Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Huge plus was the pool is opened until midnight. BUT staff accused us of having dogs in the room and charged me an extra $250 because they found a dog hair. When I called to ask about the extra charges I got an attitude from the lady that answered it. I explained that if she watched the cameras she would see us walking in with no dogs and leaving with no dogs her response was “I guess I’ll send it back but I don’t have time to watch the cameras I just know when I went up there the dog hair was on the other bed” she then got upset when I told her that the second bed was where we had put all of our clothes so I don’t doubt there was dog hair there. She then rushed me off the phone. VERY rude and unprofessional. I told her multiple times that I understood where she was coming from but if she looked at the camera she would see. Won’t be staying there again.

Got there at 9 pm on a Sunday night after a 12 hour drive. Web site said it had a bar & could make pizza. We were the last check in of the night & bar area was dark. Loretta checked us in, whipped us up a couple cocktails, & cooked us a pizza(frozen, but good), while cleaning and folding towels. Made time to talk to us like we were old friends. Loretta was awesome.

The room was perfect, however, the amenities are in flux right now. The hot tub was lukewarm, the workout room was closed and the pool hours have been shortened even on Saturday night. The breakfast was better than most any continental you can usually hope for anywhere else, but the coffee was regularly running out. It seems there's been some changes in management and a learning curve is in effect.

Pretty good visit. Beds not as comfy as I like but my thought ok. Very clean hotel w/exception of stain on fabric of chair. And the cushion worn out. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Great pool. Good breakfast. Rm 126 very quite which we need. Our sleep is important to us.

The hotel is set in a lovely country setting right off the highway. It waa cozy, cleab and comfortable. One of the quietest hotels we have stayed in, with the minor exception of the air conditioning unit, which was a little loud, but not obnoxiously so. The breakfast was delicious, with good options available. The staff were all friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Maybe my expectations were too high. I stayed because I needed a quiet and relaxing getaway. I wanted to use the exercise room and walked down the hall with no luck. I saw there was a bar area but no one was around. I searched through the pamphlet in the room to see I had to walk through the pool area to get to exercise room. Thing i disliked the most, there was no comfy chair in the room. The room was clean. I think next time I'll look for a airbnb.

My son, dad and I stayed here over the weekend for a baseball tournament and couldn't have had a better experience. The hot tub was 102° the pool was 85° and both in clean, working condition. We stayed in the large family suite and it was perfect for what we needed. The bed was comfortable the pillows were comfortable, linens were clean. It’s a small hotel so not much walking to do no matter what room you’re in. Staff was super friendly and seemed like a positive bunch. Overall, really enjoyed our stay here. The only issue we had, which was out of the hotels control, was there was road construction in front of the hotel which caused a little confusion upon arrival on how to get in the hotel parking lot but thanks to GPS. We just navigated our way around it. I would highly recommend this property and when I come back to Cedar Rapids I’ll be staying here again. Cute little sleepy town can’t wait to come back.

We’ve been to this property 4 times and have always been treated well and enjoyed our time here but this time the hotel staff was seriously off their game. From checking in and being confronted about ringing the bell 5 times (I guess that’s too many) to a drain we reported clogged was never fixed and a grumpy manager allowing a noon check out but made it seem like a huge deal without even checking to see if the room was even occupied on a Sunday night in Anamosa. Really off their game on this visit.

We one of a handful of guests this night. The property is off a busy highway but was very easy to access. The motel room was very quiet and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was limited due to the low occupancy, and we understand that. We have stayed at many AmericInn's over the years and have never been disappointed. If we have to stay overnight in Anamosa, Iowa again, AmericInn will be our preferred place to stay.

I stayed at this hotel as I was passing through. I can’t say enough good things about it. Staff was very friendly, the common areas and the rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was a hot breakfast with many choices, and was very good. I will be staying here again.

Just there for one night. The heater turning on/off kept waking us up, expected the snow to be somewhat cleared when we arrived but assumed they wait for snow to stop. Breakfast the coffee was okay but the rest was not appealing. The bagels look dry and chose to skip. The room was very clean and so was the place overall. For the cost it was good, I did not need the breakfast. Just hope they can update the heaters to be quieter
