Iberostar Selection Playa de Palma

The service upon arrival with drinks and snack was nice. Porter service to the room. Wine and champagne awaiting us upon entry into room. Receptionist (from Argentina) on arrival Nov 12 in the afternoon was very competent, kind, and welcoming. Same was not true of a male colleague working the afternoon of Nov 13 (perhaps a supervisor, said he would give me towels and forgot while I was standing there, didn’t even smile, not ideal person to work at reception). Excellent sea view. Access to top infinity pool and sun area as Star Prestige was nice. Extra towels provided for the beach. Safe in room. There are some things that could be improved: The sunset bar on rooftop is closed during off-season (Nov starting). However one can call for drinks to order. Problem is that they didn’t have a menu available upstairs and the cocktails I ordered they didn’t even know what it was. Highly unexpected for a 5-star. Also the shower in the room would not properly close, pouring water out and into the room with the toilet. The infinity pool on the top floor is beautiful but the first step under the waterline is soooo slippery that in 2 hours I saw several people slip and one fall. Fix this before someone breaks something. I reserved the Spa for 45 minutes, but apparently two other people reserved it too for the same time. Why reserve if other people can just also show up whenever, making you have to wait for the use of the spa, which was reserved.

Das einzige Problem war die Musik auf der dachterrasse bis 22.30 Uhr. Dafür aber Liveband. Danach war aber Ruhe.

Many pluses to this hotel, a good location on the beach front with lots of bar and testaurant options on the doorstep, free filtered water machines, excellent breakfast, and no shortage of pool loungers with nobody rushing to throw towels down in the morning. The only negative is the hotel resets the air con at 1am every morning, so on all our nights we woke up hot and had to turn it back on and go back to bed. I think they do this to save money, but it somewhat spoilt an otherwise perfect stay.

Hotel très propre, personnel serviable, petit dejeuner très élaborée.(manque de bon café/espress) café en poudre très médiocre. Sale de gym décevante (pas d’aeration, moisissures sur les mures et odeur insupportable) Environnement malsain et impossible d’y rester.

Amazing stay at the property. Amenities were fantastic and we loved the Sunset Rooftop Lounge. Monica, the concierge went above and beyond to make it an amazing stay. 10/10 recommend.

This is my second stay, and it was even better than the first (and it is definitely not the last). While it's a full five-star hotel, it's not so big, so that it feels more like a club than an impersonal hotel. But it has all the necessary facilities. No fancy foyer or other trappings, but if you want a very quiet, clean comfortable room, in a friendly environment right next to the sea, with a terrific swimming pool, bar, restaurant, spa (small, but pleasant, and spotless), I'd recommend it. As importantly, the staff are so friendly and helpful, but not in a fawning manner. As it's quite small you feel you get to know each other over a few days. The only pity is that, on both my visits, the Sunset Bar was closed (but I was still able to go up with a drink from bar down below, to see amazing sunset, but no atmosphere, as no one else there). I am surprised May would be out of season? It's great there is no music by the pool during the day (unlike most other hotels) and you can hear birds chirping! At night the rooms are so quiet, and I slept the best I have ever, in any hotel. You can walk through their own gate into the sea - and the area is nice with some funky bars and nice restaurants. Yet, it's only about 25 mins by bus (leaves right outside the front entrance every 15 mins) to the centre of Palma, for 2 euro! And the airport bus only takes 15 mins and leaves every 30 mins (five euro). It would also be good to have some tea and other drink options in the room.

Trevlig personal, bra faciliteter och trevligt poolområde. Definitivt värt ett besök på resan!

All good except for the spa, which is tiny and useless. Hit tub was cold and steam room broken.

Hotel property excellent cleanliness in all areas

Det var maur på hotellrommet. Når vi prøvde å løse problemet med personalet, sprayet de maurspray. Problemet kom tilbake noen timer senere. Prøvde å prate med de igjen og de mente det bar en problem på alle rom. Måtte bo med mye maur på rommet i 3 dager. Ellers fint opphold.

Die Ausstattung des Hotels ist hochwertig, durchdacht und gepflegt, man merkt sofort den hohen Qualitätsanspruch. Ein echtes Highlight war jedoch das Personal: durchweg freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und wertgeschätzt. Auch die Lage direkt am Meer ist ideal – perfekt für Spaziergänge, Bewegung und gleichzeitig Erholung. Das Essen war abwechslungsreich, frisch und auf hohem Niveau. This was probably the cleanest hotel we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The staff was always seen with a smile and everyone truly seemed to love working here and welcoming of their guests! Whenever we are looking for a place to stay, we will search for an Iberostar Hotel.

Mein gebuchtes Zimmer hatte keine Badezimmertür. Also auch keine Tür vor dem WC. Das fand ich sehr befremdlich. Ich bekam dann aber ein anderes Zimmer, welches Türen hatte. Der online Check in war eher überflüssig und brachte keinen Vorteil. Aber ansonsten war es top. Der Empfang freundlich mit Sekt, Kaffee, Obst, das Zimmer groß, sauber und sehr bequem. Gut die Terrasse teilt man sich mit anderen Zimmern, dafür hat man aber auch extra Lounges und Korbsessel statt einfacher Stühle auf dem Balkon. Besonders gut hat mir die Zapfstation für gefiltert es Wasser gefallen. Das war ein echter Mehrwert. Frühstück war auch lecker und abwechslungsreich. Auch hier toller Service. Alles in allem war es ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt

