Hampton Inn Turnersville (Philadelphia Area)

The place was really nice, the issue was that they advertise a pool. They apparently haven't had a working pool in a while and won't for a long time because of some issues with the paint, which is fine except they advertise a pool so when my kids and I went downstairs in our bathing suits asking where the pool was, imagine our surprise when we find out they haven't had a working one in months.

The property is advertised as having a pool. We checked in and there’s no pool it’s closed and it’s been closed for a long time. Why would you advertise the amenities as having a pool?

Stay was just ok. Cons - couldn’t get the temperature warm enough, pool wasn’t open, wasn’t sure sheets were changed Pros- breakfast was nice, people were friendly

It was under renovation . No pool or gym available like listed on website . When we arrive no reception we couldn’t check in and waited . And finally keys are given the door didn’t work so we had to change the room .

The hotel is undergoing major renovations. This leads to major inconvenience in many different ways such as dust, no dining area for breakfast, water shutoff etc. This should have been clearly spelled out in the Expedia entry for this hotel. If I had been aware of this, I would have never booked this hotel.

Hotel is currently being remodeled which is all week and good however many areas are covered in dust and not accessible but yes same rate are charged. I had an elderly relative stay here due to her ac breaking at her house. The phones in the rooms do not work which for a guest who isn't cell phone savy is no good. The downstairs lobby area is covered in dust from remodeling which can be a major issue for those with health issues. The pool was closed. To access rooms you must leave the gown and use a side entrance. Staff was nice enough but unhelpful.

I booked this property and gave it preference over others in the area exclusively because it had an indoor pool. As I was traveling with my grandkids, it was very important to me. When we arrived, we were told, that the pool was under a long term renovation. It ruined my plans for the stay. I don't know whose fault that is - the property's or the Expedia's but it is a very big error to my mind.

The property was nice, the food was good for breakfast, the room was clean and had all the toiletries that I could use if I had forgotten mine! I was a little disappointed to find out the pool has not been open since Covid, but they have not taken it off of their list of amenities.

The hotel was fine, and we will likely stay here again. My main comment is that we stayed here twice 16 months apart and both times the pool was out of service with the water removed. It’s not essential, but we do look to stay in hotels with pools and this site is listed as having a pool and no indication of a problem. It’s kind of annoying to advertise you have a pool when you really don’t.

Our room was on the B level (basement) which I wasn’t very happy about. Chirp—chirp—-chirp, there was a cricket in our room and fortunately I was able to locate the intruder and take care of the problem myself, otherwise we would have had to move. Went to use the exercise room , but my key would not work. Went upstairs to talk to the manager at the administrative offices and was told the lock is broken and there were no maintenance people working.

It was awful. The pool has been under construction and no where online does it say that. I had an unhappy child. Bathroom was filthy. Employees were rude.

The room was clean. The only issue I had was that I was not able to take a shower because there was some dark brown substance all over the shower on the floor. I only discovered it right before check out.

Room was very clean and staff was very nice and helpful

When arriving to the room, shower was dirty and found a hair on a “clean” towel. The next morning, my husband had a BED BUG on his leg. We left as soon as that was found. So disgusted ,

Carpets in rooms were not clean. Garbage under couch and on side of bed. The pull out couch had old used sheets on it.

Super clean brand new looking space! Would definitely stay again.

Was surprised that the water in the shower was slow to drain. Had to stand in 2” of water while showering. One would think when cleaning the bathtub it would be fixed?

The room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included and parking was also. Plenty of areas nearby to shop and to eat. It was very convenient.

No listing of construction. Bathroom was full of ants. AC was not adequate, room was warm and AC fan would not stay on. Had to make multiple noise complaints during the night for room across the hall.

Clean and well kept

The entire building is smoke-free, and the rooms felt super cozy. Bed was firm but comfortable, with squishy pillows. The suite had a thermostat, couch, Jacuzzi, separate shower, and a very spacious layout that made the room feel more like a mini studio apartment. Three layers of blankets and sheets, a firm but comfortable mattress, and squishy pillows made the bed really nice to settle into and be lazy with. But every place has minor flaws, so here's why it's a 4/5: The driveway is incredibly narrow and easy to miss. On the Pike, that means two rather long U-turns to try again. The coffee maker in the room was also malfunctioning, but they offer complimentary coffee in the lobby, so that worked out somewhat. The thermostat warms up the room to temp pretty quickly, but sometimes takes a while to turn on when you set it. And then there's the 50"-looking flatscreen television, which is mounted to the wall at an angle where you can't watch from the couch or the bed... Computer couldn't cast or Bluetooth connect to it, after several attempts. And finally: The pool was closed for renovations/maintenance, so that was a minor sadness on my part. Aside from everything there, it was still a fun stay, and my friend said it was one of the nicest hotels he's been in. I'll book again whenever anybody needs a room in that area.

AC didn't work despite two calls to front desk. Uncomfortable night with room temperature at 79-80 all night.

