Motel 6-Joshua, TX

Check in Friday night was fine and first night was okay. Room was good, bed was comfortable. Was disappointed that the pool was closed. On Saturday I didn’t not ask for my room to be checked or walked into my the cleaners, and I told an employee as I was walking out that my room didn’t need attention. Well when I got back to my room my “trash” had been emptied but it wasn’t trash it was one of the trash BAGS with my dirty clothes. I had to call front desks and ask about it and LUCKILY they hadn’t throw. Put the trash for the day yet. Now Sunday night was HORRIBLE and the morning manager was rude and condescending. My two year old has been sick with a horrible stomach bug I’d be up with him all night/days and around 6am he had an accident on the bed.went to the front desk to get new linens was told I needed to go back to my room grab all the dirty linens and bring them down BEFORE they would give me new ones. I bring the diarrhea/vomit filled Linens and blankets and I’m made to stand in the lobby holding everything because the employee needed to finish putting out the morning coffee first, to be unsanitary the employee just wanted me to put the bedding on the front desk counter. So I was charged a “damage fee” for bedding that I SAW, HEARD, the employee putting the bedding in the washer in the laundry room because she had to do that before giving me new ones but the manager was horrible in the morning. WORST EXPERIENCE at a hotel 6 EVER.

It seemed like this facility was family owned. What I thought was a dining room had couches that were completely surrounding the area where they were congregating there. It didn’t seem like it was a place where hotel gas could sit on those couches and relax like a normal lobby. My room was a little dirty. There were holes on the blankets and didn’t seem like the sheets were clean very well.

No pool

No breakfast, pool area was closed, front desk was not very friendly.

Front desk was very nice considering the late hour we checked in. Made accommodating our dog easy all in all a very acceptable and nice stay

The staff was super kind and accommodating. The fact that they allowed our dog without huge fees was a huge plus. We had a house fire and had to have our dog, so it was such a blessing. They also allowed us to check in early and we felt very safe there

Hotels.com did not get the room right . However they accommodated me but had to pay a extra $10. Which was fine but pics on here as well are not updated . Hotel is doing renovations

The elevator broke during our stay. It was very inconvenient and the front desk clerk was rude about it. There was no signage put on the elevator so we were waiting on a broken elevator. It was unacceptable especially with no warning or disclaimer.

Worse stay, roaches crawled in bed with us, stepped on them on floor of bathroom. Found underwear and Pubic hairs in bath tub.

Upon arrival we discovered fecal matter on the toilet seat and I was uncomfortable letting my kids stay there after seeing that they were understanding of that and they issued us a refund.

The entire place was was bad. The mold stench was hit you as soon as you walked in. The rooms were dirty and had mold all over the bathroom walls. Drunk were all over the property inside snd out. Not family friendly.

The room didn’t smell good. The room smelt like mildew. The toilet seat was cracked and the toilet was dirty. The owners are not taking care of this hotel. We stayed there 7 years ago and it was nice and clean. The front desk charged me a 50 dollar deposit. I was not satisfied at all.

Horrible. I did get a “dog” room because of my pup BUT … it was horrible. Dirt dust and urine everywhere. Urine on the air conditioner where a dog hiked. At least pull the carpet so the dog rooms can be mopped daily.

carpets smelled, furniture like lamps had what looked like mold, will never stay there again

Dead roaches were found, they switched us rooms upon arrival and us already being in the room for an hour.

Three rooms we had to change to and one had no water pressure. Hair in bathtub in two and one TV broken. Horrible

The hotel was disgusting. Our room was full of dirt, the walls were covered in boogers or snot or something. Notified the manager on duty and they said they would bring us cleaning supplies. Would not recommend this property to anyone.

no food options except few items in vending machine. nasty coffee only in am. building is old but attempt made to refresh paint etc. Room was comfortable but poor housekeeping. Hotel is on main street yet very quiet. Rooms are not soundproof and upstairs guest were active and thumping on floors ALL NIGHT! doors dont seal and hallway lights shine into room making sleeping difficult. will not return!

It was a great stay, Check in and check out was super easy. The room was spacious and little refrigerator and microwave worked really well. AC in good order. I like the free wi-fi as I always take my laptop to check e-mails and stuff. It was nice and quiet, the best when you are looking to relax and rest.

After a long trip arrived around midnight to take 30 minutes to check in with an extremely rude front desk staff , one had an attitude when we told him the room was pre booked and he was charging us twice of what the cost of the rooms were, nit just the deposit as it should be… he ran our card for $400 which is crazy for 2 nights either way… next morning talked to the manager who said he rather kick us out than to deal with our complaints about the staff since it was “late at night anyways” we didn’t want anything free just to get charged the actual price for the rooms which was stated at the time we booked it anyways to top it off one of our rooms smelled like mold and the second room had no working outlets for our electronics… will not be staying here ever again

One of the outlets in the room wouldn’t hold my phone charger in the wall. I was in room 317 and it was the outlet behind the nightstand. I am an electrician by trade so the outlet needs to be replaced.

Forgot my pillow and sweater in our room. The staff did help me recover both items. It was the first time I've been able to retrieve a forgotten item from any hotel. Unfortunately, the room wasn't as clean as it could've been. The bathroom had a musty smell. It was noisy in the hallway and in the next-door rooms throughout the night.

Was very nice only complaint was water pressure could have been stronger. But will definitely return if we’re ever in the area.

The hallways and stairwell reeked of Indian Food. The smell was very unpleasant. The shower was broken, and the refrigerator was not working. The light lamps didn't work, and the pillows were old and flat. The rooms smelled like dogs and/or cats had been living in them. I will not stay again. They also had an additional 2.00 fee for booking on hotels.com that was not disclosed.

Used to be a La Quinta that we had stayed at frequently. First stay in several years since conversion to Motel 6. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Only complaint might be lack of any seating except desk chair or bed. No arm chair or couch in a large room. All in all a good value and decent room for the cost. Would and probably will stay there again.

It was raining so they let me check in early and because I am a regular they didn’t charge me extra. They also waved the deposit. As many times as I have never had a bad experience and the staff has all been great

Staff was very Knowledgeable and Friendly rooms were very clean Young Lady at desk at 3 pm was very courteous

After making the reservation on Expedia, when I checked in at the front desk, they charged my card for a ‘damage’ deposit. It’s now been four days and they have not refunded the deposit yet. Total crooks. Avoid at all costs.

Pleasant as always I have been waiting on my house to open up so I have stayed several time and they have always been awesome to me

Only lodge in Joshua, as far as I know, but clean, safe, nice italian restaurant you can go walking, definitely recommended.

I like it because it's near where I need to be, very easy reservation, people are all nice, the only thing that I can say that wasn't great, was even though the towels and covers are clean they have a misty smell, but everything else was great.

Our room was clean and the gentleman who checked us in was nice. Disappointed that there was no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom and they still do not have breakfast due to covid.
