What an amazing experience. The property is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The access to Punta Mosquito is awesome. The staff is friendly, lively and welcoming. We had an amazing couples massage with the sound of the ocean and birds singing. Highly recommended. Shout out to the whole staff at Las Nubes. You all made our stay perfect.

Amazing position, quiet and beautifully views. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean but run down, tiles missing, tap not working( but two sinks so not a problem) rusting around the units. Also could have done with a few more hooks to hang towels. Pools were well maintained and the breakfast was delicious. We throughly enjoyed our stay, meeting all the wildlife ! Note the hotel is walking distance from the town but it’s hot and walking for 20 minutes it’s hard work so expect to take taxis.

The property is far from town, so the taxi cost added up. The beach was ok but not as good as the hotels closer to town. The massages by Denise and Jesus were the very best ever

Nos gusto la lejania de todo y lo aislado. La limpieza del cuarto. Lo que no nos giusto. No habia personal. No habia chef. Se les fue y el.desatuno era miy bueno, pero ya no. Ya solo es un buffet salado y sin opciones, Hubo una gotera. Se acabo el agua y no habia personal para ayudar. Les falta mucho mantenimiento. Ya no dan bicis y tampoco kayac. El precio yars alto para lo que ofrecen. Ya no son un buen hotel. Ya esta abandonado. Ojala lo arreglen para volver

0/10 stars if I could. The hotels was under construction but that’s not advertised anywhere. 2 of the 3 pools were closed the entire time. All we heard all day was hammering and jackhammers. The lights kept going off. The spa services advertised are not actually offered on site. Don’t even get me started on the service. 45 minutes to make eggs and bacon. An hour to make cheese fries and they were still raw. I complained and the manager didn’t even acknowledge us the following day. Would never recommend this place.

Trying to be fair, but this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Las Nubes de Holbox is old, dirty, and seriously understaffed. The photos on their website are extremely misleading, clearly taken many years ago. The hotel no longer looks anything like what is advertised. Their so-called beach club is not actually on the beach. You have to cross a swampy puddle that smells terrible and is full of mosquitoes. After that, you reach a rocky shore that has nothing to do with the stunning beaches Holbox is known for. I’ll leave photos for reference. What they call a beach club is just a few old, rusted, and filthy beds. Again, photos will speak for themselves. The room I was given looked nothing like the photos either. I found a giant scorpion inside my shoe and it almost stung me twice. I went to the front desk for help, not even knowing if I had been stung, and they had no emergency kit. Not even the basics. No one apologized or showed any concern. I understand we’re in the jungle, but the scorpion was in the room because clearly the space is not well maintained. The room was old, dusty, and forgotten, which is likely why the scorpion was even there. The next day, after all that, they just offered to switch my room and gave me a welcome cocktail as an apology. (Lol). There is not enough staff in this hotel. You always have to wait a long time at the restaurant, and service in general is very slow. The included breakfast is a joke. It’s eggs every day, tasteless eggs.

I would not recommend this hotel due to the following reasons: 1. Access to the ocean was blocked and the decks were non usable and non accessible due to construction. Not what was advertised and no prior notification. 2. There was no hot water in the room and difficult to shower my twin daughters. 3. Windows not working, When it rained the water would come in. 4. They used the ocean to fill the pool water. 5. The worst part was when they told us to pack our stuff on our last day supposedly due to bad weather but they had no other rooms to accommodate my family but checking in more guest as they escorted us out and sent us to a one star hotel where the shower and toilet where clogged. Also as they wanted us to leave they wanted us to pay them for drinks they had not served us. They removed the beds and furniture and said no matter what we couldn’t stay there. It was the worst experience that I have ever experienced in any hotels in my life and the worst part was that I was with my family and my small twin daughters. We asked the manager Lorena to refund us our money back for the night we were not staying there and she refused. Instead kept asking the other hotel to request that we return the plastic bag. Las nubes has breathtaking views of Holbox! We absolutely loved everything about our time here. We really enjoyed the breakfast (although the friendly/hungry iguanas were an unexpected surprise)! The hotel provided bikes that we used most days to explore the beautiful town and eat/drink at different locations. Staff were super friendly and service was excellent. The day club was amazing! Love that they played Mexican music when we requested it. The ocean near the hotel was calm and relaxing! Our room had the most incredible views! Can’t wait to come back!!!! I’d recommend this place 10/10!

