Motel 6-Roanoke, TX - Northlake - Speedway

This is our fourth time staying here. It is always clean and comfortable. It's great that pets are welcome. Staff is always very friendly. The beds are comfy. The location is great so many things to do close, by car. The campus is very quiet and the surrounding area is safe. Texas Motor speedway and Buc-ee's are across the freeway.

This whole place was filthy, the rooms were dirty and the pool was full of garden debris and had a lovely piece of toilet paper floating on the surface. The first night neither the shower or AC worked. Moved to a different room the second night which was dirty and the bathroom door was punched full of holes. Due to proximity to NASCAR race I paid $195 for the first night and $149 for the second night. I have never felt more ripped off by motel ever. Whoever manages this motel should be ashamed and terminated with cause. Do a damn corporate inspection once in while for Gods sake……… I will never stay at a Motel 6, ever! I would rather sleep in my car!

It's not a fancy hotel but it's decent & they dont seem to care what size your dogs are as long as they're not obnoxious, loud & of course, dont destroy anything. Best part is they aren't judgmental about breeds. I have a mid-size Pitbull & an large Pitbull mix. This is the 2nd time we've stayed there & for that reason. Love when I can take my big fur babies with me!

The check in was no great. If you don't like customer service then you should be good. The gentleman checking me in did not say 1 word to me. He was on a personal call, and did not pause the call to assist me. There was not a hello, goodbye, or a thank you. The first room they put us in, the door would stay closed. My 4 yr old granddaughter could push it to open the door. There was no hardware in the door jam to keep the door from opening. The guy seemed upset when I asked for a different room. He followed me up, and showed me the trick to keeping it closed. There shouldn't be a trick. 30 minutes later there was someone in that room. The rest of the stay wasn't bad, but we were literally only there to sleep. It is not in my opinion eco friendly as everything was changed daily on our multiple day stay. Pets are allowed at no charge, but there is a sign up front that if they cause an issue you will be asked to leave with no refund. The check out was the same as the check in. No acknowledgement or thank you for staying. My husband had to yell to get his attention that the cards were on the desk. He didn't move from his chair in the office just nodded his head. If they had a box to drop the cards in, or some kind of secure place to put them it wouldn't be a big deal. We left, again without a single word.

The hotel was a reasonable price and reviews did not seem that bad. Hotel staff was slightly rude and the rooms were not clean and the furniture was falling apart. First room they switched me to did not have curtains. The second room, the key did not work. The pool is a hazard itself. Parts of the pool chipping away and tile falling off. Had my autistic grandson with me and staff was rude about it when he would laugh loud while going through the lobby. If you want a stay that is affordable but not comfortable at all, this is the place.

Nice for the price, but be aware in the single bed rooms no microwave, refrigerator, and no closet. Bed was really squeaky just getting in and out of or if you moved around. But other than that was pretty nice overall.

I find it strange there are no microwaves in the rooms. There are only 2 in the main lobby for all guest of 3 floors to share. Weird, even for the motel 6

The pool works

One of our two rooms, upon arrival, had someone in it. Then our rooms had mold in the showers and dust everywhere. They did move us to different rooms which were better. The sheets were on the scratchy side, and the hallways and elevator were grossly unclean. We got a little less than what we expected for the price. We knew we were in a low budget hotel, but some of these things are free to fix. We frequent the area, and won’t stay here again.

The room was nice and clean. The property was well Maintained.

Everything was clean, hotel smells nice, completely up to date. They didn't have shampoo, conditioner or lotion in the room, please bring your own.

It was nice to be able to have our dogs with us at no charge. Clean towels and bedding. Reasonable rate per night. A/C worked, and tv was nice.The room was absolutely filthy. (Floors, counters, walls, corners and sink. ) The beds were thin, springs hurt and pillows were not good. Overall for the price it was ok. But no matter what, no hotel should rent a room that dirty to anyone.

Bathroom had mold buildup in the shower, and the room had cockroaches.

Hallway smelled like pee, we stayed in 222 and we had a bed bug and it bit our baby. We took a picture and showed staff, they didn’t really care about it.

I’ve stayed at several Motel 6 and have had great experiences. But this Motel 6 was far from that. First off Rje ( hope I spelled that right) only made three sounds and Spoke only three words to me while checking in. He hates his job. Now moving on the conditions of the room and hallway. Yes I said hallway. Just walking to the room was horrible. With the mounds of animal hair and the smell of devils lettuce slapping you in the face, I knew I messed up staying here. But wait there’s the room. Upon opening the room, our nostrils were hit with the most musty smell imaginable. There was an army of sugar ants on the small table and dust bunnies all over the floor. Women’s hair just relaxing in the shower floor. This experience made me rethink life. Motel 6 please do better. Enforce the NO Smoking rules. Take the crap outside. Rje be nice. It’s not hard. House keeping, do your job. You only did one visit during three day stay. Ok I’m done.

This place is a dump. No nicer way to put it. Pulled in and the pool was brown. Trash can in lobby was overflowing. Nasty old ramen noodles spilled on the floor in the lobby or thrown up one of the two but they had been sitting there for a long time. Carpets in hallway were dirty. The entire establishment smelled of old stale cigarette smoke. They don’t provide even basic necessities so don’t forget your shampoo. No washcloths in room. only had 2 towels and two hand towels in room for two people. No fridge in room nor ANYWHERE to hang clothes (no closet). Front desk guy was rude. When we went to check out no one was at desk. Yelled hello several times. This place is terrible. For $150 a night I would expect much better. It’s a dump. Spend the extra money and go to the surrounding hotels!

