Alpine Lodge Red River

Great atmosphere! Outdoor common areas were beautiful and well-maintained! Clean and comfortable with friendly staff! Will stay here again!

Staff was exceptional and even helped us to celebrate our anniversary by placing us in a room with a wonderful view and delivering a special treat to our room. Bed was very comfortable, quality pillows and linens, room temperature well maintained with the wall heater (which was quiet), and parking was right outside our door.

Parking was nice. Room was great.

Friendly staff and managers. Very clean rooms and grounds. We will be staying there again in the future with other family members.

Nice, cozy, quiet area with a nearby stream on the property with sitting areas. Hot tub, grill area, well maintained. Will definitely choose this place next time.

We loved that it was within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Parking was easy and you even gave my sister a parking pass. Not real crazy about having to take out the trash and making sure dishes were washed and put away, but otherwise, it was great!

What a great town to visit for a couple of nights. The lodge itself is very nice. I had a small room that is sufficient for one person. Easy parking. This lodge is on the main street for the town of Red River, and all shops and restaurants are within a 15 minute walk from the lodge. One of the ski lifts is located right next to the lodge. There are two hot tubs available in the back for hotel guests to use. I would recommend this lodge for staying in Red River.

Rooms are adequate. Property is very nice and borders the river. Some parking in front of rooms is a challenge with pickups or larger vehicles. Other parking is available.

House keepers did not clean well, made one bed, not the other. Left trash bag in room. Tv was in kitchen and couldn’t see it from living room it was so small.

Was clean and cozy. Quiet and close by to eateries and shops.

The room and furnishing were sub standard. The mattress was hard and lumpy, housekeeping continuously short sheeted the bed, when they bothered to show up. We had to chase them down to get clean towels. The size of the bathroom was very small; the commode was right up against the sink which was up against the tub. No bathmat was provided so the floors proved slippery which is no good for those of us in our seventies. This was not our first time staying at this property but is was the last.

The property is very dated. The beds need replaced, they feel like mush. The cleaning needs to be better, the tub was not clean and the floor was dirty. The staff were very nice and helpful.

The smell in the room was horrible and the cockroaches and silverfish were abundant!

My husband and I have stayed at the Alpine Lodge a few times now, and that’s because we always have a very nice stay. The staff is very kind and helpful, the rooms are not the newest, but that doesn’t usually impress me anyway. They are clean, and that’s important to me! I will definitely continue to bring my family to this lodge.

I preface that we stayed in the only room available over Spring Break (Queen). It was spartan to put it kindly and very much ‘budget’ accommodations. PROS: 1) Location and convenience to all things in Red River, next to a stream that runs through town and deer were walking across the property during our stay. 2) A cool kids playground with swings and horseshoes. 3) Free hot chocolate in the office. 4) Hot tub on property 5) Microwave 6) Mini fridge CONS: 1) In the room, the blanket was thin, the bedding was average and the comfort of the mattress was not good. The bathroom was fine with all the soap and shampoo in wall-mounted dispensers. The TV was a tiny 32-inch model with limited cable channels and wasn’t easy to enjoy while lying in bed. There were no drawers for clothes. There was a small table on which to do work. Overall, it felt extremely cramped and very basic accommodations. 2) Of the 4 front desk employees we met during our stay - including the manager - I was underwhelmed by all. Having stayed in hundreds of hotels for both business and leisure travel, I know what sincere, warm customer service looks like and this wasn’t it. It was like the staff was checking the box to answer any questions and one, in particular, had almost no information for several very basic questions. I try to be accurate and fair on my reviews and we may have enjoyed a larger room, had it been available. However, this was nothing more than a glorified crash pad

Staff was super friendly and very helpful getting checked in and out. Bed was comfortable and perfect size for the two of us. Enjoyed not having to worry about keys but used a keypad to get into our room. You can hear your neighbors next door but it wasn’t too bad. They do have quiet hours but it depends on who your neighbors are. Had people being very loud until 11:30 one night, that was a bit of a bummer but once they quieted down, it was fine. Overall, Alpine Lodge was a great place to stay, close to restaurants and shops, affordable and very cozy. We enjoyed it very much.

Alpine Lodge is Awesome! From the super friendly check—in, to the charming room and beautiful grounds, our entire stay was amazing! The wood burning fireplace in our room was the cherry on top!

Great location and quiet. The beds need updating to better mattresses. I would not stay here again until mattresses are updated. Red River was a little warmer than we anticipated, so no air conditioning in the room was a slight issue until the night air cooled the room off. They did provide a small fan which helped some.

Our room was older but lovely. Lots of light and air. Room was clean and large. 2 balconies with 2 different views. Would stay in the same room again but found being on the 3rd floor more difficult at 74 and 83 years of age but will stay at eh Alpine Lodge again as we have always enjoyed our stays there.

We always stay at Alpine Lodge. They accommodate late arrivals and check in is quick and efficient. The rooms are clean and well priced.

Alpine Lodge was a perfect place to stay during our Red River trip. My wife and I loved how close it was to everything. Literally right next to the ski lift. Beautiful setting next to river. Enjoyed sitting there and listening to it. Everything is within walking distance.

It is a beautiful atmosphere, not a lot of choices for eating after certain times.

It's a small room, but clean. There were gnats in the room that were aniosance. There is no breakfast service so we at a local Cafe
