The view from the pool area is amazing. The spa didn’t work great , the fire pits did not work with three of them on the property. We stayed in the Havana section and we could hear our neighbor snoring and some arguing before the snoring kept us awake. We paid a resort fee but was not worth it because we didn’t get to enjoy all the amenities that we paid for. They did allow us to check in early which we appreciated.

The check in was OK, The front desk clerk is apparently required to sternly lay out the rules and regs which includes explaining that visiting guests are required to check in at the front desk and be charged a $50. fee per guest per day to use the pool and beach and no coolers are aloud at the beach or pool. The elevator was broken so we had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of stairs (no discount was offered for the inconvenience), so we had yo keep going up and down 3 flights of stairs from the beach or pool to our room every time we wanted something to drink (no coolers allowed at the beach).The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable however, I'm 5'7" and I found the shower stall very cramped even for me. I will say that the view from our room and balcony made up for everything with spectacular sunsets and sunrises. Ironically, we saw the elevator repair company arriving as we were checking out.

We love the Glunz Ocean Beach Hotel because it is a family owned resort that is family friendly and right on its own private beach. While we were there the water was clean and clear. The views were beautiful. There are two clean and well maintained pools as well as kayaks and bicycles for use of patrons. We also enjoyed the convenience of Havana Jacks restaurant and tiki bar right next door.

Was very windy all week but the pool was amazing, clean, warm, not crowded. Loved that you could hear the live music next to the pool coming from Havana Jack's. Room was under construction so we received an upgrade, wow! thanks so much! Great to be able to cook some meals or go out, nice views. Wish there were more options on the restaurant menu but the ambiance was super! We had a great time!

Waterproof thick plush pads For a place I would say built 50+ yrs ago they have renovated and kept it very nice Very Quiet a/c split system , Keurig coffee maker in room with K cups and creamer Large quantity of shower necessities Ample supply of plush towels Comfortable beds with good pillows When we visit the keys again this would be our first choice, we stayed late June 3- nights

We stayed at this beautiful resort for three nights and so glad we did. This resort had its own private beach. Access to free bikes, kayaks, and paddle boards for free. The beach had plenty of chairs, loungers, and umbrellas for free use. 20 feet away was a beautiful restaurant named Havana Jacks with plenty of food for lunch and dinner. It also had a tiki bar with lots of drink options. The views at both the hotel and restaurant were amazing. Our room was 302 on the third floor with a beautiful view of the ocean, beach, and pool. There are two chairs and a table outside of our room that we used often. Our room was spacious enough for us two. It was air conditioned with a fan as well. The front desk crew was always very helpful. The gym had plenty of equipment to get in a great workout (I used it twice). This resort was positioned halfway down the keys to which we thought was perfectly placed between everything. The key of Marathon has every amenity or store you need.

We liked the comfortable lounge chair, & the late night next to the water access. Rooms & pool need major upgrade/upkeep. From Iguana pool on the ground, rusty fence, to excessive dust in the ceiling fan, noticeable hand prints on the shower, in a very small space. Next door hot wings are amazing- Gor $300 a night I’d expected nicer- the pictures looked way better than reality.

The WIFI is terrible and is almost non-existent in the hotel, so don't expect to get any work done if you must work. The room had numerous issues and needed to be cleaned better. It was musty smelling and needed better hygiene. The access to the beach and pool made this place good, and the staff was excellent throughout the stay.

We had a great stay. The staff was friendly and the pools were lovely. The room was clean and comfortable as well. We liked the availability of kayaks, bikes, and paddleboards, too, though we didn't get a chance to use them. Nice stay at Glunz! The staff were incredibly nice and friendly. It's an older property but clean and well kept. It was nice being right on the beach with a convenient outdoor shower so we could switch easily between the beach and the pool.

This is a great spot! We stayed for two nights and loved the location. We picked it because we wanted to stay on the water but not in Key West, but close enough to spend the day in Key West. It was clean and comfortable. We were on the top floor and could hear the AC unit turn on at night when everything was quiet. That was my only complaint. Staff was wonderful. Havan Jacks next door is great for dinner. Breakfast was off site at Island Fish Market. We will definitely recommend and stay again!

We stayed in villa 8, and from the living room, we stepped out onto a patio and down three steps to the pool. We could walk across the pool area and out a gate to the beach. The villa was large, clean, comfortable and bright with lots of windows. There are kayaks, paddleboards and bicycles available. My only suggestion would be to leave some things previous visitors have left behind there - like detergent, sunscreen, games, etc.

Misleading description. This isn’t a hotel or a resort. It’s an old motel with small dated rooms. Rooms were clean but very small and need updating/upgrading. Beds weren’t comfortable. Could hear people above us walking around on squeaky floors all night. Pool and bar were crowded with all the people who lived in the neighborhood. Small rocky beach area unsuitable for swimming. Nothing else here to justify the $38 resort fee charged. This is an overpriced MOTEL I don’t recommend.

This is an excellent place to be on the Florida Keys. The location right at the beach is perfect, the restaurant and bar connected is a great place. If at all, the only thing to mention as a minus is that the room walls are pretty thin. We had very noisy neighbors, which kept us up at night. But the place is definitely recommendable.

We were there to celebrate my daughter’s 16th bday and the place didn’t disappoint us. They upgrade us to ocean front view and it was totally breathtaking. They also put an effort to decorate our room for her birthday and we really appreciate it. The place was so clean. They have their own private beach with white sand and the pool is next to the ocean. They offer free paddle boarding, kayaking and bikes. A lot of nearby restaurants, shops and grocery store is a plus. We also enjoy the sunset at a nearby park. All the staff are very friendly. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and will come back in the future. Thank you Glunz family for a very unforgettable amazing experienced.

Great Staff Savanna was very helpful when we had an issue. Our maintenance person was very good also. He had a can do attitude. Great ocean view! The restaurant Havana Jacks at the property has good food, and fun entertainment.

On arrival we had an issue with the room, this was swiftly dealt with and we were offered a larger room which we gratefully accepted. The hotel was clean and well kept. The staff were friendly and attentive. Next door is a fantastic bar and restaurant serving great food and drink and playing live music…..very chilled after a day in the sun. We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

We love Key Colony and this hotel has private beach and pool with comfortable beach chairs. Tiki bar next door is beautiful. Front desk personnel are great. Coffee, ref and microwave in room with comfortable bed, pillows and plenty of new towels. Ceiling fan and AC are quiet. Area is quiet and safe but you should never miss sunsets at Sunset Park with organized local residents. Wonderful experience with friendly group. Only one negative point is the coffee shop next door to this hotel with one young, unenthusiastic employee. Took her 30 minutes for Avocado toast and egg bacon breakfast sandwich for my wife and I.....only customers at 9am.

Love this location! The small beach and pool are perfect for relaxing. The restaurant next door has great happy hour and live music. Food is average. We greatly enjoyed the cleanliness of the room and the location to the beach was the best I’ve ever stayed at. There were a few parts of the location that needed basic upgrades like a fresh coat of paint to a few outdoor areas. The water pressure was very weak in the shower, however the cleanliness of the room and the upgrades to the kitchen area made our stay amazing. The restaurant connected with the location was the worst part of our trip. Both nights we went for dinner the food was either way over cooked and dry or barely cooked. If you go for drinks though, their selection was fantastic and the music was a delight.

The restaurant and tiki bar at the pool was super great the bar tenders spot on. We planned on going to many other places but the live entertainment and food just made it hard to leave. Will definatly return soon

Property is clean and great chill atmosphere. Tiki bar/restaurant is pretty much attached so great for a quick snack or drink. Cute little sandy beach and easy drive to all the things.
