Motel 6-Rossford, OH

There were mice droppings on the sheets. The a/c did not work at all and we did not get any sleep. We should have been refunded. We also got this room because it was outside entrances, however, the outside entrances were not working and they converted doors on the inside. The worst motel 6 I've stayed at. Reception VERY nice.

Ice machine broke, it’s a bare bones property but that’s why it was cheap.

Decent value. Ice machine out of order was a major disappointment. Great for a quick overnight which is exactly what we needed.

For a bed and shower, refrigerator and microwave, and plenty of channels on the tv, this is a solid choice. No frills, a couple of hiccups (empty candy wrapper in the ice bucket - ice machine not working -, no toilet paper). As i said, no frills.

Love the property, but needs a working ice machine

I had requested a 1st-floor room, due to items I was traveling with. I was told all they had was the 2nd floor. Disappointed, I went to my room and found out there was no elevator to haul my equipment, and the stairs would be multiple trips. The manager saw my issue and informed me he only had a king room for $7 more. I hesitated because, though it wasn't much, the room was coming out of my pocket to save me a couple of hours from traveling for work. The manager saw my dilemma and covered the extra cost so I could get some rest. I am so thankful because I really was tired. The room was perfect. Very clean. Nice flooring. Comfy bed and pillows. Small but very efficient bathroom with nice hot water for the shower. I did get a great night's rest and was ready to take on the next day, and easily got my work items to and from my vehicle. It is a no-frills motel, but clean, with a nice helpful staff (one of the cleaning crew made sure to point out the wet floor in the hallway as she was mopping), and a convenient location by the highway.

We stayed here for tractor pull in bowling green. Pretty decent hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating on most things we asked for (extra pillow and towels). Seems like they are in the process of trying to update it, parking lot looks fairly new and is in great shape, new AC units. There was no breakfast, nothing in vending machines, ice machine didnt work, and no "do not disturb" signs for door. We didnt care about the vending but ice would have been nice. Area was quiet and felt safe. Subway across parking lot. McDonald's and gas station across the street. Room was clean. The 2 lamps on the wall by the bed didn't have light bulbs (we didnt bother to ask for any). Bed was uncomfortable for us, we prefer a little softer and it was pretty hard. Bathroom clean but horrible water pressure in shower, 1 ply toilet paper; bar soap was provided but no shampoo or conditioner (didn't bother us as we bring our own). All in all pretty good hotel for the price.

On the plus side, it's dog friendly so we could have our small dog in our room. The bathroom was large enough, with a counter, and clean. Bed was decent. Fridge worked. Staff pleasant. Easy late night check in. Good rate. Down sides: ice machine broken. Coffee in an urn, powdered creamer, messy coffee area. Pine needles on room floor. No shampoo.

We stay here every year on our way west. Very friendly service, fully renovated rooms. Great for traveling with a dog. Excellent value!

Rooms are nice clean and comfortable If you like the smell of “medical Marijuana” Coming through your A/C vents all night long this is the place for you I called front desk nothing they can do But I thought this was a no smoking within certain feet of building but I guess not

The whole places reeked of pot from the moment you walk in the the office. Walls are super thin and you can hear everything. King bed came with 2 small pillows. When asked for more they came promptly but smelled like smoke. Hairs were left in the shower and sink and the floors were sticky.

Unfortunately, our room was not as clean as it could have been. Upon check-in to our room, I found 8 strands of a woman's hair stuck on the back of my pillow. And there were a few crumbs of food on the blanket that easily should have fallen off if someone had shaken the blanket when making the bed. Otherwise, the room appeared to be clean. We went out and spent the next day with family and didn't return to our room until 9:45 pm. At that time, as soon as we entered the room, my partner noticed a few bugs crawling on the bathroom door. I think we killed 5 all together but that was more than enough to convince us to pack up and go. And so we did. I advised the desk clerk of our find upon check-out.

This was a surprisingly clean, quiet, and comfortable motel. Everything was new and very clean. Way more than I expected. Off of a quiet exit off of I-75 as well. Truly perfect for a no frills stay.

Pot smell

Friendly service. Refrigerator was stained inside, looked easily cleanable. Hallways stunk of marijuana. I was happy the side doors were always locked and needed my key to open. It was nice and quiet.

The room was fine. You get what you pay for, so we didn't expect great, and it wasn't great. It was ok. The room was clean enough, but the parking lot was a bit run down and questionable. The beds were rock hard, and they only put two pillows on each which isn't great when more than one person is on the bed. The TV was fine, but we couldn't switch inputs to use our Apple TV. The worst part was that the air conditioner didn't really work well. It had places where it looked like you should press them, but there was no screen or anything on there to tell you that you had made a difference. There was no temperature listed, so you could press up or down, but it didn't even really press. It was almost like a kids' toy that was made to look like something function but wasn't actually. There was a fan button, but no display to tell you if you had turned the fan on at all, much less if it was on high or low. For a quick overnight where all we did was arrive, sleep, and leave very early the next morning, it was fine. And, dogs stay free, so that was a nice perk too.

