Great location, beautiful artwork, facilities of a 5 star hotel in a homely guest house. Local produce at breakfast and a well stocked honesty bar. Hosts are attentive and lots of information for travellers. Can’t wait to return.

Everything was lovely. The room and bathroom were freshly renovated and clean. We received good recommendations for meals on the evening of arrival and ate delicious supper. The breakfast in the room overlooking the garden was perfect! I really have nothing to complain about and everything to praise!

The property was beautifully decorated, and the garden was so lovely. Graham and Karen were the best of hosts. They helped us plan activities, and the breakfast they served was the best we ever had. We would definitely stay there again!

Graham & Karen were absolutely amazing hosts. The room & house were sensational, comfortable, clean, and the breakfast included was amazing. It truly felt like a restful getaway, and both will go to great lengths to give travel tips, assist with your stay, and anything else you need. Will be staying here again!

What an amazing place! We only stayed for a single night sadly however Graham and Karen went out of their way to look after us and could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Their guest house is beautifully decorated with original features in abundance mixed with contemporary touches - warm, comfortable and intimate. Our room was huge and had an incredible four-poster bed and bathroom with large jacuzzi bath. Everything was spotlessly clean and in perfect order, obviously fastidiously looked after. We dined there in the evening too and had the most fantastic meal; we're no strangers to good food and what we were served we'd have been delighted to receive in a high-end restaurant - thank you Karen! Breakfast was similarly delicious with a great choice of dishes, with those we chose cooked to perfection. Graham went over and above in showing us around the property and explaining the history of it, then preparing a detailed suggestion of a route around the countryside to see some of the best sights, even printing out a map and illustrating it for us. We truly felt like important guests and they were theoat impeccable hosts. Thanks again, and we will be definitely be back!

From arrival to departure we couldn’t have been made more welcome, Graham and Karen are truly wonderful hosts. The house has been updated to a very high standard, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and have a homely feel. Breakfast exceeded expectations both in the items offered and quality. We very much look forward to returning in the future.

What a lovely night away we had, the hotel is stunning and probably the best small hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was huge and decorated to a very high standard. The owners are so nice from start to finish and can’t do enough for you. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

Great location, beautiful artwork, facilities of a 5 star hotel in a homely guest house. Local produce at breakfast and a well stocked honesty bar. Hosts are attentive and lots of information for travellers. Can’t wait to return.

Everything about this place was fabulous. We cannot recommend highly enough. We had an evening meal at the Lands of Loyal hotel a 15 minute walk which was also very good.

Graham & Karen were absolutely amazing hosts. The room & house were sensational, comfortable, clean, and the breakfast included was amazing. It truly felt like a restful getaway, and both will go to great lengths to give travel tips, assist with your stay, and anything else you need. Will be staying here again!

Everything was lovely. The room and bathroom were freshly renovated and clean. We received good recommendations for meals on the evening of arrival and ate delicious supper. The breakfast in the room overlooking the garden was perfect! I really have nothing to complain about and everything to praise!

The property was beautifully decorated, and the garden was so lovely. Graham and Karen were the best of hosts. They helped us plan activities, and the breakfast they served was the best we ever had. We would definitely stay there again!

What an amazing place! We only stayed for a single night sadly however Graham and Karen went out of their way to look after us and could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Their guest house is beautifully decorated with original features in abundance mixed with contemporary touches - warm, comfortable and intimate. Our room was huge and had an incredible four-poster bed and bathroom with large jacuzzi bath. Everything was spotlessly clean and in perfect order, obviously fastidiously looked after. We dined there in the evening too and had the most fantastic meal; we're no strangers to good food and what we were served we'd have been delighted to receive in a high-end restaurant - thank you Karen! Breakfast was similarly delicious with a great choice of dishes, with those we chose cooked to perfection. This is simply the best guest houses/bed and breakfast places we have ever stayed at! We made a last minute reservation the same afternoon at the last day of our roadtrip around Scotland after we changed our plans and really had no expectations when going there. The location was convenient and it looked nice on the photos. But when we arrived to this lovely old house we were warmly welcomed by Karen, one of the owners, who showed us around in the beautiful house with several social areas and a fantastic garden with nice areas to unwind in the evening sun, a pond with fish and chicken in the back of the garden. Then we were so happy when we got to see the room we had booked - The four posters room (room 4). An amazing spacious corner room on the 1st floor, beautifully decorated in nice colors, with a huge bed, a sitting area with two comfortable chairs, plus a cosy sitting area in one of the windows with view of the lovely garden, a coffee machine and a fantastic bathroom with a bubble bath and a ”rain”shower. We spent the evening sitting in the evening sun in the garden, enjoying a bottle of cava and some whisky from their honesty bar. We met the other owner Graham in the garden and he shared some really nice tips of what to do on our last day. Before leaving this beautiful place we enjoyed their generous breakfast. There were lots to choose from (ordered the evening before) and it was delicious. We will definitely come back and then stay more than one night!!
