room was clean and nice. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Disappointed the hot tub was not operating, understood it was, and was a big reason we chose that place. But it was a nice hotel and experience.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at cathedral valley inn! Lei and Nick were both extremely nice and helpful and made us feel very comfortable. The rooms were clean and all though it was full at night time, everything was very quiet and peaceful. In the day all the other guests were gone and we had the whole pool to ourselves, and both nights got to enjoy a soak in the hot tub alone. The closest food is in Hanksville, a small drive, but Duke's slick rock grill was recommended and so good we ate there 3 times. Breakfast at inn was simple, but sufficient. Waffles were good! We really really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return! 10/10

Great hotel and wonderful front desk staff! This hotel is the only thing around, so the night sky viewing was a bonus! It is closer to Hanksville than Torrey. The address on here said Torrey, but that was not the case. Dakota at the front desk was friendly and very helpful with our plans in the area. Breakfast was just enough to get us on the road. We also used the laundry and it worked well.

We were just passing through for the night and booked here since we couldn't find anything in Hanksville. The place was clean and the breakfast okay though basic (cold cereal, bagels, waffles). I was impressed that they have now installed two EV charges. Good for them. One word of caution for guests. There isn't much else in Cainesville. In particular we didn't see any restaurants, so I am glad we stopped to eat at Duke's Place in Hanksville enroute. I would do a special callout to the staff, would were very friendly and offered lots of suggestions for hikes we might consider.

Nice manager. Remote location. No restaurants near by. Nearest food and groceries is 20 miles in Hanksville. Great access to the park. Washer and dryer available on site. We did not try the pool or hot tub, but clean. Good waffles for breakfast. Good water pressure and hot water for showers . Overall, remote but nice

Excellent for proximity to Capitol Reef National Park. Check in was a breeze and Dakota was very helpful. We had our dog and requested a first floor room and the area outside for pets was very nice. Super clean and it was a nice change to see something other than white towels where we were staying. :)

Clean room. Good continental breakfast. Great salt water pool. Very helpful staff - provided excellent food and photo ops!

Clean room and the staff is very kind, parking easy, room view is excellent, room has a small dining table and chairs. it’s good for simple eating. But room has bad smell i don’t know what kinds smell I found same smell in the office too. If without smell I will give good but the smell makes me uncomfortable and headache. So if the same smell in the future I never will not stay there. But without smell it is good.

Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet enough and safe enough for us to leave our window open all night. Management was excellent in getting us checked in and squared away Top notch!! Thank you!!

Room had some type of bugs. When got up early morning found 7-10 of the bugs on bathroom floor and that made us unhappy about the room. The stars I give was for quite location and good view though it’s in middle of nowhere.

The hotel is nice, clean, & quiet. It is located in Cainesville not Torrey. It is about 15 miles past the Capital Reef visitor center on 24.

Zimmer leider sehr abgewohnt, wir hatten tote und lebendige Spinnen im Zimmer und mussten diese leider erstmal beseitigen. Die Ausstattung ist minimalistisch. Frühstück war wenig Auswahl, aber besser als nichts. Einige Gäste mussten im stehen essen/es zum Zimmer mitnehmen. Pool war leider schon geschlossen/abgedeckt. Preis Leistung passte hier nicht, dafür war das Zimmer einfach viel zu teuer. Ich schätze hier zahlt man einfach die Lage..

This place was everything we needed. Large room. Comfy bed. Wifi and TV. Large fridge. Some breakfast items and an ice machine. I’d stay again if in the area.

Review is for 2 queen beds room: Check in went very smoothly. Owners also manage the property and are very friendly and proactive with their gusts. Very nice sized room. Plenty of space to spread out, put bags and suitcases on floor. Room very well lite with lighting coming from every where. Sink outside of bathroom, nice shower. Parking close to room. Plenty of power outlets for computers, chargers, etc. Two chairs and a table. Very good breakfast - waffles, fruit, hot & cold cereal, toast, bagels, sweet breads, juice. Did I mention they have a very good selection of detailed backcountry roads and hiking maps in the lobby which they allow you to borrow and take back to your room to study. Definitely would stay here again if in the area.

