Good location. Comfortable. Limited parking but there are free public car parks nearby. They don’t serve food but there are lots of pubs and restaurants in town.

Nice Accommodation but entry via a metal outdoor staircase which resembles a fire escape. We only book places that have parking as we both have a problem with walking distances. After booking we received an E-Mail informing us that there are only 4 parking spaces on a first come only basis .On arrival we found 1 free space so that was OK. However we were in room 12 so presumed there would be more than 4 cars staying. We had to go out in the car and when we arrived back there were no parking spaces and we had to park it in a Public Car Park a fairly long walk away. If the information about parking was on the description we would not have booked it.

Solid location for exploring the area, with very friendly service. The room is above a locals bar in an older Inn setting. The bar closed early, so it wasn't very noisy in any way. Bus stop right outside the door made it very convenient. The bar served great pizza, and there was a nice coffee and lunch place across the street. The room itself is dated -- floor was uneven, and shower was tiny. But we knew this going into our stay, so it wasn't any problem as the location and value met our needs for a short, two night stay.

In the heart of Chipping Norton, convenient to restaurants, shopping and close to many attractions. English charm, super helpful staff. Parking is tight for only 4 cars but there is a free car park about 5 minute walk from the hotel.

I recently stayed at The Kings arms Hotel for two nights as I initially went to visit Jeremy Clarkson's farm but also took the time to explore chat Chipping Norton has to offer. My stay there was superb and couldn't really fault it. It stated that it wasn't doing food so off the cuff plans were made for that, but the stay at the hotel itself was lovely. I booked the triple room with the bath which was so nice after the drive there. The Room is a great size with plenty of tea and coffee to keep you going and the comfort of the room was second to none. It was clean and tidy which is all you can really ask for when you are looking for a place to get your head down basically. The staff were pleasant and very welcoming each time they seen you and the landlady took extra time it was felt having a chat with you which was great. There is plenty of space in the car area and it has a pool table and dartboards towards the rear of the pub. Again that itself was clean tidy and inviting with a warm environment and pleasant/ welcoming atmosphere. Drinks are fairly priced and the land lady knows how to measure her spirits and mixer perfectly. I'd highly recommend staying here and would do so again time and time again.

We were lucky we called as we hadn't anticipated that we had to arrive by a certain time. We were simply handed a key to our room - no paperwork or information about how to depart the following day. It was a very noisy room in the morning and with the traffic. Other than this - OK. No car parking to speak of as only 3 spaces at the back. When we left - nobody was around - the bar was locked so we just left our key in the room door and departed. Seemed strange not to see anyone.

Excellent venue, friendly attentive staff very knowlagable of the local area and very helpful. Great selection of drinks on offer, nice beer garden, big well designed clean room, nice selection of refreshments and toiletries included with the room, excellent town centre location and great value for money, Definatley reccomend to anyone visiting chipping norton

Lovely stay from start to finish. All the staff were extremely friendly and attentive nothing was too much trouble. Everything we needed and spotless. Comfortable clean bed and room and plenty of tea and coffee. Excellent pizzas for tea and excellent live music, lovely quiet nights sleep.

We had a nice stay in The Kings Arms. Unfortunately the beds were very 'springy'/quite soft and whilst it was fortunate that we had two single beds, we both slept very poorly. We had to turn the mattress on one of the beds as a spring had come loose and was poking through making sleeping uncomfortable. Parking was adequate - we had a parking space one night not the second, but long stay was only 5 minutes walk away, so not too much of a problem. No breakfast in the pub, but a good cafe 100 metres away.

Stayed for 1 night and was quite glad it was only for 1 night. When we arrived we found that the room had not been cleaned properly as we found a red pill on the dirty carpet and an empty can of lager in the bedside table. As we settled in we found dust covering most of the surfaces along with cobwebs and spiders on the lower rafters that could easily have been cleaned up. We also found mold in the shower and water had been left in the kettle since the room was last used. The car park is small and they do let you know that parking is limited but when we came to leave we were blocked in and when we found the cleaner we found out it was her blocking us in and was nice enough and moved her car. The fire exit doors were also left wide open all night so guests can get back into their rooms when the pub is shut, but also allows anyone or anything else to come in as well. We wanted somewhere close to Diddly Squat farm and it does tick that box, but that was about it.

I had high hopes from other reviews left but this place really needs to get a new cleaner. It was also looking a bit dated which didn’t help when also not clean. The staff did what they could when also trying to run the bar but certainly wouldn’t stay again.

Start with the positives. Good location, in the centre. We chose this as we were visiting Clarkson farm. Only 5 min drive. Some nice bars and shops local. Entered the Kings arms, friendly staff but looked nothing like the pictures on hotel.com. I’d describe it as a proper man’s man. Not a bad thing. Went to our room, spacious room then dropped our bags and left, the room was in a poor state, Divan bed was all dirty don’t even want to know what the stains around the base were, shower cubicle was grubby, overall not a good stay, we struggled to find anywhere else so late in the day so we stayed the night which was very loud and left as soon as we woke up. Not a good stay at all.

Very limited parking but roads around with free unlimited parking. Shower room was tatty. Cobwebs around the pipes. Obviously not thoroughly cleaned for a long time. Window had restricted opening, understandably but an option to open further than 2 inches with a key perhaps would be good. Good location near to the high street.