La habitación y el hotel estuvieron increíbles, fue con vista al mar, aparte de estar limpia el como está acomodada y decorada hizo de nuestra estancia algo maravilloso. El personal es súper amable: Lenny, Alexis, Ángel y demás personal muy atentos a lo que necesites, felicidades por tan excelente personal. El desayuno se agradece, muy completo y rico, con una vista espectacular. Definitivamente volveremos a este hotel.

Our room was average and unfortunately we had a lot of cockroaches in our room. They are short on cleaning staff; the restrooms in the public areas are always in need of cleaning. The staff in the restaurant and spa are extremely friendly and helpful. We picked this property because it is just outside the most visited area in Holbox which is amazingly beautiful.

Me he quedado en este hotel 4 veces, 3 en la Suite Las Hamacas y esta es la 1a vez que me quedo en la Suite Del Mar (28) y tuve una mala experiencia desde mi llegada: edredón y sábanas sucias, no dejaron cápsulas para café, no salía agua caliente ni había presión de agua en la regadera. Fueron lo “arreglaron” y a los 2 días pasó de nuevo, bañándome con agua fría y un chorrillo de agua. Luego una noche no había agua ni para bajarle al baño. Q la empresa no había llenado la cisterna. Lo resolvieron a la 1 am Un día pedí un taxi y quedaron de avisarme, pasaron 30 min y nada, obviamente me fui, y “Alexis” me dijo después q lo tenía q pagar, q estaba atendiendo otros clientes y por eso no me avisó, me dijo q eran 200 cuando siempre pagaba 150 y cuando le digo q porqué si siempre pago 150 me dice: “bueno pague $150” (lo tengo x escrito en WhatsApp). No lo pagué porque no fue mi error… El restaurante: la comida es buena, servicio lento, café frío (aún pidiendo el capuchino q no está incluido en el desayuno). Hubo más detalles,.. pero se alargaría muchísimo más… LO BUENO:: una chica nueva llamada “LENNY” con una excelente disposición para ayudar y muy buena actitud, apoyándonos y al pendiente. Ella resolvió lo de la falta de agua buscando al vigilante aún y cuando no le correspondía. Sentimientos encontrados, no sé si regresaría al hotel, quizás solo por la buena ubicación y playa q tiene, por LENNY y siempre y cuando sea otra Suite.

El primer día nos salió un alacrán por el lavabo, nunca hubo agua caliente constante, la habitación alejada de la playa. En definitiva no vale la pena por el precio que se pago. No lo recomiendo.

Lenny, the restaurant manager, greeted us the first night upon arrival and made sure to leave her number in case we needed anything. The included breakfast was always delicious. Oswaldo was there every morning to greet us with coffee and pastries and fruit and a mini Spanish lesson. Dinners are not included by were still very good. Room was clean. Beach was clean. We only went to the beach club one time. It was ok. Drinks were pretty weak. But the view and everything was perfect. I just wish it would have quit raining and that the downtown area was not mud puddles but I can't blame that on the hotel.
Lenny, the restaurant manager, greeted us the first night upon arrival and made sure to leave her number in case we needed anything. The included breakfast was always delicious. Oswaldo was there every morning to greet us with coffee and pastries and fruit and a mini Spanish lesson. Dinners are not included by were still very good. Room was clean. Beach was clean. We only went to the beach club one time. It was ok. Drinks were pretty weak. But the view and everything was perfect. I just wish it would have quit raining and that the downtown area was not mud puddles but I can't blame that on the hotel.

Falta limpieza en habitaciones y en general el hotel está muy descuidado en limpieza y mantenimiento, poco personal y el que había con pésima actitud, servicio de restaurante muy lento y con mal servicio, la única que merece reconocimiento por actitud de servicio y amabilidad es Lenny la responsable de restaurante en la tarde. Falta supervisión o cambio de administración.

So the location and the closeness to the ocean was fantastic. The service was OK - the facility is clearly old and not well maintained. The cleaning group left our room unlocked after they left one day, and some items were "missing". We asked them to not clean for remainder of the trip. large gap between the door and the floor allowed bugs to come in.

Amazing position, quiet and beautifully views. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean but run down, tiles missing, tap not working( but two sinks so not a problem) rusting around the units. Also could have done with a few more hooks to hang towels. Pools were well maintained and the breakfast was delicious. We throughly enjoyed our stay, meeting all the wildlife ! Note the hotel is walking distance from the town but it’s hot and walking for 20 minutes it’s hard work so expect to take taxis.

