Most of the time there was no one at front desk. We had to ask for ice every day as they turned the ice machine off during the day and only turned it on when asked. Then we had to wait for the machine to make ice.

Parking was well lit, staff are helpful and friendly, though not often available at the desk. The swimming pool and hot tub are "still" not in service as previous reviews have noted. The breakfast is "skimpy" and could be greatly improved, starting with replacing the defective cereal dispensers that are troublesome to operate and spill the contents. Consider adding orange juice and hard boiled eggs. Consider loosing the bed spreads.

My non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke. Seemed like they weren’t trying. Giving them 2 stars and not one because there was a bed, a bath room, four walls, and cable. Too expensive for what they offered.

The staff was wonderful, very polite and helpful. Great price and they do have a pool and hot tub. The room we were in had a hole in the wall from the door handle and another hole in the bathroom door from being slammed open into the towel rack. The hot tub would have been better if it had working jets.

This place has potential. The carpets were very clean. We were not able to use the pool as it was out of order. We could only enter/exit through the front door, as the latch for the side door, which was only held together with duct tape broke off in the locked position, and was not repaired during our stay. Since there are only two or three employees, total (two of which were friendly) there are issues: Mildew on the shower ceiling, inadequate towels in the room, vacuum cleaner laying in hallway. Deferred maintenance everywhere: potholes in driveway, over grown shrubbery completely blocking room windows. In desperate need of updating. This location doesn’t seem to have had any improvements this century, including beds and seating. We would stay here again once improvements have been made as it is conveniently located, easily accessible, and offer many amenities.

As soon as we entered the room we could smell smoke and mold! There was a fine coating of dust and mold on the bedside furniture, headboard, and behind the furniture. The ironing board even had mold on it! Honestly the most unhealthy place on earth! The bathroom floor wasn't scrubbed, or the bath fixtures. There were urine/feces splatters on the toilet! We couldn't sleep due to the poor quality of the air...it actually made us cough. We spoke to the hotel staff, and they told us to Call Expedia to cancel our res. Expedia did ZERO to help us and told us to contact the hotel!! We were told the hotel manager was in meetings all day and unable to speak with us. We had to leave and stay elsewhere, but still paid for these disgusting rooms. We will NOT be using Expedia in the future.

The place is way overpriced, it was smelly when you walked in our room, the furniture was old and crappy looking, the pillows were flat and gross looking (glad I brought my own!) the ceiling was flaking off above the shower, fingerprints all over the mirror from a small child, the carpets had not been thoroughly cleaned or vacuumed, the ice machine was empty and unplugged, there was no bottled water to buy, (we were told by a bartender in that area not to drink their water) there was hair on the floor in the bathroom, the tub was dirty and the no slip mat in the shower had to be as old as the motel! The ceiling above the bed was disgusting, the lamp shades were old and cracked and the one picture on the wall was old and faded. I could go on and on…….i have pictures to prove it!!!

The photos displayed on the booking website did not match what the actual hotel is like. We had to switch rooms because the first room was so dirty (not cleaned, no sheets on the bed, blood stains on the mattress and hair/debris). There were also no towels in the room, no soap, and the coffee pot was recently used with coffee still inside. The second room was also dirty; I made the bed myself by getting sheets from staff. The entire place smelled musty and of mold. The hotel room was constantly dank and smelled. Most of the lights were not plugged in, and the plug ins were behind large pieces of furniture. The chairs and couch in the room had stains on them. The carpet had tears in some areas (transition from the bathroom to the room). The doors barely shut; you had to muscle them to close. The shower was stained brown. The ceiling was dusty and looked like it had previous water damage. I will never stay here again.

There were lights not working or outlets, holes in the walls and granola between the sheets. Tub was dirty and corners not clean. The TV did not work, and figuring out their tub to get water was difficult. Pillow had blood on the pillowcase. Had to get own pillow and blanket to sleep. The pool & hottub were very nice. Room smelled like stale smoke, the entry door to our room stuck and was really hard to open, the sheets did not fit the double beds, looked like single bed sheets were used. The TV did not work as you could not turn up the sound at all. The fee for a dog seemed high at almost $40.00.

The hotel was a bit rundown, and is very out dated. There was hair on the floor, counters and on the toilet... not sure it was cleaned. There was old coffee bags int the coffee maker, a crumbled up bed cover in the drawer., and a dirty tub mat I was a little disappointed in the overall condition of our room.

This is our second time within the month that we stayed here. The hot tub has been broken for this whole time. The rooms are musty and damp. The bedding the sheets did not fit the bed, and they kept coming up when I was trying to sleep it was overall an unpleasant experience.

