Honestly I don't know how this property can call itself a 5 star. At one time it probably was a great hotel but now the rooms are pretty beat up and not that clean. At least mine were. On the other hand, the breakfast is good. It's in a good area and it has a pool and gym. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for and this place is relatively cheap.

Beautiful views of the ocean if the room on high enough floor..view from the rooftop bar is really spectacular. The toiletries were kind of sparse..,no dental kits…and the rooms are in need of being refreshed. But, area around hotel is quiet even if hotel itself is noisy at times.

We really enjoyed this place. First time here. Close to the beach. Rooms very nice, breakfast is outstanding, gym great. Service is excellent. Both pools are beautiful, espcially the sky p view. The only comment i would add that i didnt like is the chairs at the pool. People wae up eary, throw a towel on the poolside chair and then disappear for hours. We didnt get to use the pool once in 4 days. This is common eveywhere, not jua an issu here. A "reservation fee: or small charge by the hour might help sokve this issue. Otherwise a wonderful stay and we will be back for sure.

We had a great time and enjoyed the hotel. It has access to the beach, the pools are good, the room is spacious and the view from our balcony is spectacular all day. It is outdated and used, busy with groups and a lot of people, but it is what it is. Parking was great.

Vi måtte vente 2 timer på check-in, der var ingen strøm til elevatoren. Vi blev opgraderet til De Luxe fra Superior, men Superior havde the-køkken, det forstår vi ikke. Værelset var ok, men slidt. Der er 336 værelser, 2 pool, 12 parasoller og ca 30 liggestole, så der var slåskamp om dem. Vi skulle betale 1000 bath for at tjekke ud sent (kl. 17), men efter vi klagede fik vi lov til at tjekke ud kl. 15 gratis, fordi vi måtte vente på at tjekke ind.

Hotellet var ok. Rommene var slitte og trenger virkelig en fornying. Måtte slå av air condition for å kunne sitte på verandaen. Ok frokost og hyggelig personnel. Grei plassering i forhold til strand. Greit å ta tuc tuc til pattaya om man ønsker det. Solsengene på bassenget i 5 etasje burde skiftes umiddelbart. Flott sky bar med nydelig utsikt.

Vi blev mycket besvikna på detta hotell. Enligt beskrivning och bilder framstod hotellet som mycket fint. Men det stämde inte alls. Var istället ett ganska risigt hotell. Rummen var bedrövliga. As a family, we had been looking forward to 5 wonderful days in Pattaya, and had chosen, we thought, a better hotel as a base for our holiday. What a disaster!!! D Varee Jomtien Beach hotel was terrible in every way. run down, filthy and in the process of renovation. The rooms were so dirty with old dirt and it stank of sewage in most places. We had to change rooms 3 times, due to extremely bad and dirty rooms and one room due to noise from compressed air drills. Not once did we get an apology from the staff, who didn't even bother to look at the pictures we had taken of old rubbish. The rooms were not cleaned during the time we were there, only changing the towels and making the beds. We had booked Superior rooms and paid 2500 bht. per day. What a joke!!!

The hotel is dated and old looking. There was a constant musty smell of old around the entire hotel. Time to renovate the rooms, to bring the up to modern standards. Also, every day after house keeping cleaned the rooms they did not leave fresh towels in the room. Had to call several times to front desk to request fresh towels. Sometimes they were not delivered to the rooms until several hours after the call. Cheap price hotel, but cheap looking hotel and service. You get what you pay for I guess.

There have unfortunately been many issues on my 5 day visit to Hotel D Varee: [ ] Internet barely worked most of the time. Ok in the morning some days, but very weak in the evenings. Reported to front desk twice. [ ] The first room I was reserved was on 30th floor with sea view, but the room was so dirty (showed pictures to reception) that I had to get a new room on the 25th [ ] No warm water in shower first 2-3 days. I reported on first day, nothing happened, I reported again the day after, they did not know that I had already reported once. [ ] No lamp by the bed. I prefer to read book by/in the bed, but too dark (lights of room far away from bed area) so not possible. In a hotel room. When I asked for a lamp, it was placed in a different part of the room, OPPOSITE of the bed. It is almost comical how there is no communication, seemingly, between the workers at hotel, plus the lamp was so weak, so almost impossible to read still. [ ] Repeated mistakes. Nobody takes responsibility for the errors. And no compensation given. I sent a message to hotel about the above, and a week later I have yet not received any response.