Las Nubes hotel is a 4 star hotel just like casas tortugas… at least 2 of them should be removed. The situation-location of the hotel is PRICELESS the original architecture and construction delightful… (this is why they are still in business) Yet the state of it sad Very cheap sandy rough feeling sheets. We paid extra for the hidrojet tub that wasn’t functioning - regardless we soak in the ocean front tub everyday it was fantastic it could have been wonderful!- The bubbles liquid soap was rancid and when I asked for a new one there answer was “we dont have any more” We ordered room Service and everything came covered in plastic wrap Then the plates staid two full days in our bedroom even though we requested them to be taken away. Included breakfast is what I believe is served in jail… the worst bread, watery sugar “juice” Their “a la carte” menu was OK though. We did enjoy the room service food and their mezcalitas best in town.. we never ate there again. So many wonderful options around the island They have a “beach club” with the must annoying music reggaeton, electronic like cancun party music… all of the guests staying at the same time as we did complained about it. Yet every day the same music for what we ended up spending our beach day at Mawimbi (paradise) Hotel owner! understand this: people going to holbox are looking for SILENCE

La habitación y el hotel estuvieron increíbles, fue con vista al mar, aparte de estar limpia el como está acomodada y decorada hizo de nuestra estancia algo maravilloso. El personal es súper amable: Lenny, Alexis, Ángel y demás personal muy atentos a lo que necesites, felicidades por tan excelente personal. El desayuno se agradece, muy completo y rico, con una vista espectacular. Definitivamente volveremos a este hotel.

Trying to be fair, but this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Las Nubes de Holbox is old, dirty, and seriously understaffed. The photos on their website are extremely misleading, clearly taken many years ago. The hotel no longer looks anything like what is advertised. Their so-called beach club is not actually on the beach. You have to cross a swampy puddle that smells terrible and is full of mosquitoes. After that, you reach a rocky shore that has nothing to do with the stunning beaches Holbox is known for. I’ll leave photos for reference. What they call a beach club is just a few old, rusted, and filthy beds. Again, photos will speak for themselves. The room I was given looked nothing like the photos either. I found a giant scorpion inside my shoe and it almost stung me twice. I went to the front desk for help, not even knowing if I had been stung, and they had no emergency kit. Not even the basics. No one apologized or showed any concern. I understand we’re in the jungle, but the scorpion was in the room because clearly the space is not well maintained. The room was old, dusty, and forgotten, which is likely why the scorpion was even there. The next day, after all that, they just offered to switch my room and gave me a welcome cocktail as an apology. (Lol). There is not enough staff in this hotel. You always have to wait a long time at the restaurant, and service in general is very slow. The included breakfast is a joke. It’s eggs every day, tasteless eggs.

I would not recommend this hotel due to the following reasons: 1. Access to the ocean was blocked and the decks were non usable and non accessible due to construction. Not what was advertised and no prior notification. 2. There was no hot water in the room and difficult to shower my twin daughters. 3. Windows not working, When it rained the water would come in. 4. They used the ocean to fill the pool water. 5. The worst part was when they told us to pack our stuff on our last day supposedly due to bad weather but they had no other rooms to accommodate my family but checking in more guest as they escorted us out and sent us to a one star hotel where the shower and toilet where clogged. Also as they wanted us to leave they wanted us to pay them for drinks they had not served us. They removed the beds and furniture and said no matter what we couldn’t stay there. It was the worst experience that I have ever experienced in any hotels in my life and the worst part was that I was with my family and my small twin daughters. We asked the manager Lorena to refund us our money back for the night we were not staying there and she refused. Instead kept asking the other hotel to request that we return the plastic bag. Todo muy bien, solamente la red de Wifi muy mala, se debe a los repetidores pues hay zonas con buena y otras sin cobertura, lo cual afecta porque en la isla hay mala señal de celular

The hotel was lovely! My husband and I are on our honeymoon and we had the master suite with the hammocks on the balcony - we loved it! My only complain is that the bed & pillows were not comfortable. Bed was hard. Im surprised for how pricey it is to stay here, I wanted a better nights sleep. Overall Hotel is a nice retreat from the noise of the downtown area, it’s definitely further off the beat and path. You need a taxi to get in and out unless you choose to walk the beach into town. It’s doable for sure, about a mile walk thru the ocean is very pleasant.

We loved the Property. Our room was amazing. The food options are limited and the service can be quite slow. Two meals were at the Beach location. Both were great tasting meals. With one, the service was very slow. The other, the service was very fast. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening. The restaurant was very hot, after asking, it took over 20 minutes just to get a glass of water, and the food was overcooked and bland.

