They are very nice. The “beach view” isn’t really a view and the bed is super uncomfortable. Barely slept. But you cannot beat the location. Right on the beach with own shade and chairs.

This is the perfect location on the beach. Our room had a sea view and we loved watching the boats. The staff were amazing. They checked in everyday to see if we needed anything. Would stay here again in a heartbeat

Hotel podemos falar que é um hostel melhorado, honesto. Nossa acomodação era bem honesta , limpo, banheiro direitinho. A cama e os travesseiros poderiam ser mais confortáveis.Nao tem elevador, mas a vista do quarto para o mar era linda. Não possui recepção física, mas a Rosa foi muito solícita e a moça da limpeza também. As camas só foram arrumados no segundo dia após meu pedido. A localização é muito boa para quem chega no Porto, mas não existe praia particular no local,ele fica apenas em frente à Praia de Positano onde existe um Beachclub particular de outra empresa que não é o hotel.Nao tem café da manhã.

Great location right close to the action and the beach and with no stairs required unless you choose to go up. Go to a grocery store and get snacks and wine and enjoy the lounge chairs without the fee they charge at the beach and the same view. Check-in was a little bit confusing but turned out okay. There is no reception desk and you have to look for Rosa by either finding her in one of the rooms are going in the side entrance and going down to the bottom where the laundry room is. She's very nice!

Great location, right on the beach! Our room was upgraded which was so nice. They set up our car service too and from Naples which was so helpful. The private beach area and chairs were also so nice to have.

Pleasantly surprised! This was our second time in Positano. Our last hotel in Positano was beautiful but not close to the beach. La Caravella has the best location. Reading all the reviews was helpful as far as check in. Let’s just say the check in was like in the laundry room.! The lady Rosa did not speak English. However, rooms were very spacious, clean, beds a bit firm but the location right on the water was great. It’s not the St.Regis it’s more old school rustic. Our driver dropped us off at the top and had luggage porter deliver to our room.They charge $10 per bag but well worth it. This place is great for families.I would definitely book again.

Rosa doesn’t speak any English , but she was a humorous individual. Room was different from what was booked, furniture was poorly looking and air conditioning was broken . Overall the only decent thing about this place was the direct access to beach .

location is good but property is dated, shower small, it is located right on the beach so if you want view from the hill is missing, no complaints overall, pictures show what apt looks like . we asked for 2 extra towels on day of departure, rosa made face but did provide ultimately.

It was in the heart of Positano and easy access to everything with a private little beach. Few stairs to climb but always more if you want to explore more. Lovely and great coffee shops, restaurants, shops around.

We were pleasantly surprised with this location especially given the terrible reviews that it has. I can’t speak for the other rooms but we booked a “double partial sea view” and it was great! Room was decently clean, amazing location, and bed was comfy! Check in was a little confusing but if you call when you get there, they will send Rosa to get you in. And yes, like some other reviews say, she does take you to the downstairs closet looking room but if you’re nice to her, she’ll be nice to you! Overall very happy with our stay!

Séjour très mitigé, le lit est confortable, la chambre est grande il y a une grande terrasse mais pour le prix c’est très ancien et pas propre. L’accueil est assez froid. Il faut marcher longtemps pour arriver à l’hôtel du parking qui vous coûtera 50 euros les 24h très honnête un si j’avais su j’aurais pris un hôtel en dehors de Positano ! Le seul point positif c’est qu’il est au bord de la plage et de la petite ville mais ça ne vaut pas les 500 euros !

Overall it was a good experience. I don’t know why this place got a lot of bad reviews. Perfect location. Clean place but a little bit outdated as most of the hotels in the Amalfi coast.

Communication with front desk is terrible. It was my 30th anniversary. The rooms AC was not working. Front desk gave us fans. It was the middle of summer. I got in touch with expedia and they denied expedia of anyone complaining on AC not working. We understand sometimes things break and stop working but not to try to fix it and find a solution and lie about no one complaining is not acceptable. They did not care to refund us any amount. It is NOT worth the MONEY. I DO NOT recommend this stay. I want at a partial refund.

Quaint, cutely decorated casita type hotel with nice patio, living room, kitchenette, bed and bath right on the beach. Unfortunately, the beach bar next door plays loud music nightly until midnight. Hotel did not include kitchen towels, soap, sponge, paper towels or wine glasses. For the nightly price, those items need to be included. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, which was four nights.

Pleasantly surprised! This was our second time in Positano. Our last hotel in Positano was beautiful but not close to the beach. La Caravella has the best location. Reading all the reviews was helpful as far as check in. Let’s just say the check in was like in the laundry room.! The lady Rosa did not speak English. However, rooms were very spacious, clean, beds a bit firm but the location right on the water was great. It’s not the St.Regis it’s more old school rustic. Our driver dropped us off at the top and had luggage porter deliver to our room.They charge $10 per bag but well worth it. This place is great for families.I would definitely book again.

