Excelente hotel!

The staff have become incredibly rude and unhelpful

Very modern and clean hotel

Do not book this resort if you are expecting a five-star or VIP experience. Pools are not heated, which made them unusable during colder weather, including the swim-up room we paid extra for. The jacuzzis were barely warm and not enjoyable. Service was extremely inconsistent, with long waits at restaurants and little acknowledgment from staff. This is also NOT a couples-friendly resort. It is heavily focused on families, with very limited adults-only areas. The room walls are paper thin, and hallway noise from children running, yelling, and crying starts early in the morning. Even the “romantic” wine cellar dinner was loud, crowded with families, and far from intimate. We are Expedia Gold members and specifically chose this hotel because it is listed as a VIP property. No upgrade was offered despite room availability, and the only VIP benefit was a 20% spa discount. Other VIP hotels typically provide welcome amenities or personalized recognition, which was completely missing here. The property looks beautiful in photos, but the service, comfort, and overall experience do not match five-star or VIP expectations. Travelers looking for luxury, relaxation, or a romantic stay should strongly consider other options.

El hotel físicamente es muy bonito y destaca por su limpieza, pero mi experiencia fue decepcionante debido a un trato desigual e inaceptable. Aunque parte del personal es amable, existe una marcada preferencia hacia los huéspedes extranjeros, a quienes se les tolera un comportamiento prepotente y grosero, mientras que a nosotros, como mexicanos, se nos relegó. Lo más grave fue la exclusión en los centros de consumo. En varias ocasiones se nos negó la entrada a restaurantes con mentiras, afirmando que no habían abierto o que ya estaban cerrados, cuando era evidente que no era cierto. Incluso, el personal llegó al extremo de señalarnos directamente qué lugares debíamos usar con frases como: “A ustedes les corresponde aquel restaurante”, una actitud de segregación que no tiene cabida en un hotel que presume ser de lujo. Es indignante que en nuestro propio país, un hotel de la categoría de SLS Playa Mujeres permita este tipo de racismo sistémico y falta de equidad. Si eres mexicano, prepárate para recibir un servicio de segunda frente a extranjeros a quienes no se les pone ningún límite.