It was pretty basic. Clean and quiet. It is ideal for the price. If you just need a place to sleep for the night. The mattress was really firm.

Ladies at reception were very nice. Beds were not at all comfy. Train whistles all night long. Too close to hwy. And there was a traffic circle that was right by hotel & people would honk at each other. This is a decent, cheap hotel. I would not stay here again.

The motel was renovated except for the bathtub that was moldy and the cover on the bed which was old and ripped. The worse thing about this motel was the noise. Terrible insulation...you could hear everything from the hallways and neighbours. Our experience wasn't that good as at 3 o'clock in the morning 2 little kids were crying and running in the hallway. It was a while until the owner came and dealt with the problem. All in all the motel is in a nice area and a good value for the money.

AC wasn't working. Clerk moved us to another room but AC wasn't that good either.

One thing I noticed were the details of the room. Like, there were no shabby baseboards or dirty caulking in the bathroom—conditions that are commonly seen in basic motels and even higher priced hotels. It showed that this property was well cared for. Beds were comfortable and rooms were good sized. Entry to the room was from an interior hallway. The room also had a door leading to the exterior but it was not able to be used. That was disappointing because it would have been easier to bring suitcases in directly from the car that way.

We were in town because of an early morning fishing trip. The room served its purpose. We chose it because of the reviews after we nixed the suggested motel. The room is "vintage", but in good shape. I appreciate that the floors are not carpeted. I usually never sleep well in a hotel/motel the first night. I have stayed in 5-star hotels and not been comfortable in the bed. I usually travel with my own pillow. This bed and pillows were comfortable.

Well I prepaid on expedia as I was arriving after a 20hr drive to be greeted by an annoyed worker but I think was the owner. He proceeded to tell me he had not received payment and I had to pay him. I shows him ny charge from expedia for the noght and he saod nope you have to pay me. I was irritated by that and he was also very rude. Never again motel 6. The bathroom had not been previously cleaned either I saw dirt all over the floor and soap stains in the shower. Not worth it if anyone wants to be treated like garbage and have to call for a refund which should not have to deal with.

My recent stay at this hotel was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, there was no one at the front desk to assist with check-in, and we had to call the hotel by phone to get our room assignment. Unfortunately, the first room we were given had a strong, unpleasant odor, reminiscent of a toilet. We returned to the office and requested a room change, which was promptly provided. While the second room was clean, the bed linens had a terrible smell, which detracted from our comfort. To make matters worse, when it came time to check out, there was again no staff available. I had no choice but to leave the key in the office. Overall, the lack of service and the issues with the room made for a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel based on my stay.

The front office manager was friendly and check in was easy.

Table in room had food crumbs. Sink had slow drain. No toilet paper. Wi-Fi didn’t work. Stains on pillows and sheets.Book online through Hotel.com. Motel 6 in Rossford Ohio. Motel double Charge me for stay. Owner Evie he refused refund me for their mistake. Beware if you pay online they will charge you again when you check in through them. All around building Dead bugs all over their sidewalks outside.

You get what you pay for, but this Motel 6 was the worst I’ve stayed in. The television was somehow stuck on a religious channel, and although some of the remote buttons would work, you could not change the channel. In addition, there was a cockroach in my bathroom. When I told the lady at checkout that they need to look into this she was quite rude and asked why I didn’t say anything before. Well, M’aam, I would have if it was not late at night on my last night in the middle of a giant thunderstorm, and I found the roach in the morning when I was checking out. When I politely told her this, she just stared at me. No apologies, no concerns. She very clearly did not care. Maybe this note will help her to care, but I doubt it.

I did a quick stop over on a long cross country trip. I got in late and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's right off the exit, next to a gas station and with a McDonald's across the roundabout. It worked perfectly for me. I was able to gas up and get breakfast right after I checked out. Again, I cannot overstate the friendliness of the staff.

Motel was a bargain. Very comfortable room, easy access to our southbound highway on our departure, area around motel is struggling but does not seem dangerous at all. Staff were very accommodating and professional.

The motel is right off the highway with many food options just down the road and a gas station right next door. The room is what you would expect for a budget stay. Staff was very friendly. I would stay here again.

Super convenient. Good bar food nearby. 24 hr mcdonalds right there as well. Refrigerator needed cleaning this time but this isn't a usual problem.

It's a new property and nice and clean. My room had a microwave and fridge. Hot water immediate. TV good. It's rather remote but next door is a Subway and there is a convenience store next to a filling station. Hallways need vacuuming--can that be so hard?

We absolutely were taken. The hotel was nothing that was listed. There were zero amenities that the Expedia website had offered. I was completely astonished when there was no coffee anywhere. I had to get completely dressed, head to the gas station and get my morning coffee. There was no roll a way bed either. I am very disappointed.