We booked a superior room through Hotels.com, attracted by photos showing a small kitchen, which was a key reason for our choice. However, upon arrival, we were given a standard studio room with no kitchen, despite the booking clearly stating “superior.” In addition to the misleading room, there were several issues: The safe didn’t work. No bedside lamps. The balcony was covered in bird droppings. The neighboring balcony had a bird nest with eggs, showing it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. We traveled with our 2-year-old daughter, which made the situation worse. The dirty balcony was completely unusable, and we were concerned for her safety and health. We reported the issues to reception, but were told the hotel was fully booked and nothing could be done. After our stay, we contacted hotel management, who offered a free upgrade for a future visit. However, we don’t plan to return, so that offer was irrelevant. When we requested compensation for our stay, we were declined. We then contacted Hotels.com, who reached out to the hotel. However, they informed us that since the hotel didn’t approve a refund, they couldn’t help further. We feel let down as customers and frustrated that neither the hotel nor Hotels.com took responsibility for the situation. We hope this serves as a warning to future travelers

駐車場スタッフやビーチ沿いのレストランスタッフがとても親切だった。レセプションのスタッフも感じが良く丁寧でした。またスイートにアップグレードしてくれたのはとても嬉しかったです。しかし、部屋のテレビはノイズが多く画像が悪かった。しかも数分で電源が切れてしまう状況。画面サイズも小さい。朝食は良くもなく悪くもないです。朝食会場のスタッフも親切でしたが指示をしていた比較的年配の女性スタッフはあまり感じがよくなかった。ビーチロード沿いのレストランで食事をしましたがスタッフも素晴らしく、また行きたいと思います。ありがとうございました。

Staff very friendly very helpful, no problems. Location is great everything you need is only a short walk away if not plenty of taxi or tuktuk to take you anywhere. Downstairs and lobby is beautiful, nice clean modern but the rooms are very out dated and need to be upgraded. Rooms don’t look like pictures used to advertise. Still provided a comfortable stay but for the price you’d expect nicer room. I’d like to stay again only if the room is updated.

Overall a pleasant stay. The bed was very hard though. Air conditioning loud and difficult to adjust. Beautiful view of the beach from the room. Room was across from a storage hall where garbage bags should not be left.

Staff and service was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. Some of the rooms and accommodation throughout the hotel need some upgrades and the noise from constant construction inside and outside the hotel really did distract from what was otherwise a pleasant experience.

We were a bit unfortunate that we booked when we did.. the hotel was full with guests due to the rowing championship that was being held there.. l don’t think enough staff were used to cope with the amount of guest staying at the hotel during this time

The rooms were unfortunately very worn, and I must admit that I had expected a better standard than what we experienced. It definitely affected the overall impression, as the condition was clearly below what one would reasonably expect. That said, the hotel was perfectly located right by the beach. It couldn’t have been better if you’re looking for peace and quiet, while still being within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and local life.

The rooms are nice and roomy. A little far down beach road, but when they finish the pipe work it will be easier to get around on beach road. Only minus is no bacon at breakfast. Had a great stay though. Reception staff are all friendly. We had a little issue at check in and had to wait until 5pm for one of our rooms.

The breakfast food buffet is very limited and poor quality. For example, serving hot dog weiners and cold cut meats as breakfast food. Very little western breakfast food and often food supposed to be served hot was cold. Breakfast food was mostly lunch food. This resort should be avoided simply due to the poor breakfast buffet. Also, the gym/workout room was unusable beyond a few minutes due to having no air conditioning.

This is an absolutely wonderful property. The sunset views from the room or the pool were utterly amazing overlooking the ocean. Their restaurant / bar options were great. Breakfast had a mixture of what every type of ethnicity would like, so we got to try some different breakfast items we wouldn’t have normally thought of.