A bit in the middle of nowhere but reasonably priced. Bring food or dining is a bit of a drive. Great location for staying between national parks treks. Clean, comfortable, updated rooms (bathrooms, carpet, paint), desk manager was helpful, friendly, and attentive A

The location is amazing, in the middle of nowhere, but next to the national park. There is almost no traffic so the peace is amazing. The facilities are nice too, with good TV and Internet. I have gone twice

A clean and quiet stay very close to Capitol Reef with great view of the mountains.

A few things to take note of: The walls are suuuuuper thin. You can hear the neighbors all night. Room 201 (where we stayed) has one of those carpeting nail strips exposed right between the bathroom and the main room. I stepped on it and stabbed my foot twice! Safety hazard there. They only gave us 3 towels even though the room is a 2 queen room and we booked for 4 people. So we had to go ask for another towel. (Which isn’t a huge deal, but weird that they didn’t even stock enough towels for the room occupancy). The shower head in the same room (201) is also permanently angled to the shower wall. Like they used plumbing glue to affix the shower head and it isn’t straight. So you have to lean into the wall to rinse off. Breakfast has no protein. Don’t be expecting eggs or breakfast meats like other hotel chains. They don’t have it. And the pool and hot tub don’t open until like June. Expedia doesn’t say that, but their website does. I filtered my search to make sure had a pool for the kids—they were very disappointed to see it closed. Not really the hotel’s fault, but Expedia should filter them out during their off-season. The hotel was fine for what you pay for, though. Standard little room. Nothing special. Nice that it was close to Capitol Reef NP and other places we were visiting. Prob would stay somewhere else if we came back to the area though.

We stayed here because we wanted to easily visit capitol reef NP, the areas around Hanksville, and Goblin Valley state park. The location was great for this. The room was nice and quiet. WiFi was reliable which was nice since there was no cell service. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

The manager was extremely helpful throughout our stay. He made a personal call when we changed our reservation and wanted to keep the same room for another day. He came immediately to check and try to fix our air conditioner, explaining that if it was still an issue he had more units for replacement. When we asked again because it wasn't working, he immediately brought a new unit and personally replaced our air conditioner. Very helpful and friendly in multiple ways.

Front desk (Dakota) was friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic, which made the experience extra nice. The outdoor swimming pool was well-kept, clean and with good views. Laundry was convenient. We had a resort-like stay. Highly recommended under this management. (May change soon.) No restaurants unless you drive to Torrey, but close to Capitol Reef NP.

Very remote hotel with nothing much around. No cell service (but wifi calling). This became an issue when our tour operator couldn't reach us and we couldn't reach them when they didn't show up. Arches National Park is about two hours away. To get to Arches in time for our reservation, we needed to leave early. At 6:15 a.m., we wanted to check out but no one was in the office. No place to drop our key as there are at most hotels. At check-in, we were told someone is available at all times via the posted number. We called the number but no one answered. We called every ten then five minutes. No answer. A few minutes before 7 a.m., we saw someone preparing for breakfast. I continued to call, but he just ignored the ringing phone. I was not comfortable leaving without being able to drop off my key or making contact with someone at the hotel. Finally, he came to the door and motioned for me to drop my key on the ground by the door. I hated to do that because anyone could have picked it up. Other people in the hotel were stirring, waiting for the office to open for breakfast. I did as he motioned because we HAD to leave or miss our reservation. Clearly, there isn't anyone available at all times as they said and posted. It was VERY frustrating. We wasted 45 minutes and barely made the hour window of our reservation. The beds were comfy. Breakfast not served until 7 a.m. We were gone before then each day so I cannot speak to the quality.

