Be ready to pay $17 a night for parking. Very spacious and clean room. We had a king room with a pullout couch. Everything was exceptional. Warm breakfast in the morning. Eggs sausage yogurt fruit, apple and orange juice, coffee and teas, bread and bagels. Fantastic service and very friendly. Great location by the arboretum. Walk the coast redwood pathway right from your hotel.

AC was extremely noisy and turned itself on at will, although I had turned it off on the wall. So did TV. Wifi was poor and unreliable. Gym was crammed. Otherwise all fine, and good service overall.

Disappointed as main reason to stay here was that the website says they had a restaurant on site, they don’t. Breakfast is OK. Noisy night as my room faced railroad tracks. Hotel is pet “friendly” but they do charge $50.00.

The rooms were odd, bathroom sinks directly across from the beds so if you needed to use them or the bathroom at night it’d wake everyone up. The floor in the hallway looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed all year. The elevator and ice machine broke during our two nights there. I had to get several new key cards as they didn’t work. The pool is small like half of a normal pool. in a good location tho.

Very close to UC Davis, outside dinning and the arboretum. Did not like the fact the hotel listed a restaurant, which they do not have and the fact housekeeping never serviced teh rooms in our stay. One of our party had garbage cans overflowing and another room ran out of clean towels before we left. Also, the deadbolt on one room kept re-engaging as it closed when leaving the room, so the door was locked open. Not a big deal as long are you remember to check, but when it was reported to the front desk it became obvious that the young man at the counter was not a good fit for working with the public. These days there are quite a lot of videos available online that would help him hide outward signs of contempt.

For some reason, they couldn’t find our reservation, but when they finally did, we had to wait to get a room even though we had checked in online hours prior. I paid a lot of money for this room and it was dirty. There were disgusting stains on the carpet and hair on the bathroom floor. There was no shower gel in the shower. The container was empty and there was no soap by the sink. The refrigerator in the room made a high-pitched whiny sound that made it impossible to sleep through. At my request, the staff did shut off the refrigerator. This hotel is not worth the money and not up to the standard of the Hyatt name.

There were several holes in the curtains. There were moths in there. The bed sheets were wrinkled. The water in the sink didn't drain well and kept pooling up, so it took a long time to drain. The toilet seat was dirty.

Room was not clean. Pulled out the sofa bed and could use it due to food crumbs on it. Shower tub didnt drain, and restroom floor tiles were cracked causing the grout to chip and lift. The room had no ventilation, it smelled bad. Mentioned it all at check out and was given points to my account to redeem for snacks or a future vosit.

Don’t stay in the rooms that are in the front. There is a rail road track and it’s impossible to sleep. Joesph was so nice he went above and beyond to change our room. Only issue was the second room was facing a wall but quiet.

Decent free breakfast and hot drink options. The rooms are spacious and having a large sofa sleeper is a great addition when traveling as a family. Will stay again, because of the convenience to UC Davis campus.

Property is in a safe walkable location to dining options downtown Davis. The hotel is clean and comfortable however is showing many signs of wear. My room had a severely damaged picture hung on the wall (it needs to be replaced). A bit surprised at the parking fee add on, did not know there was a fee at booking. Amtrak nearby will keep you up at night.

pros: close to Davis campus . cons: facility is a bot outdated ,the walls don't do much to block noise from the other rooms, I could hear people walking , moving around , and the sound of plumbing ,which made it hard to have a good sleep.

The staff was just okay. The person that checked us in was friendly and efficient. But the lady that checked us out was rather rude. She saw me waiting at the front desk, but just ignored me and continued to wipe the table in the breakfast area. She could have acknowledged me and let me know that she’d be there soon. I didn’t mind waiting, but it was the fact that she didn’t even say anything to me even after we made eye contact. The hotel and room were clean enough, but not exceptionally clean. The white blankets both had some stains on them. The beds were comfortable but the AC unit was unpredictable. The old thermostat said Error so we knew we had to control it from the unit in front of the window. It got so cold in the room, we had to turn it off. But the room continued to be very cold. And there was a draft coming from the area with the couch. The free breakfast was mediocre. Nothing stood out. The only really nice thing about the hotel was the location. Being a 3 minute walk from UC Davis’ Welcome Center made it so convenient. I would stay here again if I needed to visit a student at UC Davis.

The train coming through every night multiple times. I would not have paid the price I did for the hotel for that location. I know you can’t control the train but don’t put a hotel across the street from it. Almost left the next day. I wish the reviews had stayed it.

Room is very spacious. There’s a lounge area with a big couch. Big grass area and trails in the back for your pets. Could use bigger pillows. There was a stain on the floor, otherwise the room was clean. Also, the WiFi stopped working the next day. You also have to pay $17/day for parking which is a little high compared to other hotels.

