Hotel Casa Sun and Moon

loved the location of the property and the view from the pool

Good beachfront location. Simple rooms, clean. Helpful and friendly staff. Great pool with fantastic view. Recommend

Location right on beach and overlooking beach and town. Pool was clean and very comfortable temperature to swim in. Secure gated parking was available across the street at the reception area of the Casa's sister hotel where clients check in. Room size was large, bed comfort was similar to other Mexican hotels. Easy walk to numerous restaurants including Lety's. Would return. Great value.

There was NO hot water any time of day. Talked to others who had been there many times and never any hot water. This a deal breaker for me! I had a Master Suite room 23. This seemed to be the least spacious Master suite available. I would not book the Master Suite again but rather the cheaper suite without hot tub but with indoor kitchen and separate bedroom. The hotel is older and could use some TLC but I did not find this a problem. Pros - The pool was great, warm with a nice view of the beach and sea. The A/C worked well. The breakfast was good. Gates off the street and beach access were locked so no one could just wander in. Felt safe. Lot of repeat visitors and everyone friendly. Large outside common areas with seating and beach and sea views. Summary: If there was hot water I would definitely return to this hotel.

Room was musty and bed was like a rock and pillows were musty. Floor was not clean our feet were always dirty. Nice pool but no space for chairs and umbrellas.

Such a beautiful hotel! The landscaping, the view, the colors and all the sun and moon detailing made this a stay to remember. Easy access to the beach and boardwalk was the cherry on top.

Unobstructed beach view. Easy access to the beach. Easy walk to many restaurants. The breakfast restaurant across the street is delicious. Very friendly and very helpful staff. I will definitely stay here next time I travel to Zihuatanejo

Las fotos son engañosas, las habitaciones son bastante viejas, las camas rechinan cada que te mueves. Me tocó la habitación 1 y 4, la 1 es peor que la 4 jaja no sé si las demás estén en mejores condiciones. Sin embargo el personal es muy amable, todo está muy limpio y es agradable para descansar. La alberca está limpia, el aire acondicionado sirve y tienen refrigerador, aparte de tener una cocineta para los huéspedes y utencilios de cocina que pueden usar todos. Lo malo es que la entrada es hasta las 3 y si llegas antes tienes que dejar las maletas en recepción. Tienen un gatito hermoso y los demás huéspedes extranjeros son muy agradables :)

All in all we had a good experience at casa Sun and moon. The location was great, small staircase down to the beach, and lots of restaurants within 3-4 blocks. The hotel was nice and quiet, spent lots of time reading books by the pool. Pool was nice, had a great view of the ocean but there was a couple spots where tiles were broken off (not a huge deal). Our only issue was with the room they put us in when we got there. I booked a suite with kitchenette and the room we got felt like we were in the basement in this dungeon feeling type of space. My anxiety was through the roof, we talked with reception about it and they didn’t have any other rooms available until the next day. So they did move us the next day, to a suite that was exactly what the pictures from my booking showed, which was great but they didn’t give us anything back for that first night or offer us anything for our trouble. If you book here and booked one of the suites don’t let them put you into suite 00 you will be disappointed big time. Ask for 10, 20, or 30. 20 and 30 have the best views. We got suite 30, the view was awesome, the AC worked great, bathroom was useable lol, the furniture was rickety but functional, questionable electrical wiring, but all in all good. I would definitely go back to this hotel as long as I know exactly what room I’m getting. Also the staff did not reply to a single message sent to them on hotels.com app, I had to email the hotel directly to get any type of communication.

I will NEVER stay here again. The hotel is so run down that I don't know where to start. Mold on the ceiling, cracks in the wall, holes filled with cement on the floor, shades that were cracking and broken, electrical conduit running through the shower, rusted towel bars. pool tiles missing. It looked nothing like the photos on the internet! And all this for $271 a night! The only positive I can give it is a convenient location.

We just one night as we’re you were passing thru . We didn’t expect fancy but the room has very run down …. Peeling paint , window that wouldn’t close properly , cold shower , old bed and bedding, limited towels ,The staff was kind and helpful but the conditions of the property were rough . That being said, the view of Madera beach , as always, is breathtaking .

I was here for over two weeks. Lots of empty promises from manager. No hot water for two weeks. No English at all on tv. That was bearable but no hot water sucked. Sketchy wifi Staff was good but over priced for what it is

Spacious room,HVAC was cold all the time.

The view from my room was spectacular . The bed was a little hard and pillow flat but oterwise everything was perfect. We had to transfer room the day before we were leaving, which was a bit annoying, but otherwise this place was really great.

Casa Sun and Moon is a very nice property. It’s in my favorite area to stay, very convenient. The staff that manages the hotel are very friendly and helpful. It should be noted that the double rooms all share a common balcony and the king suite only has a tiny balcony big enough for a chair. I don’t think that is clear on the website. The rooms are very comfortable (the beds here are always hard). Bonus- the shower is great!!! I would definitely stay here again.

Hermoso solo no hay internet

Everything was great except the sheets no the bed were uncomfortable. Other than that, the property and room was fantastic. Lovely place , would stay again.

This is a great property. Great service, location and pool. This is our 3rd rime here. Sadly, probably our last. The beds are terrible and wifi in rooms is also bad. Other than that Casa Sun & Moon is great

Muy tranquilo, agradable y limpio. La logística es media compleja al inicio ya que la recepción está en otro hotel, al igual que el restaurante, aunque es frente a la casa sun and moon, siempre si hay que estár de un lado al otro para solicitar algo adicional. Pero muy agusto la estancia.

The property is a little old needs a lot off maintenance and staff are not really nice and bad communication not really cooperative they not offer any solutions they just talk you no and really basic things like a extra towels you have to wait until next day to be able too give a towels is crazy

Needs a Reno but we only planned on a 1week stay and stayed nearly 3. The location is the top reason we enjoyed our stay. The proximity to the beach is great. The hills are a workout but worth the effort. We felt very safe even walking at night.

Fue una estancia agradable, sin embargo hay cosas en las que sí deberían mejorar. Por ahí había leído otro comentario acerca de las camas, y en efecto, hacen muchísimo ruido y no son muy cómodas. El internet no llega para nada bien al menos en la primera habitación. No hay agua caliente, aunque bueno, no es muy necesaria. La caja fuerte sin servir, sin baterías. Un plus es que hay refrigerador en la habitación para que puedas guardar bebidas y comida, además hay cocineta afuera por si quieres prepararte algo, pero con costo por usarla. A las instalaciones les hace falta un poco de mantenimiento. La vista es increíble, y la alberca bastante bonita aunque pequeña. El acceso a la playa nada increíble, al lado está el acceso público. El personal muy amable todo el tiempo. El restaurante está bonito y sirven buena comida y a buen precio, aunque solo para desayuno.
