Dissapointing hotel, advertised as 4 star. Room in very poor condition with broken furniture, broken and loose floor tiles, bathroom door handle fell off, missing lever in the sink plug so would not drain etc. Mould in the shower and thick dust on the skirting and headboard light strip. The hotel had aranged for a potential buyer to vue our room during our booked stay. The buyer and presumably the real estate agent let themselves into our room, without even knocking. I am waiting to hear back from management about this. There are a few parking spaces for guests in the basement. There was disagreement between hotel staff about which were the spaces owned by the hotel. Risk of getting towed by using the wrong space. One space is in front of, and blocks a fire hose. The only food option I saw is a small vending machine at the entrance. Many homeless/intoxicated people in the road outside. Did not feel safe.

The property was secured by both a 24 hour front desk and a key locked internal and external door, so I didn't feel unsafe in the property, but I didn't feel safe being out past 8 or 9 at night without taking a cab back to the property. This should be considered when booking the hotel. It's a very handy location to town and busses. In saying that the room was huge, the beds and bedding comfortable. Good access to electrical ports and lighting. Furniture was a little damaged. The hotel info said that there were instruction manuals for devices which there were not, and that there was daily housekeeping, which there was not. I did not pay full price for the venue, so unsure if this was expected or not. There was not communication around it either way. The TV didn't work but this was not critical for me. I was fine with this experience for the cost, but i would not have been happy with this experience at full price.

Great stay, everything was good. Except when the elevator stopped working and we got stuck inside for 30 mins. On board phone did not work when we tried calling for help. Had to ring from personal phones, and was eventually rescued by local firefighter service. So other than it was great.

My room didn't have a TV. Unbelievable. It was sold as having one. You can't book a carpark because as the hotel says they only have a few parks so its first come, first served. What a crazy system. I did get an assigned car park, but when parking it was taken. Back and forth to reception to get it sorted, Shambles is a word that springs to mind.

The good: The property was mostly clean (touched on later) with decent amenities and plenty available around the location. Being right in the center of the city was really awesome, making it easy to find places to eat or things to do, which helps considering there is no food available onsite. The room had its own washing machine and a dishwasher which were nice touches, but unused by us. 2 sachets of washing machine powder were provided. The parking was nicely sized, with a good amount of room available, but only 7 total parks available on a first-in-first-served basis. These cannot be booked in advance of your stay. The bad: The room we stayed in had multiple broken tiles in the bathroom and kitchen, making it dangerous to have no shoes, or even just socks on, in the room. There was also a lot of missing grout in a lot of the tiles, and some times were lose underfoot. There was no dishwasher powder provided, so we weren't able to make use of the machine. Our parking was cancelled on our cards by the second day, even though we had purchased parking for the entire stay. When the room was serviced we had less towels. No bath mat, no face cloths, no hand cloths were replaced and we had to request these from reception. These were delivered quickly to the room however, so service was great when issues were brought up. Our shower had red fungus growing in the seals, door and silicone. We requested some cleaning products to remedy this, which were provided.

On the website it said that there parking options and there was none available and i had to park in carparks a number of minutes walkaway. The receptionist was short and not friendly. Not a good look for the hotel and city.

The apartment was in poor condition and not cleaned very well. Badly patched holes on the walls, missing extraction grate above the shower with duct tape where it was once stuck. Beds haven’t been vacuumed under in awhile, curtains coming off the tracks. General rundown condition. For the price of the apartment this was very disappointing.

My stay at this hotel was great except for the cleanliness. The sink was covered in brown sticky liquid, the tables were dusty, the toilet had rubbish on the floor and in the shower from the last person.

Filthy Hotel- NEVER AGAIN When I arrived in my room it smelled damp and didn’t feel clean. The TV had no remote control and so I called reception and they told me they would deliver one…. It was delivered the next afternoon when I called and complained again. The pillows in the room were all old and one was torn with the filling exposed. When I woke up on my last morning I noticed black mould all over the curtains. I alerted staff upon check out and their response was “oh”. Don’t be deceived by the pictures of this property…. It is disgusting. Never again!

Our room was very dirty, mould in the bathroom, dust everywhere and stained sheets. Had to sleep on top of the sheets for 2 nights as cleaning team failed to change the sheets upon request on the first day due to the staining. Took them 3 days to finally attend and provide clean sheets and clean the mould in the bathroom, only cleaned the mould around the tap but was all over the ceiling. Dishes were still in the dishwasher from the previous guests, were\'nt sure if they were clean or not. Were only provided one towel, had 3 guests in the room and had to request more towels nearly every day. Had expedia customer service contact the manager to request a refund for the first 2 nights where I had to sleep on top of the sheets due to the staining (looked like blood), was denied the refund. Elevators and halls constantly smelled of body odour. Would not stay here again. Management replying to other negative reviews state they "have noted the concerns", yet still nothing has been done.

It was totally disgusting. It was so dirty, the walls were sticky, the floor was sticky, the shower glass was milky with grime...all round, awful. It was a huge safety concern as there were shower caps covering all the fire alarms. I was recovering from an operation and under doctors' advice was told I should not stay there. I only stayed for one night of my booking and had to find other accommodation. They would not refund me and because of that I did not actually cancel my booking because I did not want them having the benefit of renting to someone else.