Worth the money. Nice safe place to stay. My room was quiet/opposite the highway and saw the morning sun. Very good free breakfast and an indoor pool. My only complaint is the Wi-Fi needed boosted. I was on the third floor and it was weak.

Noisy road and room was next to Elevator

Friendly staff, great accommodations! Breakfast was delicious! The room doors don’t have a soft close, so I heard slamming doors constantly throughout my stay - made it very difficult to relax.

This was a terrible experience and I was told I would receive a refund and never did. The pool, reason we booked this hotel over another, was closed due to chemicals. Our room had a broken AC unit. We asked to have it fixed or another room around 2pm when we left. We came back at 10pm to find the AC was still broken even when they said it was fixed. The room was 80 degrees. There were 3 of us and they could only get us another room with 1 bed. We had to wait until 11pm to get extra bedding so one of us could sleep on the floor. Again a refund was promised especially since they couldn't get us the room reserved and after several attempts to contact them, no refund was issued.

Overall my stay was very enjoyable and pleasant. One thing that needs dire improvement are the bed pillows😞😞. They are way too soft and not comfortable at all. Everything else was great😊

The room was wonderful. Very modern and very spacious! The only complaints I have is that the bed is too hard, woke up with lots of back pain. The only other issue is the door has a large gap on the bottom, I shoved a towel in it and there was still “access.” Just made me feel a little uncomfortable.

Clean room, room at end of hall with no, weak internet connection. Breakfast buffet was ok.

I checked in on a Friday - in which the first room we tried to enter was blocked by debris where glass was sticking out of the wall and the door could not open. The staff indicated there might not be rooms available but found one last room. Upon entering, it became apparent the AC was broken, staff indicated to power up and on and someone could help the next day. Slept with my 8 year old in 77 degree heat. Next day the staff indicated they would fix it, upon returning to the hotel at 4pm it was still not fixed. I requested again they fix the AC before we get back from dinner and luckily this time it was fixed. The icing on the cake was waking up Sunday morning and discovering there were ants in the room in a corner . Overall a very unpleasant stay and over priced for the accommodations.

Front desk person was outside smoking on multiple occasions. The lobby and dining area were both uncomfortably hot. Our room a/c did not work and they moved us into another room. My mom slept on the pull out couch which was all metal and it hurt her leg. The pool was unavailable to use. The hotel did remove one night stay for our troubles We stayed 3 nights because there weren't any other options close in Turnersville.

Check in was easy, staff was very polite, breakfast was good.

Went to check in aroind 8pm but no one was at the front desk. 2 other families, one being an elderly couple were also waiting and waited 40 mins. No one came. No one answered phone. I was unable to check in and was very mucj inconvenienced with a sick baby and child waiting to lay down. I will never use hampton inn again

Clean rooms, easy parking and helpful staff!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. After a nightmare of a time flying, with 2 cancelled flights, two delays from Florida and Georgia for a funeral, you kept the door open for two very tired and weary travelers! Between housekeeping, breakfast staff and front desk all were amazing! Thank you!

The manager was very rude. They changed our room from a suite to a standard room without letting us know. When we asked about it we got conflicting responses. The pool was closed and ice machines broken.

I appreciated the kindness and smiles of the staff. I really enjoyed that I was able to check in early after a 15 hour drive, rest is essential!!

The staff at this property provided great service during our entire stay. The staff & other guests were friendly and family-oriented. Even during the renovation the entire property & rooms were spacious & clean. Definitely would stay again and recommend!

The girl checking us in gave us no information. What our room number was, breakfast time, check out time Or WiFi information. All she did was tell us where the elevator was. I had to ask our room number

Great location near every restaurant & store you can imagine. Parking was easy, self park and free. Lobby and lounge areas very modern and clean. Check-in was easy and rep was friendly. Our room was fantastic! Very clean and modern with gray laminate flooring and an area rug under the bed. Beautiful, clean big bathroom with large walk-in shower. Nice TV, plenty of space to put our belongings. Massive full length mirror and coat hooks to hang our jackets. The headboard was soft but covered with hygienic material. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was great! Eggs, large sausage links, all different types of breads and spreads, coffees, other drinks, etc. we would absolutely stay here again.

We stay here frequently because it’s near our daughter. It’s always clean and breakfast is usually great. Breakfast manager is really on top of things. I appreciate the 24-hour coffe/tea/cocoa station in the hall, too.

We stayed here with our soccer team. The property was ok. They ran out of a lot of stuff. I asked for extra towels and never got them. Breakfast was not good. They ran out of all the food on Saturday. Sunday we had an early game so we went to grab food at 6:30 am. Everything was gone. Not sure if they just don’t have the staff…very disappointed

Convenient location for our needs. Breakfast was very good. (Eggs, bacon/sausage, potato, waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, muffin, toast). Our one complaint is that we picked it for the pool and it is currently closed for renovation but it doesn’t say that on any website that I saw or anywhere in the hotel. We only found out when we asked where the pool was. Our room was clean and roomy enough for us. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in town.