I loved the room, it was so cozy, really nice old fashioned inn style roof but with a soft, cushy bed. Very spacious and lots of amenities within the room, tv, kettle, everything you need.

Lovely stay at this property. The owners take great care to provide a comfortable stay and we appreciated the thoughtful suggestions for things to do and see in the area. The mattresses are getting tired and could use replacing but the overall stay was excellent.

Quick check in, comfortable bed with fresh clean sheets and big fluffy towels. High quality toiletries and plenty of hot water with good water pressure. I slept soundly and will definitely stay here again. Very good value for money given such a central location in Chipping Norton.

Inn staff were absolutely fantastic!!!! Our check in lady was so friendly and amazing! Wonderful stay.

The manager, Barry, was an absolute delight and so accommodating. He clearly loves what he does and is a master of hospitality. The atmosphere of the tavern was delightful.

Excellent venue, friendly attentive staff very knowlagable of the local area and very helpful. Great selection of drinks on offer, nice beer garden, big well designed clean room, nice selection of refreshments and toiletries included with the room, excellent town centre location and great value for money, Definatley reccomend to anyone visiting chipping norton

Lovely stay from start to finish. All the staff were extremely friendly and attentive nothing was too much trouble. Everything we needed and spotless. Comfortable clean bed and room and plenty of tea and coffee. Excellent pizzas for tea and excellent live music, lovely quiet nights sleep.

Had to stand at the bar for 10 mins whilst staff chit chatted before I could check in. Beds could do with replacing, but other amenities were nice. Note that it is above a pub so will be loud in the evenings, that didn't bother us though.

Start with the positives. Good location, in the centre. We chose this as we were visiting Clarkson farm. Only 5 min drive. Some nice bars and shops local. Entered the Kings arms, friendly staff but looked nothing like the pictures on hotel.com. I’d describe it as a proper man’s man. Not a bad thing. Went to our room, spacious room then dropped our bags and left, the room was in a poor state, Divan bed was all dirty don’t even want to know what the stains around the base were, shower cubicle was grubby, overall not a good stay, we struggled to find anywhere else so late in the day so we stayed the night which was very loud and left as soon as we woke up. Not a good stay at all.

Bus stop right outside the door made it very convenient. The bar served great pizza, and there was a nice coffee and lunch place across the street. The room itself is dated -- floor was uneven, and shower was tiny. But we knew this going into our stay, so it wasn't any problem as the location and value met our needs for a short, two night stay.

In the heart of Chipping Norton, convenient to restaurants, shopping and close to many attractions. English charm, super helpful staff. Parking is tight for only 4 cars but there is a free car park about 5 minute walk from the hotel.

Quick check in, comfortable bed with fresh clean sheets and big fluffy towels. High quality toiletries and plenty of hot water with good water pressure. I slept soundly and will definitely stay here again. Very good value for money given such a central location in Chipping Norton.

We were impressed with the room cleanliness and comfort, and enjoyed a drink or two in the courtyard. It’s a shame there’s no food offer but with all the options in town no one will be going hungry!

A great one night stay in the area, the family room was adequate for 3 adults, but the stairs were a little steep for my elderly mother, I wish I had known that. A quirky old hotel, the kitchen was closed during our stay but we found suitable walkable from the hotel. A very small car park available at back but on street parking can be available for overnight but not the daytime. Suitable for a 1 night stay.

BE VERY CAREFUL! This hotel doesnt offer ANY food - no dinner, no breakfast, nothing, zilch. Also I didnt find this out till after I'd booked and they dont allow ANY cancellations (even well in advance).

Convenient location, excellent value for money. Room had coffee/tea marking facilities and ample towels, shampoo etc. Downside no shower in the room & its a pity the bar didn't do food, also could really do with parking onsite. There were a few cobwebs around the ceiling joists, the whole place was oldy worldly. Staff were super nice.. Loved it 😍

We had a nice stay in The Kings Arms. Unfortunately the beds were very 'springy'/quite soft and whilst it was fortunate that we had two single beds, we both slept very poorly. We had to turn the mattress on one of the beds as a spring had come loose and was poking through making sleeping uncomfortable. Parking was adequate - we had a parking space one night not the second, but long stay was only 5 minutes walk away, so not too much of a problem. No breakfast in the pub, but a good cafe 100 metres away.

2 night stopover with 2 rooms for a work trip. On the whole, great value for money given the area. Rooms (no.12 for me) very rustic but spacious, warm and clean. Lovely room with great atmosphere with the exposed beams. Great to have more space than a usual hotel room with the TV area and sofas. There were a few maintenance issues such as one TV not working, some lights not working and the sofas were worn and not very comfortable. The room could be greatly improved by addressing these issues and adding other low cost items such as a toilet roll holder and towel rail in the bathroom, and bedside light beside all of the beds. The area was lovely and, once the pub had closed, very quiet at night.

I’m not one to do bad reviews. I expected a very simple place to stay, the price point showed that, however I do think cleanliness is something that’s non-negotiable. You can tell the floor hadn’t been hoovered, as a hair bobble was on the floor. Such a simple thing. The extractor fan didn’t work and and the toilet took a mission to make it flush. It’s not horrific, don’t get me wrong, I’ve stayed in very posh and simple places but the lack of cleanliness needs sorting.