Unfortunately, there were a few problems I encountered: 1. The breakfast is no longer good. The hard boiled eggs and cream cheese were frozen and not edible. No warm cereals. 2. The time before last that I stayed there I literally waited about 4 min for the girl at the desk to acknowledge me to try to check in, she never did, the manager happened to come in and help me. Not good at all. I will be looking for a new place to stay when I come to visit my son.

The bed was high and so comfortable! The people working there are so helpful and friendly. The first day I asked if there was hot chocolate . I was told no but I can make you one with chocolate syrup that we have. So sweet she made me one and was so nice. I didn’t get her name. She was blonde with medium length hair. The next day I asked again if you have hot chocolate a staff member made me a hot chocolate She is a senior at UC Davis. Outstanding, courteous, and thoughtful Staff. It was a very enjoyable stay!!!! A microwave oven would have useful.

Carpet in our room had a couple of unattractive spots (ink or dye?), but other than that room was very well maintained. Beds were impeccably clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety of food options, even for dairy-free and gluten-free eating. As a former long-term Davis resident, I found the idea of charging $17/night for parking quite offensive, but employee resolved that issue for me.

The staff was just okay. The person that checked us in was friendly and efficient. But the lady that checked us out was rather rude. She saw me waiting at the front desk, but just ignored me and continued to wipe the table in the breakfast area. She could have acknowledged me and let me know that she’d be there soon. I didn’t mind waiting, but it was the fact that she didn’t even say anything to me even after we made eye contact. The hotel and room were clean enough, but not exceptionally clean. The white blankets both had some stains on them. The beds were comfortable but the AC unit was unpredictable. The old thermostat said Error so we knew we had to control it from the unit in front of the window. It got so cold in the room, we had to turn it off. But the room continued to be very cold. And there was a draft coming from the area with the couch. The free breakfast was mediocre. Nothing stood out. The only really nice thing about the hotel was the location. Being a 3 minute walk from UC Davis’ Welcome Center made it so convenient. I would stay here again if I needed to visit a student at UC Davis.

It's in a convenient location with easy parking. Most of the staff are nice and friendly, except one in the front office. She still did her job, but she could be friendlier to customers, and I'm not a demanding one. I'll go back there because my grandson goes to UC Davis.

The woman who checked us in was great. However, they ran out of water in the lobby by 9pm and never refilled, not even by the time we left in the morning. Not even after I asked for it to be refilled. They also ran out of coffee before we left at 6:20am. The bagels weren't cut and there was no cream cheese. They do not seem set up to handle early mornings.

The room I ordered online was not available so they upgraded me to a suite and I only paid $40 more and I got free parking for our inconvenience which we didn’t ask for. Super nice and understanding staff. I would recommend this to family and friends

No one at the front desk when we arrived. Hotel is near train tracks and train noise may be an issue for some guests. Breakfast service was poor - lack of utensils, poorly stocked food. Hotel is essentially on UC Davis campus so very convenient for university related activities.

It’s a convenient location if you are visiting UC Davis since it is right on campus. They charge extra for parking, which was not clear when you book the reservation. Breakfast buffet was just ok. I would only stay there again because of the location. I did not think the quality of the hotel justified the price.

The train coming through every night multiple times. I would not have paid the price I did for the hotel for that location. I know you can’t control the train but don’t put a hotel across the street from it. Almost left the next day. I wish the reviews had stayed it.

We could walk to UC Davis, my granddaughter is starting there this fall and it was very easy to get to her dorm. It was very convenient to stay at this clean and safe hotel.

Convenient location right on campus. However, charging additional for parking is unacceptable. It is a suburban location with ample space and it should be assumed that most guests will have vehicles. Staff was friendly but they were constantly running around trying to make things right. Breakfasts were real disappointing. Had to constantly ask for simple basic Breakfast items like butter, bread, milk and... trash bins were filled with garbage. Tables were dirty and nobody seemed care to clean the common breakast serving tables. Eggs, sausages, friuts you name it was on the floor ... looked like a messy dog had feasted there and left. Disappointing experience.

I have been at this Hyatt a month ago and here it is the reason why I am giving average and not 5 as previously: 1/ fee for parking; 2/ at arrival (Sat evening), there were empty cups and chip bags on tables/floor by the door' 3/breakfast time: there was no staff attending the breakfast area (bin for collecting used dishes was full and almost no space to put glasses; spill of milk on the floor, etc.). I was a bit disappointed as we always try to stay on Hyatt hotels.

The room was nice but it had a stinky smell. I sprayed some lysol in my room, but when that didn’t help I called downstsirs to see if they would put me in another room since I was there for 3 nights. They told me they were full and there were no other rooms. They said they would tell the maid in the morning. It still smelled the second day and finally by the 3rd day it was beter. Don’t think I will stay there again.
