South River Suites

First the good - checkin staff very nice and parking was free and easy. Bad includes thin walls and a LOT of noise, even at 1am on a Thursday night. Could hear the TV and other "adult activity" in room next door. People shouting in the parking lot 2 floors down, loud talking in hallway. I couldn't sleep until 2:30am when things finally quieted down. Sheets were old and rough. Pillows horrible. Seemed clean though and nice having a kitchen with full fridge even though only there for 1 night. But the biggest nightmare (and I am sure this is temporary) was construction everywhere in the area making getting to the hotel very difficult. Oh and there is another NW South River Drive in Miami East of the airport so be careful with GPS.

THIS HOTEL WASNT BAD. DOESNT HAVE ANY AMENITIES LIKE POOL OR GYM. WOULDVE PREFERRED A SITTING ROOM THAN THE KITCHENETTE BUT THE BALCONY WAS FINE. DIDNT LIKE THE TRASH SMELL IN HALLWAYS FROM GUEST LEAVING TRASH OUT

The hotel was clean. It came equipped with kitchenette. Walls are thin. Property is ok I would stay again. Parking was easy and convenient. I wanted to check In early for a fee but room wasn’t available yet. So check in time is spot on. Basic hotel 20 min from airport. I drove close to an hour to get to south beach with traffic. (Tourist purposes) it would equate to a 32 dollar uber ride to south beach to hotel

The bench in shower was off the wall with exposed screws. Fire alarm went off for 10 minutes with no explanation in the morning. Parking was convenient. The street the hotel is on is under construction so lots of dirt/dust and construction machines around

Could not get comfortable and sleep at night. The other issue is the parking garage. Anyone can walk into the open air parking garage and follow the hallways up inside the hotel and up to guest rooms.. there is nothing restricted with room card key or anything.

The Roads Around The Property Have Potholes.. Also The People Above Was Drying Wet Clothes Over Balcony Which Didn't Allow Me And My Woman To Enjoy Sitting On The Balcony At Night Because Water Falling Everywhere. Rooms Were Very Clean,Amenities Were Nice, Wifi Is Great, I Asked For A Smoking Room And Received A Non Smoking Room.

A lot of construction going on outside, and the walls are thin, so you can hear pretty much anything going on outside/next door. But other than that the stay was nice, clean, good parking and friendly staff

It was great having 3 bedrooms and a full kitchen, but the entire place needed a deep cleaning. We did a lot of cleaning ourselves.

The frontdesk lady was nice and helpful. The toilet had hair and poop residue from previous person (s) also in the tub had hair from previous person(s) staying in the room. I also found a dirty tissue on our bed which did not belongs to us. The room was dirty and had a strange scent.

During my six-day stay at South River Suites, everything was exceptional. The amenities, cleanliness, and service fully justify its rate. I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable, peaceful, and well-attended stay. Without a doubt, I would stay here again.

Nice clean place

The stay was okay, upon arrival the hotel has a smell you can tell it wasn’t going to be clean but you get what you pay for. The room smelled also bathroom consisted of lots of hair from other guest also the towels had hair on them as well. Very uncomfortable stay but I made the best of it.

Dirty and very thin walls. Found a blood stain???? When we removed our bedding after our stay like we usually do. Front desk didn’t even care. When reported. Would not recommend.

Mechanics working on multiple cars outside 3 people only 1 bed charged 10 per night for roll away bed Did not want to change my room Lock not working Bad smell in hall way Stained pillowcase on the roll away mattress that I had to pay $10 a night for and told they did not have anything else. I was given a small baby pillow since they didn’t have another pillow to replace the blood stained one. Mold in room Refrigerator was dirty Didn’t want to give me a receipt that I left

Nice room and had balcony, full kitchen, great for an extended stay. Area is a bit hard to navigate but hotel is great.

The room was clean and very nice, even had a balcony. The only downside was noise. About 3AM the neighbors decided to make a bunch of noise and that was the end of our sleep.

I recently stayed at South River Suites, and my experience was a mix of pros and cons. The suite itself was spacious, but the cleanliness left something to be desired. While the surfaces appeared wiped down, there were small details that made it feel only semi-clean. It wasn’t terrible, but it definitely could have been better. The biggest issue for me was the mattress. It was extremely firm, to the point of being uncomfortable. If you prefer a soft or even medium-firm bed, this might not be the place for you. I woke up feeling stiff, which isn’t ideal when traveling. On the positive side, the hotel had friendly staff, in a decent location. However, if comfort and spotless cleanliness are top priorities, you might want to consider other options.

