The Canopy Rainforest Treehouses & Wildlife Sanctuary

Property called “Canopy Treehouses”. My booking stated “Deluxe Cabin” but upon arrival found we had been allocated a caravan that had an “eco toilet” (hole in the ground) that you couldn’t flush. I expected a treehouse in the trees. This was a birthday present for my Husband so was disappointed & thought it very expensive for what we got. Not recommended.

We had a great time. Excellent view, loved the walking tracks, very peaceful. Everything per the description.

We booked a treehouse and was allocated a tiny house. When we reached at the property, there was no power. No one was present at tge property to address the issue. After multiple call, a lady answered but no resolution was provided and told us she will call ergon power company to raise the issue. The power was out for most of the afternoon and night, It came back at 10pm. The toilet was just a hole in the ground and due to no power there was no exhaust and whole unit was smelly. We spent most of our evening on the deck and outside near fireplace to avoid the smell from the toilet. When we addressed the issues with the owner next day, he sounded very understanding and asked us apply for refund through expedia. We applied for 75% back, understanding owner's expenses but no refund was offered back fo us. I normally don't write good or bad reviews but in this case, I just had to. Goodluck to future travellers, you might get lucky and no get the tiny unit with power cuts.

Beautiful cozy spot in the wilderness with lots of live and care taken with the cabin and surrounding area. The little things xo
