When we checked in,we had to yell to see if anyone was there. She did come quickly though. The key card on one room did not function. Once more the individual was not at the desk even though someone was standing there. I had to get the staffs attention again. One of the two rooms we rented did not have a functioning TV. The couple we were traveling with called. They were told maintenence would be up to fix but never showed up and a discount was promised if not fixed, but neither the maintenence staff came or the discount was given because of a third party booking. No change of rooms was offered. It had a basic continental breakfast included. At this point I would recommend one of the other two nearby hotels a Marriott or the Hilton.

The gentleman at check-in was the only bright side to our stay. He was so friendly, funny and kind. His service is the only reason I didn't leave just 1 star. The bathroom was nasty, needed upkeep and had mold. The AC didn't work well and made the bedding feel wet. The fridge barely worked and had a broken knob. The hot tub was not hot AT ALL, barely had enough water to cover the jets, and half the jets weren't even working. The "temperature-controlled" pool was also barely warm enough to swim in. Breakfast was so sad. There weren't even enough biscuits for our family of 4, and they were never refilled the 45 minutes we were down at breakfast. There was no fruit at all, the orange juice and apple juice were both out, and there was only 1 kind of pastry. Very few options. On top of all this, we had requested with the hotel to move our reservation from Tuesday night to Monday night and they denied that request. I guarantee the hotel was not booked up as empty as the parking lot was the night of our stay, so that was also very disappointing. We are done with La Quinta after our 2 bad stays this week. The location of this hotel was fine, but I promise you it's not worth it!
