Super 8 by Wyndham Goldsboro

The stair well and corners smelled like urine. Rooms were in disrepair. Parking area had large potholes Room has mini freezer in it not a fridge. not enough wall sockets to plug lights, fridge, microwave, or alarm clock in so everything was unplugged in room. Wall had paint peeling and drooping from past flooding. Lawn had cigarette butts all over place. .

Staff was super friendly and understanding however the amount of actual criminals and residents living in the motel made it very uncomfortable to leave the room. I visited the pool on the 2nd day and only spent 15 minutes before realizing I had about 10-15 people staring at me from their rooms or the ledge. There was an overwhelming amount of times I heard police actually chasing people around the building, I even witnessed one man being tackled down directly in front of my room and I had to wait till they got him in handcuffs and walked away before I could get in my room and double lock the door. Going outside to smoke a cigarette as a female and being bum rushed by at least 3-4 grown men asking for a cigarette or even hanging out next to me to ask for half of the one I was currently smoking added to the uncomfort levels.

cheap place to sleep and that’s it. No toiletries, stains on bedsheets, had to lay down our own bedding. Music and kids yelling playing till 3am (don’t mind kids playing personally, it made me feel safer as a woman, just a warning to anyone who books), “breakfast” was a bowl of granola bars and some coffee and juice, pool permanently closed and found out after booking. Nowhere on the site says it’s closed, and a pool was partially the reason we booked. Fine enough just to sleep in for cheapish and last minute.

Hotel was filthy and unsafe. Knife holes in ceiling. Homeless sleeping lobby. Mold. Light hanging out of pool. Drug dealers outside.

I didn't feel safe. There were people out and about in the courtyard through out the night and they were loud. The pool was green.

This property is disgusting. The room we were given was beyond nasty. When we opened the door, we were immediately hit in the face with a foul odor. The floors were sticky. There was an inch gap at the bottom of the door, which would give bugs , mice, and snakes open access to the room. The baseboards were covered with just nastiness and hair. We left as fast as we possibly could.

The whole experience was absolutely terrible. When walking into the hotel room, it is hotter then hell, you have to turn the AC on and it took nearly the entire stay before it would get cool. It was dusty and uncomfortable. The property loses my booking that I booked in advance and the $25 for the security deposit they never refunded. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in a lot of them. The stairs were unsafe as they were falling apart. There is nothing good I can say about this place. If I could have put no stars I would have. I checked out early and stayed with relatives because it was so uncomfortable. The power even goes out during a storm making it worse. I would only recommend this place to my worst enemy. Do not stay here unless you want to sit in a room that is nothing but a sweat box and be guaranteed a bad experience. I would shut this place down and/or fire the management.

DO NOT! DO NOT STAY! The pictures are lies. The property looks like a crack motel. The pool was taped off like a crime scene. We got in our room and there was a dead roach to greet us. The toilet from the room above has the water running. We left after 10 minutes! Hotels.com should not have this place listed. I returned the room key and was told a refund would be issued, waiting for water in the desert is my expectations.

This hotel was filthy. The stairwell smelled of urine. There appeared to be several quests who were there long term who stayed up making noise until about 2 am.

Service was excellent. Cleanliness was as good as they could make it under the circumstances. The building is falling apart. I felt very unsafe in the area and on the property. Non smoking rooms smelt like smoke, furniture was cheap.

This was the dirtiest ,unclean room bed bugs , never been sweep or bath room cleaned .The camode was about to come out of wall .Smelled like pee and smoke .Do not stay here it was very nasty and noisey.

Reviews that list this hotel as excellent are fake. Night staff was very good, but room was VERY poor. 1 single paper cup to drink from. Not even a clothes rod to hang towels on??. Bad rust stains in bathroom, shower caulking falling out. Red Spilled paint drops all over floor. Walls need paint badly. Linen was dirty.....the free "Breakfast"...a cruel joke.....orange juice, 50 cent breakfast bar, or a dismal apple or banana.

Wouldn't recommend to any one. Room was a no smoking 🚭 and it stunk of cigarettes and drapes were nicotine stained and spelled. Started haveing respiratory problems during the night and had to use rescue inhaler. This morning pulled chair out to set on and wall was conered in black mold. Found mold throughout the room. Toliet didn't work to flush.Went down for continental breakfast and all they had was juice and coffee.

Location was convenient. AC worked and good hot water&pressure. Stained bedding, towels, & sheets. Overall, property was outdated and run down.

I was put in the first room and the curtains were torn up like a dog had a go at them. Then I was put in a different room and the floors were filthy and coming up like they weren't glued down and warped. The shower had blood on one corner and hair in the bottom of the tub. There was no tub stopper and the metal price on the back of the tub that is used for overfill drainage was hanging on by 1 screw. The toilet had pee and poop on the under side of the toilet seat the back of the bathroom door had paint peeling off from what looked like dog scratches there was a half smoked weed blunt on the floor the sheets were completely stained all over and the blanket on top of the sheets were full of cigarette holes. I removed all the bedding and pillows went and bought cleaning supplies and Lysol to clean the entire room and to disinfect the bed and all other areas. I paid for a 2 night stay and on the 2nd day while we were out eating housekeeping came into our room took the towels and rags Sheets blanket and 1 bag of trash and only replaced the 2 towels. On the second night a really bad storm came through and our room started having water come in through the crack under the door and we had to use our shower towels to keep the floor from flooding. The ac was set on 62 and it never got below 74 in the room. i do not recommend staying at this hotel for any length of time. Absolutely terrible experience.

