long drive home the next morning. I’ll definitely be returning to the Norwich Inn—it may end up being the place I stay whenever I’m in the area.

The Norwich Inn is super charming. I knew it would be historic and it is! That comes along with creaky floors and classic bathrooms, but I had the best sleep of my life there. Great pub. Quiet rooms in the most charming small Vermont town. Modern where you need it to be: antique where there’s a “wow” factor. Moose head. Beautiful woodwork. Tiny check in desk with marble top. Brass bell to ring if no one’s there. Sweet out door sitting areas. Nice lobby. Good Wi-Fi.

The only reason I say that the comfort was poor is because there was some piece of the building that was loose and when the wind blew it banged against the side of the building super loudly and it woke us up all throughout the night. We were both exhausted and really needed a good night sleep, and we barely slept a wink. When we told the front desk she apologized but didn't offer any kind of compensation. Love the rooms, service, pub, beer, etc., I just wish the front desk lady on Sunday offered us some form of a credit or compensation. We didn't want to ask for anything, just let them know that they should let their maintenance person know to take a look at the building around the exterior of room 37. Everything else was great though.

This was an excellent trip. Norwich is a beautiful New England town and the Norwich Inn is a nice New England Inn. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I am looking forward to staying here again in the future.