Bed was uncomfortable and mattress was hard. Pillows were paper thin and there were only 2. There was pasta spilled inside the elevator. We asked for a late checkout and were only given 30 minutes extra. Overall our stay was poor to say the least.

Second Motel 6 I’ve stayed in the past year both have just been bad. This one in particular they went out of their way to be super cheap. It’s got to be the smallest hotel room I’ve ever seen in the United States. The beds feel like you’re sleeping on a piece of plywood. Bathrooms are extremely small hard to move around it did have cable TV, but almost all the stations were Spanish,

We went for a nascar event. The room was small which wasn’t a big deal since we were spending most of the time at the track. But the layout was odd. The TV wasn’t in a position where both people in the bed could watch, the fridge was under a table which limited the space for people to sit. The hanger situation was odd too. No closet just a small rack behind the TV mount. Pillows were matted down so I had to fold them over to get the right comfort. Overall the big issue was the room. If you are just sleeping there, then it’s fine, you don’t need much and what the room had was enough. If you want a place to relax after a long day of work or what have you, maybe look another place. Room was clean, people were nice, nothing broken, just very basic.

Probably the least comfortable bed ever. TV wasn’t working properly with cables hanging out the front. I would not stay here again.

The AC was not working very efficiently at all. I asked to be switched to another room. There was not one available. Front desk came to look and insisted it was working fine. It finally reached 78 degrees by 2am. It should be noted that we developed a power issue at home and the electrician couldn't come until the next day. I chose this hotel so I could enjoy some AC and electricity for the night. Next time I'll choose somewhere different.

It is good for the price the beds are hard and hurt my back.

While the stay was nice, and the dining options were nice. The motel's internet is not reliable. You need to be ready to use your hotspot or tether to your phone.

Other than the fact that the a/c never cooled the room, and the shower head was missing and the commode ran all the time, it was ok

Poorly maintained property, very small room. Sometimes you get less than you pay for.

Great customer service

Housekeeping was terrible. Just came in and picked up towels and empty the trash. Left no towels and we called front desk. Beds unmade 3 days in a row.

The hallways smelled like smoke (cigarette and other things) but the staff was not helpful with the only drink machine to purchase anything was out of order and staff didn’t bring clean towels the second day or check on the room. Upon calling the front desk I was told if I brought the dirty towels down they’d give me clean ones.

Guy at the front was extremely rude. Every time I went to address a concern, he was sitting in the back with his shoes off. Just a very unkind person and acted as if my concerns were inconveniencing him somehow. Beds are barely sturdy enough to lay on, mattress might as well be on the floor but then you’d be laying with the cockroaches. Night stand in between beds literally falling off the wall. Did not feel safe being outside of the room at all. Overall stay was a horrific experience.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Very clean and quiet. Thanks to Raj for being a good host.

Found cockroaches in the rrom and outside of our door was dog poop everywhere. When my wife spoke to the manager about the cockroaches his reply was..."and?" She was shocked thats all he had tp say. Then when she told him about all the dog poop he replied .."people have dogs" so she didnt even bother to tell him the sink in the room was clogged up. Worst hotel stay ever! And rudest front desk we have ever encountered! I wouldnt stay here again if it was free!

Attendant at counter was indifferent and unfriendly. At first he didn't want to give us sheets and blankets for our daughter until I persuaded him to. If you don't want to have customer service skills, find another job.

The property was mostly clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Raj, a front desk clerk, was very helpful, in particular.

Conveniently located to fwy, gas, shopping. Even though it was in a busy area the hotel itself was quiet. The elevator was a bit dirty though.

I like the proximity to everything. This is my third time staying here.

When we arrived there was a guy yelling out his window. Had me tal issue. Then when we came back from dinner, two cop cars were in the parking lot. Was charged for 2 rooms with queen beds, but both rooms had full size beds. Rated a 7 but it felt like a 3. Will not stay there again.

Went out for a cigarette and watched someone getting arrested.he was complaining about local law enforcement on his a**. They knew who he was even though he made the complaint, so I don’t know. Not typically what I run into at a hotel. Was Friday night, maybe just an off night. If you have a few extra bucks to spend, it. pictures may be a little deceiving.

No breakfast!

It is one of the best Motel 6 hotels I have stayed at. The bench in the bedroom provided more comfortable seating than the standard wooden chair. The shower was a stall, with a small bench. The room was clean. Plenty of restaurants in the area, Buccees across the street with Tanger Outlet Mall not too much further away. Hotel had a pool, though I don't know if it was open or not.

There is no coffee in the room and no breakfast offered. I didn't read the fine print before booking. I'm sure it wouldn't have mattered. I guess I assumed that all hotels had coffee in the room now. My biggest complaint with all hotels, no matter how much they cost is the terrible toilet paper. Its jut about useless

Why no coffee pots in rooms anymore? Other than that ok

The only thing i did not like is is states free continental breakfast and norhing was offered

I stayed there for the first time and it was very clean ,the staff was very nice ,I had many inconveniences at the airport and they have very good communication and made sure they gave me my bags the airport delivered there .I wish it was more pillows but I would go back again ,There isn’t any free breakfast though or fridge in room