Hotel en la playa Mosquito, a partir de este hotel inicia el arenal para caminar. Tambien al ser el último hotel de la zona antes del manglar, hay mucha oportunidad de ver en la mañana las aves y la fauna. La habitación que seleccionamos fue Las Hamacas y esta espectacular. La atencion en el desayuno por parte de Leny y Francisco fue excelente. Muy amables y amenos. Angel en la recepción nos explicó todo muy bien. Muchas gracias al personal, la pasamos increíble.

0/10 stars if I could. The hotels was under construction but that’s not advertised anywhere. 2 of the 3 pools were closed the entire time. All we heard all day was hammering and jackhammers. The lights kept going off. The spa services advertised are not actually offered on site. Don’t even get me started on the service. 45 minutes to make eggs and bacon. An hour to make cheese fries and they were still raw. I complained and the manager didn’t even acknowledge us the following day. Would never recommend this place.

I booked and paid in full a month in advance and arrived to my room being given away to someone else. No other rooms available. I was forced to sleep on a guests sofa. The hotel did nothing to create a solution. I finally got a room after 2 days, and the room was nice and clean, but the biggest issue with this hotel is the incredibly rude and unhelpful staff, Ive never felt so unwelcome at a hotel before, the hotel is tired, lacks amentities, smells terribly of rotting seaweed, and the dining options are limiited. Dont stay here. Many other nicer hotels closer to town that are much nicer.

El servicio está pésimo, La atención es de lo peor el personal allí está muy mal los alimentos están de lo peor y sobre todo caro, llegar al punto de no poder servir el desayuno por falta de gas que coordinación tienen en ese lugar, los chicos de recepción estaban peleando entre ellos el chek in fue súper tarde tardaron mucho en entregar la habitación y al chek out literal nos hecharpn arena en los pies cuando estaban haciendo limpieza. En general es el peor alojamiento que he podido usar las instalaciones están muy viejas todo está mal en ese lugar no se como aún puede existir lástima que tiene una ubicación privilegiada.

Property was clean and slightly dated. The reviews I read said to avoid this hotel because their staff and their attentiveness was lacking. I’m a laid back traveler and just assumed those who wrote those reviews were more high maintenance than me…they were not! Staff is in zero hurry..takes the expression island time to a new level! The beach…mostly the sandbars that came with low tide were stunning though!!

The check-in was supposed to be at 3:00pm, but when I attempted to do the check-in they told me that the check-in was some time after 3:00 could be 3:00 or 4, or some time. Every time when I asked them for an update they looked at me like I was bothering them. When they finally gave me the room at 4:30 we were tired and hungry but the kitchen was closed. They are obviously short of staff. In conclusion, If you are looking for a nice place to relax this not the right place to go to.

Tambien al ser el último hotel de la zona antes del manglar, hay mucha oportunidad de ver en la mañana las aves y la fauna. La habitación que seleccionamos fue Las Hamacas y esta espectacular. La atencion en el desayuno por parte de Leny y Francisco fue excelente. Muy amables y amenos. Angel en la recepción nos explicó todo muy bien. Muchas gracias al personal, la pasamos increíble.

Amazing position, quiet and beautifully views. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean but run down, tiles missing, tap not working( but two sinks so not a problem) rusting around the units. Also could have done with a few more hooks to hang towels. Pools were well maintained and the breakfast was delicious. We throughly enjoyed our stay, meeting all the wildlife ! Note the hotel is walking distance from the town but it’s hot and walking for 20 minutes it’s hard work so expect to take taxis.

El hotel es bonito, buena vista, pero cuando llueve las calles se inundan demasiado, esta en la punta, al final, asi que todo queda retirado, la comida esta bien, posiblemente por baja temporada hay poco staff. Lo mejor la vista y su cercania al.mar, me gusto

Property was clean and slightly dated. The reviews I read said to avoid this hotel because their staff and their attentiveness was lacking. I’m a laid back traveler and just assumed those who wrote those reviews were more high maintenance than me…they were not! Staff is in zero hurry..takes the expression island time to a new level! The beach…mostly the sandbars that came with low tide were stunning though!!

This property is an oasis. It’s so peaceful and quiet and we had the whole pool to ourselves and the sand bar was so easy to get to. Front desk was very accommodating and ordered us a taxi whenever we wanted to go into town or we just walked along the beach

El lugar tiene una vista espectacular, de tu habitación a nadar en mar abierto son 20 pasos. Ningún hotel tiene esta facilidad en Holbox. Te sientes totalmente cerca de la naturaleza.