Clean room with a lot of space but a little outdated. Good value for what we paid

I enjoyed my stay. The Deluxe suite was very spacious and everything worked. The air conditioning was cool and worked all day and night (I love the cold air). The balcony was much larger than I expected - which I loved. I wanted a quiet staycation and that's exactly what I got. The bed, the tv, the lighting... everything was perfect for a solo traveler like myself. The price was perfect as well. Thank you.

Booked a 3 bedroom Deluxe suite. Upon arrival they had overbooked and gave us a handicap room, it was nothing like the pictures of what I booked. It was an old dirty handicap room that smelled funny, had an a/c that didn't really work and the bathroom sink was falling off the wall. Again nothing like what was in the reservation pictures. After speaking with the wonderful Miss Evelyn at the front desk she contacted the Assistant Manager and was able to talk him into moving us to a 2 bedroom Suite at no additional charge. Found it somewhat amusing that the Assistant Manager made a big deal about giving us a smaller accommodation at no additional charge, like really it should be less lol!! Anyway, the 2 bedroom was what was pictured and met expectations. Would have given a better rating if management would have provided what was advertised from the beginning or wouldn't have made it seem like he was doing me some type of favor by not charging me extra for a smaller apartment. Evelyn, the young man working the front desk and the house keeping staff were all great!!

I had to wait like 15 mins in the lobby to check in cause no one was there, the guy the checked me in didn’t seem to know what he was talking about he didn’t specify anything about where to park or where to enter from to get to the room, after checking in I went up stairs to the room and opened the door to walk in and there was a bunch of water coming from the bathroom out to the entrance of the door I almost slipped and fell, when I went downstairs to let someone know the front desk lights were off and no one was available.. I then told the security guard what was going on and he didn’t know what to do, I had to go down stairs with him and get the cleaning equipment and then I had to roll it from the elevator to the room just to find out there was no mop, so the security told me he will look for something else to clean up all the water on the floor… he then brings me a broom with a towel over it and handed it to me with Clorox so that I can clean up the mess which I did.. at this point I was already annoyed he then stated that they have no one at that time to clean or even switch me rooms.. the room also had a weird smell and there was food particles inside the kitchen sink… this was the worst place, I will never stay here again

Parking was great for this hotel but very limited amenities. TV remote in living room did not work and sound was crackled. I reported this twice with no results.

Everyone there from the time i check in to check out was nice house keeping on point ladies was nice didn't have to asks them for anything they just provided, and there was Always a police officer stationed out front fresh coffee and lime water and stuff for purchase in the Lobby great experience, room was comfortable and clean

The hotel itself is Very clean and in good condition. The problem is the location! It is in a very industrial solutions type area, as in HEAVY comercial construction trucks/products and the area itself is under heavy construction. This made it difficult for drivers to find me and get to that area due to constant heavy traffic and rode closures. The location isn’t convenient without the construction also. If you aren’t there for a reason to be in Hialeah , this place is definitely not a good pick. I would’ve switched hotels immediately if I could easily but this package was booked through a third party site and too much of a hassle to fix.

Very good for its price. Inconvenient because three bedroom which fits 7 people only has 1 bathroom. Location is very so so, easy to get stuck in traffic across the river. Mostly nothing nearby but driving 10 minutes can get you everything. Again very good for the price.

The neighborhood is horrible. It is in a 70 year industrial area..... Closest restaurant is 20 min away. Wild stray cats running in the parking area & smelled of cat urine. View from our room was an old rusted warehouse & a few industrial dumpsters. Was very concerned my car might be stolen or broken into overnight. We grabbed our bags in the first 20 minutes & left losing money on our two night stay as they wouldn't do a full refund. The reviews & stars on Hotels.com are totally fake!! Don't go there & get screwed!

Does not feel like a hotel but I haven't faced any problems. It is definitely far away from anywhere and in the industrial area. However, the room is not small, the kitchen has many cutlery, the storage spaces are many, and our towels has changed daily. I would say the biggest drawback is the lack of proper ventilation. AC works but when somebody cooks in their room, the entire aisle smells the same. Similarly, there was a very strong chemical cleaning smell when we entered the room. I am not sure if it was coming from the floor cleaning or the bed sheets. But it did not vanished away easily although we run the AC for a long time. Other hand that, it is a safe and convenient place with affordable price. Definitely not the best but adequate for the price.

Spacious room and lovely balcony. Easy to get in and out of building, parking on site was superb (choice of covered or visible from my room) No toaster or oven in kitchen. Bed was small. Location in industrial area, with no stores within walking distance, but gas station nearby. Easy on-and-off major road. Overall was clean and functional for a business trip. Primary reason for staying here was the reasonable price.

Great property. It was clean, safe, and convenient for me to stay at an affordable rate. However, the property is in an industrial area with limited options for food. Helpful and friendly staff. All things considered, I recommend this as a value property.
