Best Western London Ilford Hotel

Vid incheck-in på båda hotellen krävdes en deposition på 50 GBP per natt, trots att boende var fullt förbetalt via Hotels.com. Jag informerades om att depositionen skulle återbetalas till mitt kort inom kort efter utcheckning.

Det var ok men jag tycker det passar inte par,sängen var inte så bra och inte bekvämt för par och man hör dem som är bredvid, annars det var tryggt och ren, frukost var ok det var samma mat varje dag. Dem var hjälp sam i reseptionen. Området var bra många restaurang finns där.

I’ll start by saying the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Great service from them. On check in, one staff member helped me with parking arrangements , which was a relief as there’s limited parking available. I was initially put in the annex across the road. As a lone female I said I wasn’t comfortable with this and the receptionist kindly changed my room to the main building. The hotel itself is ok but I’m pleased I was only there for one night. The walls are so thin I found it very noisy - have to realise not all hotel guests are considerate of others. This resulted in a poor nights sleep. Coupled with lumpy pillows and a room that was very warm, the comfort of my stay was poor. Breakfast was ok. Again the issue was other guests pushing in and being inconsiderate. Quality of cooked breakfast seemed ok but poor coffee and limited choice of bread or healthy options. But then again breakfast is cheap, so it is going to be basic. Area of he hotel is in is probably not everyone’s first choice of location but it’s near Ilford station. I didn’t really like the walk back from the station in the dark, but it’s only a couple of minutes walk. Just need to be sensible and I wouldn’t suggest walking with your phone on show, for example. The hotel did seem better than all other hotels nearby.