The hotel was lovely! My husband and I are on our honeymoon and we had the master suite with the hammocks on the balcony - we loved it! My only complain is that the bed & pillows were not comfortable. Bed was hard. Im surprised for how pricey it is to stay here, I wanted a better nights sleep. Overall Hotel is a nice retreat from the noise of the downtown area, it’s definitely further off the beat and path. You need a taxi to get in and out unless you choose to walk the beach into town. It’s doable for sure, about a mile walk thru the ocean is very pleasant.

We loved the Property. Our room was amazing. The food options are limited and the service can be quite slow. Two meals were at the Beach location. Both were great tasting meals. With one, the service was very slow. The other, the service was very fast. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening. The restaurant was very hot, after asking, it took over 20 minutes just to get a glass of water, and the food was overcooked and bland.

This hotel is a 3 star hotel - the 4th star is the location. You’re paying for the view and access to the sea. It’s beautiful and quiet, except near the beach club where the music is loud. However the hotel is let down by the staff and service. I’ve never stayed anywhere quite like it. It took me 2 hours to get a margarita one afternoon with no apologies or explanations. I stopped eating lunch because ordering it was just so difficult every time. If you want food, I worked on the premise that you need to order at least 90 mins before you are hungry, and be prepared for them not to have an ingredient. Over 5 days I was told they had no bread, tea, jam, butter, limes, cheese…. The cleaning staff are wonderful. But the service is so abysmal you start to wonder if you’re the subject of a joke. Then you get reminded frequently that tips are not included in the prices and you realise it’s not. The food is deeply average, but if you want something else you have to take a golf cart taxi to and from Holbox central, which is 150-200 Mexican pesos one way. Because the service is so bad, the bar and restaurant are mostly a ghost town with very little atmosphere. I had a junior suite with a sea view. It was nice, but I had no privacy. There was a swimming pool right outside my room, and curtains that did not close properly unless I used a hair clip to keep them that way. The shower had a window that meant people could see me showering from the pool. I would not go back.

0/10 stars if I could. The hotels was under construction but that’s not advertised anywhere. 2 of the 3 pools were closed the entire time. All we heard all day was hammering and jackhammers. The lights kept going off. The spa services advertised are not actually offered on site. Don’t even get me started on the service. 45 minutes to make eggs and bacon. An hour to make cheese fries and they were still raw. I complained and the manager didn’t even acknowledge us the following day. Would never recommend this place.

Trying to be fair, but this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Las Nubes de Holbox is old, dirty, and seriously understaffed. The photos on their website are extremely misleading, clearly taken many years ago. The hotel no longer looks anything like what is advertised. Their so-called beach club is not actually on the beach. You have to cross a swampy puddle that smells terrible and is full of mosquitoes. After that, you reach a rocky shore that has nothing to do with the stunning beaches Holbox is known for. I’ll leave photos for reference. What they call a beach club is just a few old, rusted, and filthy beds. Again, photos will speak for themselves. The room I was given looked nothing like the photos either. I found a giant scorpion inside my shoe and it almost stung me twice. I went to the front desk for help, not even knowing if I had been stung, and they had no emergency kit. Not even the basics. No one apologized or showed any concern. I understand we’re in the jungle, but the scorpion was in the room because clearly the space is not well maintained. The room was old, dusty, and forgotten, which is likely why the scorpion was even there. The next day, after all that, they just offered to switch my room and gave me a welcome cocktail as an apology. (Lol). There is not enough staff in this hotel. You always have to wait a long time at the restaurant, and service in general is very slow. The included breakfast is a joke. It’s eggs every day, tasteless eggs.

Hotel located in one of the quietest and most beautiful positions on the island. The accommodations are spacious, the facilities modern, and in general, everything is well-maintained. The cuisine is excellent, the quality of the bar and restaurant service largely depended on the commitment of the individuals.

This hotel has the best location in Holbox, close to Punta Mosquito for activities like bioluminescence and kayaking. Peaceful and beautiful outside with great ocean views and access and many hangout spots. Delicious breakfast included. Front desk staff was helpful and accommodating. The worst part was having to leave! We would return 100%!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was excellent. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of fresh and high-quality options to choose from each morning. It was the perfect way to start the day. What truly stood out was the outstanding customer service. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile, making us feel comfortable throughout our stay. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Cuando llegamos el baño estaba sucio, un punto importante a mejorar en general es la limpieza, pero supongo es por la temporada en la que fuimos. De ahí en general es muy buen lugar con gran atención con ubicación privilegiada.