Just a disgusting hotel. First room wasn’t cleaned, at all. 2nd room smelled of cigarettes, burn holes in the sheets, shower was filthy, people followed me to my room and watched me. Absolutely worst hotel I’ve been to. Left 2 hours after I arrived and went elsewhere.

Everything on this hotel is wrong! Dont stay here unless you are homeless:( smelled like cigarettes, weed, roaches, old shower la, holes in the bath. Blanket. Everything is just nasty!

The bed sheets had shoe prints on them . The bottom sheet had all sorts of stains. The towels were so stained with rust and grease an we didn’t know if they were dirty or clean it was gross! The bathroom fixture was exposed when showering and when all of these points were brought up to the front desk… it seemed like it was an inconvenience and they wanted me to go away

The staff are friendly and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is even decent considering the price. My concern is the cleanliness. I had an off duty worker reclean my bathroom, after i rewiped it down. The bathroom and sink area were filthy! Boogers on the mirrors and all of the walls, human diarrhea all over tha bathroom floor, side of the toilet, and side of the bathtub. I wiped the floor before i knew what it was and almost vomited! The cloth i used was black with dirt and orange with human feces. The off duty girl was not the one in charge of cleaning that room but was kind enough to reclean it. I was still uneasy. I was offered another room but honestly, was afraid of another room and just wanted to sleep and leave. The entire place needs redone! There are unused rooms full of stuff and the currains are open so guests can see the mess. Theres potential with a complete overhaul and a reevaluation of the staff to find the ones who are willing to care enough to clean the place properly and let go of the ones who can overlook the clearly disgusting mess of a room i walked into, with my children no less!

It was a bad omen when the large, heavy picture over the headboard fell onto the bed. My TV had no sound and there was no place to hang anything except a door knob and the shower curtain rod. I do believe they are readying for some remodeling. Ashley at the front desk was an angel. They are also pet friendly.

Receptionists we’re both friendly and provided excellent customer service. The rooms however were not as expected. I’m guessing this hotel is bring renovated? The outside looked horrible. Rooms not cleaned - toilet bowl had rings on the inside, outside pedestal was stained. Floors looked like they were not mopped. No racks or hooks of any kind for clothing or towels. When you sit on the toilet and got up the bowl hit the wall. Very disappointed based on the reviews I saw which made me choose this hotel and past stays at other Super 8. I only wanted 1 night and the bed was comfortable enough. The linen was not the best but it was clean. Will definitely think twice before staying at any Super 8 for sure

No remote for TV. Didn't get one til late first night. Towels look as if they cleaned up a spill before washing. Roaches in bathroom. Refrigerator did not work. They worked to fix problems, but it was like they had to rob things from other roomsjust to make one complete room.

Won't ever stay here again. Loud people in the middle of the night, not well made bed, air conditioner worked.

TV didn’t work. 1/8 toll of toilet paper. No top sheet only bottom. Neighbors screamed and cursed from 2am to 6am. But the bed was comfortable!! Overall not a pleasant experience!!

Arrived at property, well I paid for 2 king single rooms. they sold the rooms I paid for, so they gave me a "free upgrade" this free upgrade consisted of room with no sheets only a blanket. ok, pull the blanket back and it was VERY OBVIOUS SOMEONE HAD ALREADY SLEPT THERE, I go to take a shower, well NO TOWELS OR WASH CLOTHS, go to the front desk, to get this corrected, I'm then told I don't need to be so grumpy! because its not HIS fault. the Finally give me another "upgraded" room. I get to this room. again NO wash cloths. so I used a towel for a wash cloth (I guess that's an upgrade. a giant washcloth?) go to get into bed. so I pull back the blanket and well junk all over the bottom sheet and no top sheet. I decided to just sleep on top of the blanket, check the AC its set to 61 Deg. ok good. well I'm waking up all night sweating. another "upgrade" I guess, the entire room is a sauna. No more towels because I had to use one as a washrag so now I get to smell like sweat all day. Thanks for the upgrades guys

Got into my room and pulled the sheets back. On one side of the bed, the sheets looked dirty, the other side looked fine (king size bed room). The next morning their breakfast bar was very limited on food selection. The a/c barely worked to keep the room cool, even on its auto function.

I didn't like the fact that the room was hot and was told that it was because it was hot outside. After hours the room still didn't cool down

I paid for my hotel in advance and they charged me $89.70 and $25 that still hasn't been refunded.

For the price, it suites my need. Staff is great Could be better kept up, and cleaned, but like I said, it suites my need.

Checkin was easy, the clerk was super nice and helpful. After that it went downhill. The room had been smoked in, the shower had hair on the walls, a bug was spotted in the bathroom, the remote had no batteries. Breakfast consisted of waffles, fruit and granola bars. With the riff raff that was staying there we not comfortable eating the fruit.

Mold on the ceiling, Roaches crawling out of the drain in the bathtub, & cookies for breakfast. I stay at a lot of places, and this was an overall awful experience. Front desk ladies were the only bright spot.

Breakfast milk often not available coffee runs out not enough made.

The free breakfast was nutragrain bars. The juice machine was filled with water. The coffee was so old that when I looked at the filter there was mold inside. I’ve stayed in some cheap crappy hotels in my lifetime and this was one of the worst.

Loud, stained bedding, bugs, things left in mini fridge from previous customers, “continental breakfast” was breakfast bars and apples. Spend the extra and go somewhere else.

Staff was very pleasant and accommodations were excellent. Love the breakfast too!
