they use to give two bottles of water complimentary, not anymore they now have one tap near the elevator, so you can go with your glass and take water there, normal tapwater. so once back on the road you have no water to bring

Imperial is a nice place however needs a few improvements to be classed as 4 star. They had 2 events happening Friday and Saturday night which went on till 1am. Could identify every song in our hotel rooms as sound proofing is very poor - would avoid if have young children. Also breakfast starts at 9am - too late if you have to be somewhere. Also service at breakfast was adequate and while asked for room number, staff wanted us to pay at bar vs adding to our room. Very inconvenient. Overall I would suggest Imperial is more a 3 star hotel than stated 4 star. It needs to improve

Hotel situated right in the centre of town. We really liked the firm beds and great pillows. Room deco was nice though the cupboards were 'old'. Only real gap was TV where there were only 4-5 Irish channels and not Freesat/Sky for UK channels which was a pity. The water cooler was not working. The hotel is a well known wedding venue so can be noisy at weekends

The staff here are very helpful and friendly. Had delicious soup for lunch in the pretty restaurant. The free parking was great, and we were able to walk all over the town. The room was clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the hotel location very central. Complementary water was available, if you wanted to travel to another floor with an empty plastic bottle to get it (bottle was provided). Earplugs were provided in the room and unfortunately were needed - to reduce nightclub noise. Parking beside the hotel is a welcome feature but the parkkng spaces are tiny. Enjoyed the stay but found the accommodation price expensive, even without adding in breakfast.

There is a club right next to the hotel and it had a student night on. You could hear everything until the club was over and afterwards you could hear the crowds clearly on the street. There didnt seem to be any sound proofing. Also the room was cold. I double checked if a window was open but it wasnt.

This is a nice hotel in the heart of Dundalk. The breakfast is lovely and the bar is good fun. We enjoyed the live music and the flexibility for residents. Outside the hotel is noisy at the weekend, with nightlife going to about 3am. This kept us awake but my other family got rooms at the other side of the hotel and were not disturbed. Overall, great. Would stay again.

I Will never stay at this hotel again and I would not recommend it for anyone else. What they don't tell you on the website is that a number of rooms are located directly above their party bar. Don't intend on getting any sleep until at least 2:30 when the band has ended and all the partiers have gone home and all the cars have stopped beeping. The best part is they actually have the nerve on the floor to have signs saying quiet hours 9:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. Don't make noise in your room. Is that so it doesn't disturb the partiers and the bar below?? When I complained all I got was sorry. They should really warn people on the website that there are certain rooms that will have this issue. I would have never stayed there knowing that. The room itself, while nice clearly was not clean well as we found other people's used hair bands on the floor and still water in the watercraft that you are supposed to take up to another floor to get your room water to drink.

The reception and bar staff were superb and very helpful. The room was also great but the extraction fan directly outside the window was a bid negative. I couldn’t sleep with the window open due to the noise, and my sleep was disturbed due to the warmth in the room.

The employee at the front desk when we checked in was incredible! Had a "cheat sheet" of great places to see and restaurants to check out. We really appreciated the effort to make our stay in Dundalk the best it could be.

Great hotel with friendly staff and nice rooms. Only issue was on check in even though the room is paid they ask for a credit card, fair enough! Then ask for photo I.D, fair enough but then ask to photocopy your I.D, not needed!!!!!