Rosa doesn’t speak any English , but she was a humorous individual. Room was different from what was booked, furniture was poorly looking and air conditioning was broken . Overall the only decent thing about this place was the direct access to beach .

location is good but property is dated, shower small, it is located right on the beach so if you want view from the hill is missing, no complaints overall, pictures show what apt looks like . we asked for 2 extra towels on day of departure, rosa made face but did provide ultimately.

Overall it was a good experience. I don’t know why this place got a lot of bad reviews. Perfect location. Clean place but a little bit outdated as most of the hotels in the Amalfi coast.

Check in was confusing. You have to call and someone comes out to greet you in the courtyard. The room we had included a daybed and we asked for an extra sheet and pillowcase to cover it. We sent an email and called and the next day we were met in the courtyard by the staff who told us it was ‘not normal’ that we wanted the extra sheets. She wanted us to show her the room and accused us of hosting additional guests beyond the 2 of us (which we were not). We were also told that she would check the video surveillance to ensure we did not have additional guests (which we did not). It just left a bad taste for our stay. On the positive side, it is a great location!

Communication with front desk is terrible. It was my 30th anniversary. The rooms AC was not working. Front desk gave us fans. It was the middle of summer. I got in touch with expedia and they denied expedia of anyone complaining on AC not working. We understand sometimes things break and stop working but not to try to fix it and find a solution and lie about no one complaining is not acceptable. They did not care to refund us any amount. It is NOT worth the MONEY. I DO NOT recommend this stay. I want at a partial refund.

Great location right close to the action and the beach and with no stairs required unless you choose to go up. Go to a grocery store and get snacks and wine and enjoy the lounge chairs without the fee they charge at the beach and the same view. Check-in was a little bit confusing but turned out okay. There is no reception desk and you have to look for Rosa by either finding her in one of the rooms are going in the side entrance and going down to the bottom where the laundry room is. She's very nice!

Please stay away from This property, it is highly unsafe and people that work here are very, very, very rude and unprofessional. They did not let me check in into my room when I arrive and later, said that it was not their job to let me in, it did not make sense in the place look terrible. This is the worst place. I have been in all my travel, I have never had this sort of anger in disappointment, don’t make the mistake of booking this place. There are many better places around this hotel with better prices, I ended up paying for another hotel right around the corner and he was 10 times better and people were nicer. It is incredible. How rude and professional this people are.

Located right on the beach. Perfect location. However if u are not traveling by ferry, u need to hire porter to carry the stuff to the hotel because of the distance. Overall I felt that it is not worth of money spent.

Great location, right on the beach! Our room was upgraded which was so nice. They set up our car service too and from Naples which was so helpful. The private beach area and chairs were also so nice to have.

Hotel podemos falar que é um hostel melhorado, honesto. Nossa acomodação era bem honesta , limpo, banheiro direitinho. A cama e os travesseiros poderiam ser mais confortáveis.Nao tem elevador, mas a vista do quarto para o mar era linda. Não possui recepção física, mas a Rosa foi muito solícita e a moça da limpeza também. As camas só foram arrumados no segundo dia após meu pedido. A localização é muito boa para quem chega no Porto, mas não existe praia particular no local,ele fica apenas em frente à Praia de Positano onde existe um Beachclub particular de outra empresa que não é o hotel.Nao tem café da manhã.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this property. The pre-check-in communication was excellent—everything was clearly explained, and all information, our questions' answers and directions were provided in a timely manner. We were even able to check in early. Be sure to have cash on hand to pay the tourist tax upon arrival, as this is a standard procedure. The property was very clean and well maintained, with plenty of towels provided. The windows were effective at blocking outside noise, and the blackout curtains did a great job of keeping the room dark. The manager is usually on-site. While her English is limited, she understands questions well and is incredibly kind and helpful. The views from the balcony and windows are absolutely stunning, and the location is fantastic. We felt that the price was very fair considering the property’s prime location. We also felt very safe throughout our stay, both at the property and while walking around the surrounding area. Our favorite breakfast spots were Caffè Positano (be prepared for a climb up the stairs) and Paradise Sports Bar. For dinner, we highly recommend Lo Guarracino, which offers both amazing food and breathtaking views. We also appreciated that the beach loungers directly in front of the hotel belonged to the property and were available without any additional fees. We highly recommend arriving and departing by ferry. Enjoy the incredible scenery and have the trip of a lifetime!

Extremely disappointing experience for the price point. We booked a large three-bed room but were given a small one-bed room with no notice or explanation. Staff did not speak English and di not even try, and when we politely inquired about the room error or a price adjustment, we were dismissed and openly mocked in Italian. We tried broken italian, google translate but they just don't care. We were also overcharged for local taxes 8eur vs 5eur without receiving a receipt. On arrival, there was no electricity or water; at this premium price, a simple bottle of water would have been a courteous gesture. We are frequent visitors to Positano, but this was our first and last stay here. Avoid.