Fantastic place! I would come back anytime. The staff was helpful and kind - -outstanding in every way. It's a really clean and quiet facility that made me feel comfortable with being there in every way.

We stayed at this property on the night of June 14th, 2025. The rooms are pretty vintage, but overall decent and clean. However, for the price we paid, I’m sure we could have find something better in Torrey. The real issue, for us, were the employees. Specifically one. The morning after the day we arrived, my husband, his service dog and me went to have breakfast. One of the employees did not let my disable husband in the breakfast room because of the dog. We tried to explain him that that was not a pet, but a service animal. We even asked to talk to the manager, cause no one told us anything when we checked in, and he said he was the manager. After we informed him that not letting our service animal inside was against a federal law he said that “he has 5 service dogs at home, but he doesn’t let them in the breakfast room”. First of all, I don’t think you can have 5 service dogs, but if you really have a service dog it’s because you need it to be with you, you cannot just leave it at home. Additionally, he was just very rude, kept interrupting us while my husband and me were trying to talk to each other. His argument was that they have people from all over the world and that they do not like dogs. After this horrible discrimination, my disable husband was forced to have his breakfast outside. The employee did not even offer to bring the breakfast to him so I had to prepare it and bring it outside. This behavior was not only discriminatory

This gem is really in the middle of nowhere. It was great to pull in to Caineville after a long day of driving the Cathedral Valley loop in Capitol Reef NP. Dakota graciously moved us from a 2nd floor room to ground level (no elevator) so we wouldn't have to haul our stuff upstairs. The bed was comfy, and the breakfast was adequate - waffles, bagels, yogurt, cereal, juice, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

The staff, Lea and Dakota were great. Our check-in was fast and efficient. The room was clean and spacious. Great amenities. We appreciate the information and advice they provided, making our stay easier. Although there is no dining in the vicinity of the hotel, we got excellent recommendations for dining in Hanksville, about a 20 minute drive from the hotel.

The hotel is located on a main road but in a remote area on the way to Capitol Reef National Park. There is nothing around it in terms of shops, restaurants, gas, etc. That is not a negative - just something to be aware of. There was plenty of free parking. It was nice that breakfast was included - especially considering the remote nature. All staff that I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. In spite of a June visit, the pool was not open.

Nice room, clean and spacious. Staff was friendly. Nothing around it though - no restaurants, so plan accordingly. Since it was about a 35-minute drive to Torrey, where the restaurants were, we went into Capitol Reef in the morning and didn't return until after dinner.

Overall, this is a nice place to stay, but don’t count on breakfast there. Very minimal offered with the continental breakfast. Plan food options because there isn’t a restaurant within 20 minutes. Very nice pet area also.

The hotel is located close to many very nice attractions, but far away from dining or shopping options. Because of this, it was nice they had a breakfast but there was no fresh fruit or freshly cooked items. The staff was very helpful with maps to area attractions.

Only place to stay east of Capitol Reef. Ok motel with nice hot tub. Breakfast is just cereal and bagels. Some road noise in the morning. It was ok for one night but Torrey has better options.

The property was honestly the only decent option according to reviews. I would say it was ok. It was clean but dated, the staff greeted us and explained the process. Breakfast was super limited-cereal, bagels/toast, oatmeal and waffles were your options coffee and tea. No water or juice. That was a little disappointing due to not being a coffee drinker.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise in Caineville, about 18 miles South of Capitol Reef. It was quiet and comfortable with a nice, very private, pool and hot tub around the side of the hotel. There are a few signs of minor wear and tear that could be addressed, but nothing worth complaining about. The breakfast consisted of waffles, two kinds of children's cereals, bagels, fruit cups, juice and milk. They ought to add a few more items to their breakfast, but it was adequate.

Great front desk service easy checkout. Clean room with good amenities. Breakfast- waffles bagels cereal. Come with a meal plan because your way out there. We knew that and came prepared. Not to mention home made pies at a little park shop.