Unser Aufenthalt im Iberostar Selection Playa de Palma war durchwegs positiv. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der freundliche und effiziente Service sowohl an der Rezeption als auch beim reichhaltigen Frühstücksbuffet. Die Zimmer waren schön gestaltet und stets sauber, und die Poolanlage lud zum Entspannen ein. Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal für Sportbegeisterte, mit Tennis- und Padelplätzen direkt gegenüber. Zudem ist das Hotel sehr familienfreundlich, was unseren Urlaub mit Baby besonders angenehm machte. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Absolut empfehlenswert für einen entspannten Familienurlaub!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft an der Playa, die wir aufgrund der zentralen Lage und der großzügigen, modernen Zimmer gebucht haben. Wir waren mehr als zufrieden und haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen. Das Hotel ist sauber, es gibt ein vielfältiges, leckeres Frühstücksbüffet und vor allem die Mitarbeiter bringen einen wesentlichen Mehrwert. Immer freundlich und kompetent. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The issue we faced first is that they put a family with two kids in the farest room they have, secondly the shower sprayer and the fridge were not working, the room has small insect everywhere coming out of the wood decoration, vanity kits and other wash items were not prepared, we do not understand why these were not being attended firsthand before the check in?

L’hôtel est très bien situé, à 10 minutes de l’aéroport. La chambre est spacieuse et moderne. La vue sur la mer est 1 plus. Le personnel est dévoué. Pour les points négatifs : la literie est à revoir pour un hôtel cinq étoiles. Le manque d’insonorisation des chambres également. Bien choisir sa place au restaurant, car les odeurs de cuisine sont très présentes.

Great location by the beach and easy to get to Palma with bus 25 that stops right outside the hotel. The staff is very nice and the interior is very stylish. Beds were very comfortable. King size and one peace. Food in the bar and the breakfast was excellent. In the evening we didn’t eat there, we went to Palma. The restaurant was a little too noisy to eat dinner there.

Fabulous hotel, staff were so friendly and welcoming. They brought a complimentary drink by the pool most days. Room was large and clean. Breakfast restaurant was lovely, great food choice. Location is very convenient to beach and Playa de Palma location.

Our stay here was amazing. We loved the balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. The beach access was perfect. The staff was amazing and the service we received was above our expectations.

The property was great. It was an ideal location for our Palma vacation. The staff were excellent. The front desk person Alex was so amazing in helping with restaurants and day trips. His hospitality and cordiality was 5 Star service. The facilities, pool, rooms, were awesome

Bad "customer service." Upsold us to a room that had smallest balcony in entire building. Put us at end of long hallway and walk knowing I had bad knee requiring surgery. Told us beach chairs and umbrella available for rental--a lie. None on beach in front of hotel. Chairs and umbrellas nearby were all rented by other tourists. Locked us out of room at 9:30 a.m. on day of departure and our rental car was waiting out front to move us out. Totally low class experience.

Wonderful property and great staff. Felicity was AMAZING! She did everything in her power to ensure we had a wonderful time. Her customer service was top notch! The arrival drinks and snacks were a great addition. The property was well maintained and the breakfast bar had a lot of options and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is visiting Mallorca.

Here’s a concise and impactful review you can post on Expedia: ⸻ We were required to pay for all 9 nights upfront before even seeing the room. The first room was freezing, with only a sheet for bedding, and the shower leaked into the main living area. Staff admitted no other rooms were available and refused any refund, even though this was night one of nine. On night three, we were moved to a different room, which they called an “upgrade”—but it was a hassle for our family of four to repack and relocate. Poor service, broken promises (like a comped dinner they later revoked), and an overall disappointing experience. Would not return.

It's a great property and we very much enjoyed our time. Just did not realize that while its on a beach, its not the pristine beach I see in pictures. The picture beaches are in remote areas. Also while the food at breakfast was great, I would not say dinner was as great. Venture out for dinner.

The hotel itself was really beautiful and staff was friendly and amazing. Tons of families and couples. The beach is across the street and nice strip of restaurants and shops. Also very close to old town so it’s a convenient location.

Buffet is terrible. This is not directly on the beach rather a short walk. This hotel is NOT a 5 star… the staff was great and the main lobby area looks great but the hallways to the rooms are maybe 2 star.

Nice hotel. Just be aware all inclusive does not cover coffee tea or water and no alcohol. That’s right you have to pay for water at dinner 3.50 euros no beverages are included with meals we thought this had to be incorrect and they told us numerous times a manager would get back to us they did not The facilities were nice.

Très bel endroit tranquille. Personnel sans reproche, aimable et serviable. Très bon buffet au restaurant. Seul point négatif, il n’y a aucun breuvage d’inclus avec le buffet, l’eau coûte 3 euros le petit flacon. (Qui est en fait de l’eau du robinet, selon lempersonnel)

Tolles Hotel mit einem sehr freundlichem, zuvorkommenden Personal. Der vom Rezeptionisten mit 26 Grad angepriesene „beheizte“ Pool entpuppte sich leider als Falschaussage mit enttäuschenden 22 Grad. Unser Zimmer war sauber, praktisch und wir haben uns wohlgeführt. Der Ausblick aufs Meer war ein Highlight. Beim Frühstück sowie Abendessen besteht leider auch sehr sehr viel Luft nach oben. Man fand zwar immer etwas zum Essen aber die Qualität, Temperatur und Garstufen des Essens waren leider nie zufriedenstellend.

Hotel bien mais la restauration n’est pas du tout à la hauteur. Très peu d’option de restauration et buffet du pareil au même jours après jours et la qualité et la diversité de l’offre sont discutable. Très décevant.

It lived up to the pictures. Good value for an ocean front room with lavish breakfast buffet. Excellent service.
