Always my Go-to place to stay in Pittsfield! Great staff, clean, comfortable, and location. Some rooms do not have windows so are really dark inside. But overall great place to stay!!

The front desk was incredibly accommodating, we needed to switch rooms and she helped with my kiddo so I could move parking. The cafe is NOT handicapped accessible and that’s where you check in- if you have a cane you might be alright- a chair forgettaboutit & stop in Hannibal or Jacksonville. I don’t know that I would choose to stay here again, the staff is amazing, but there was little sound proofing to the rooms, as a single mom not having a deadbolt or safety chain made it difficult to not jump awake at every noise. There is not an elevator or luggage cart- so if you’re traveling heavy it can be cumbersome if your room is on the 2nd floor.

We loved our stay William Watson. The building is steeped in history and our room was very cozy with exposed brick walls and antique furniture. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay but please be aware that there is no elevator. We were on the third floor and had to haul our suitcases up the very narrow staircase. It was not a problem for us but certainly could be for some.

This is a very historic old hotel in the middle of Pittsfield, Illinois, an area that Abraham Lincoln frequented. It has a very rich heritage. However, check-in was unique -- the keys are left on the front counter because there was no staff on site. I thought that was most unusual and not very secure. Finally, when we first got into the room, we found a number of crickets and other insects which we killed. We spent our first 30 minutes hunting down the bugs and eliminating them. They were very friendly and we enjoyed talking with them. So, in spite of the bugs and the unique check-in process, our stay was pleasant and we enjoyed it.

Love this hotel! Very comfortable & clean. I was graciously upgraded to a suite for my stay and the room was amazing. This may not be the place for children but for a cozy, restful stay in a place with historic charm, it’s top notch and my absolute favorite stop.

The room was clean. All the outlets worked and the shower is nice. There are several nice restaurants in a walkable distance. I'd suggest letting the staff know if you will be arriving past 5pm. Check in and check out was very simple. I did not get to sample the breakfast as I was out before it even started.

This is the most quaint and precious little boutique hotel. It is located right on the square. My room had a perfect view of the local city hall. Both the lobby and my room were decorated with original time-oriented pieces. I absolutely LOVED this place and will definitely stay here again!!

Air conditioning unit was right over the head of the bed-felt like I was catching a cold every morning when I woke up. Had to leave it on constantly cause humidity was so high and no windows in the room. Bathroom faucet was clogged so it took a long time to drain. It said breakfast on their website, but it amounted to snacks. False advertising. Was not a good visit at all and will never stay there again

Loved the quaint entrance and straight forward you can see the check in desk. Our room was on 2nd floor with a lovely view and king size bed that was sooooo comfortable. The room was super spacious and view on the town square. If you are ever in Pittsfield IL stop in and stay the night. There are many suggestions of great food. We chose Nucci’s…so good.

We loved our stay here. An 1838 building tastefully renovated. Comfortable bed, nice shower. Keys are at the desk for you when you check in - very casual - but we were fine with it. Hold by a nice family. We didn’t see staff very much, but they were just a phone call away. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Small town feel, felt safe walking around at all times of the day. Was in town for a wedding and the location was perfect. AC worked great and beds were comfortable.

This is the most quaint and precious little boutique hotel. It is located right on the square. My room had a perfect view of the local city hall. Both the lobby and my room were decorated with original time-oriented pieces. I absolutely LOVED this place and will definitely stay here again!!

This is a historic hotel built in 1838 and located on the main square. Abraham Lincoln used to wait here for verdicts to come back in the courthouse. It is old and charming. If you want ultra new, this isn't the place. Great coffee shop catty corner to the hotel. It also served lunch and breakfast, and there is another diner on the square. Staff are helpful and accommodating.

The room was clean. All the outlets worked and the shower is nice. There are several nice restaurants in a walkable distance. I'd suggest letting the staff know if you will be arriving past 5pm. Check in and check out was very simple. I did not get to sample the breakfast as I was out before it even started.

Super cool place! We stayed on a weekday so it was nice and quiet. Room had a TV, mini fridge, microwave, and shampoo/conditioner/bodywash/towels. The bed had a cover and the room was clean. Found a yummy breakfast place nearby. Overall a great experience! Thank you

Air conditioning unit was right over the head of the bed-felt like I was catching a cold every morning when I woke up. Had to leave it on constantly cause humidity was so high and no windows in the room. Bathroom faucet was clogged so it took a long time to drain. It said breakfast on their website, but it amounted to snacks. False advertising. Was not a good visit at all and will never stay there again

Loved the quaint entrance and straight forward you can see the check in desk. Our room was on 2nd floor with a lovely view and king size bed that was sooooo comfortable. The room was super spacious and view on the town square. If you are ever in Pittsfield IL stop in and stay the night. There are many suggestions of great food. We chose Nucci’s…so good.

Very charming, unique hotel. Enjoyed our stay. Be aware if you have trouble with stairs to make sure and book a main level room. Breakfast was very minimal. View of the courthouse and history of building wonderful. Would stay again.

We enjoyed our weekend stay at the unique and historical hotel. Will warn if you have difficulty with stairs to make sure and book a room on the main floor. The breakfast is very minimal. Love the charm of the hotel. And views of courthouse.

This historic place was very clean, quaint, room and bath had everything you would need. The only negative’s is there is absolutely no-one on site, your reservation is lying on counter with instructions for check-in and check-out for everyone to see including code to your room door. If you have questions or problems there is a number to call posted and that person is not on site, not sure how far away they are. Our room was very small, no window and you have to stand sideways to close door because toilet is behind the door, no elevators and stairs are narrow. Not handicapped or senior friendly. For the price I guess you can’t expect too much, glad it was only 1 night stay…..