Obviously they are trying to update a very outdated and run down building ,needs a lot more work room smelled of smoke,,or poor filters in the air-conditioning ,to put it simply they have work to do ,i.e missing trim in room very worn paint etc. Doubt I'll stay there if I have other options

I went to the Cuyuna area for mountain biking and needed a place to stay. The hotel was a fair price and the person who checked me in was friendly, attentive & was well suited for the job. However, the first room I went to smelled of smoke and the second one smelled of mildew. The bed was comfortable, but if there were other options in the immediate area I would not stay here again.

I arrived at 1:45pm and was told by the front desk that I could not check in until 3pm. There was not a single car in the parking lot so I assumed I was the first person there. I was told that I could pay more to check in early but I didn’t want to pay the extra fee. The agent was polite and told me that he would waive the fee if I waiting until 2pm. So we waited the 15 minutes. I just don’t understand why we would have to wait. What is the difference in a few minutes? We had traveled over 3 hours in a car and we just wanted to rest. Also, you can only use the remote to the TV within 1 foot of the TV set. Kind of frustrating overall.

good location The guy in the reception was very nice It seemed they weren't prepared for us and were unaware of the reservation. There was a problem with the door of the room, and it took them time to find a new room

Door was locked when I showed up and I rang the door bell 3 times and no one came….. it’s a long story but I didn’t feel it was a safe place to stay and I wasn’t sure if there were random homeless people running this place because they were sleeping in rooms and one didn’t know what he was doing! I checked in saw my room and promptly left.

This is an old motel and could use a lot of updating. Some water leakage in the eating area that caused a musty smell. Our room was okay for the price. The two ladies that waited on me were very helpful and nice. Their continental breakfast was limited.

Parking was well lit, staff are helpful and friendly, though not often available at the desk. The swimming pool and hot tub are "still" not in service as previous reviews have noted. The breakfast is "skimpy" and could be greatly improved, starting with replacing the defective cereal dispensers that are troublesome to operate and spill the contents. Consider adding orange juice and hard boiled eggs. Consider loosing the bed spreads.

My room was ok, the shower head didn’t fit into the fixture so I had to hold it while showering. The bed wasn’t super comfortable and there were crumbs on the floor around the bed. The breakfast was not great and the coffee was like coffee flavored water. I was thankful for the Holiday and coffee shop in town. Overall, it was just fine for my solo trip as I spent the majority of my time out enjoying the scenery of the state park.

No ice. Pool and hot tub not working. They were really stretching saying it was a “breakfast buffet.” One door was unavailable so you could only use the one by the desk. My non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke. Seemed like they weren’t trying. Giving them 2 stars and not one because there was a bed, a bath room, four walls, and cable. Too expensive for what they offered.

One family came in and had kids with swim suits ready to use the pool, but the pool was closed. The website shows the breakfast area. In the morning when my husband went down to get breakfast, there was no breakfast. These are the things that should be made clear on the website. Do portray that you have amenities that are not there. This property is in decline.

Basic hotel. Was clean, beds comfortable. Continental breakfast was minimal. Cold cereal, toast or bagels, Hostess style donut holes and thawed frozen waffles with a single home toaster to heat all. If you’re looking for a comfortable clean hotel at a reasonable price this will work for you.

I’m not one to complain but… this hotel isn’t that great. I know. I’ve stayed there before. It was the only option and after 2 bookings through hotels.com that did not have our confirmed reservation when we got there this was our only option. Literally. It was $143. We arrived at 10:35 pm because of the hotels.com booking ordeal so not their problem but still. The room smelled pretty gross but there really wasn’t anything to do. We shut off the air so it stopped pumping out the stinky air. The room was clean enough except for the dirty towel hanging in the closet. The breakfast was pretty awful for choices. The syrup was gone so dry pancakes. No peanut butter. The cereal was pretty stale. The apple juice was the only option and gone and never refilled. I mean I expect not the greatest out of a hotel that I pay under $100 a night but when they charge $150 I expect a little more. The reason we didn’t book this hotel to start with was because it started out posted as $215 per night. The only reason we paid only $143 was because we ended up booking at 9:45 pm. I’m sorry to anyone that actually paid that much. Just because you CAN charge that much doesn’t mean you should. If you want to charge those prices, then make some effort to get things better. It was pretty unacceptable. After this weekend and all the fails from hotels.com I’m a little leery to keep booking with them. Which is sad because we use it a lot.

Very outdated. Internet was not working all weekend. Pillows were OLD. Had to ask for a second roll of tp and towels. Tub didn't drain. Weak shower with old showerhead. No elevator. The hotel was clean and quiet but rather dated. We did not use the pool, but there were people using the pool and it seemed like the area was clean. We never looked at the breakfast area. People should know there is no elevator in case that is important to them. Although it’s only two floors.

Strange instance where the staff walked into the room to see if we checked out, but did not knock first! Check out is at 11, this happened at 9:15. 3-stars for that awkward situation, otherwise all the staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly suggest using the door tag to reduce awkward interactions.