I had two bookings, three nights total, I reported my room was not clean and had a broken dishwasher (no cleaning items) to the front desk three times and in writing during my stay, The response was there is no Manager available until after we checked out. After putting my complaints in writing housekeeping came and made beds and emptied one bin and left towels - they did nothing about the mess in the bathroom reported day 1, left no toilet paper it was empty, left rubbish in the other bins, the leaky kettle, boogers still on the wall and tomato on table (both there before our arrival) and left all the dishes next to the broken dishwasher and nothing for us to clean or dry them with. After reporting it all again in writing they came and washed the dishes and dried them with our face cloths, banging and crashing in the kitchen making us uncomfortable for reporting it. Terrible service and no apologies or refund offered, not even a message from the Manager when they came in the next day.

The room is large and spacious. It is quite basic but has the necessary facilities. Staff are wonderful and accomodating. 24 hr reception is good and they dry your clothes for free. I don’t recommend the hair dryer so take your own. Beds are comfortable. The area is fantastic and so close to the sky tower. The stay was incredible value for money. Parking was cheap and available.

The property was secured by both a 24 hour front desk and a key locked internal and external door, so I didn't feel unsafe in the property, but I didn't feel safe being out past 8 or 9 at night without taking a cab back to the property. This should be considered when booking the hotel. It's a very handy location to town and busses. In saying that the room was huge, the beds and bedding comfortable. Overall I was quite disappointed. The pictures make the hotel look nicer than it actually is, and I think the photos are very old. Maintenance is an issue and the hotel is outdated and in need of a renovation. Two of the ceiling lights weren't working, the mattress was very uncomfortable (I could feel the springs), the bathroom didn't have any hand soap but strangely had two big bottles of shampoo and body wash, and there was a pile of used towels left on the armchair (I think the cleaners forgot to take them away). I would not stay here again.

Bathroom was mouldy and old. Curtains had mould on them, blankets had marks on them. Multiple shelves / hooks broken. Wifi worked intermittently. Breakfast was individual slices of bread (separated from the loaf) and same with the cereal. Asked for extra blankets multiple times and eventually took physically standing at reception to get them. I wouldn’t stay again, was old, mouldy and dated.

We arrived about 7 in the morning and asked if we could leave bags there. Can't check in til 3pm. The receptionist was amazing he checked to see if room was ready and allowed us to take our bags to the room, freshen up after 27 hrs flight and even gave us recommendations for breakfast. We will definitely stay here again when visiting our family. Well done everyone for your excellent service.

Had an incident where our room key had been given to another couple staying, had then walk into our room, the one indian guy working there was so unprofessional and found it funny to what we had to experience, our room didn't have a phone, tv wasn't working when we arrived in, not sure if they had done a maintenance/room condition check before guest staying, we had limited utensils too, overall the manager is extremely nice but it wasn't a pleasant stay.

Staff, service and failing working appliances will be the reason this place goes in loss and shut its doors one day. I have actually found the contact details of the CEO of VR groups and will be writing to him directly. Such a great location but dusty rooms, bathroom exhaust not working for the whole 2 night we were there in 2 bdrm apartment. Our room wasnt serviced inspite telling the housekeeper and the receptionist. Dishwasher wasnt working and staff told me I could handwash dishes. Just a worst service and lack of staff communication, I have seen in my 20 years of working in hospitality and staying in hotels. One of the worst.

Great experience! The staff was very helpful and attentive. Brought us everything we needed in a timely fashion and made sure we were taken care of. The shower was wonderful! We paid a fair price and would stay there again -

The staff was unresponsive when we asked to have fresh towels and refill tea, coffee etc. it took then 3 hrs to deliver and we had to visit reception 2 times as phone in the room was not working. We got confirmation on late check out but we still got knocked on the door asking when are we leaving. Poor communication amongst staff and the attitude of certain staff made us feel neglected

Got sent to unclean room when checked-in, room hasn't been done, trash everywhere and / the bed / bathroom undone. Have to waited another 25-30 mins so causing a delay and effected plan for the night. Poor communication, no apology, instead of sending the new key card upstairs, I have to go all the way back to the reception on ground floor with a big bag. This kind of mistake can happen but the way they dealing with it is unimpressed and can done in a lot better way, no compensation whatsoever, wouldn't stay there again.

The room is large and spacious. It is quite basic but has the necessary facilities. Staff are wonderful and accomodating. 24 hr reception is good and they dry your clothes for free. I don’t recommend the hair dryer so take your own. Beds are comfortable. The area is fantastic and so close to the sky tower. The stay was incredible value for money. Parking was cheap and available.

Dissapointing hotel, advertised as 4 star. Room in very poor condition with broken furniture, broken and loose floor tiles, bathroom door handle fell off, missing lever in the sink plug so would not drain etc. Mould in the shower and thick dust on the skirting and headboard light strip. The hotel had aranged for a potential buyer to vue our room during our booked stay. The buyer and presumably the real estate agent let themselves into our room, without even knocking. I am waiting to hear back from management about this. There are a few parking spaces for guests in the basement. There was disagreement between hotel staff about which were the spaces owned by the hotel. Risk of getting towed by using the wrong space. One space is in front of, and blocks a fire hose. The only food option I saw is a small vending machine at the entrance. Many homeless/intoxicated people in the road outside. Did not feel safe.

You certainly pay for what you get, not a bad location though. The bed was so hard it reminded me of my bed back in 1987. The washer/dryer took over 3hours to wash & dry our clothes. Continental breakfast was great!

Had to wait 15 minutes at reception before anyone attended. No instruction for the lifts or entry to rooms. No contentional breakfast supplied as per advertised. Faulty connections to TV and no signal or reception. Overall would never recommend this hotel.

The location was good but needs to be cleaned better. Shower not cleaned well as well as kitchen. Crumbs in drawers and microwave smelt bad as not cleaned. It was a bonus to have a simple breakfast basket daily, which the kids liked.

Central location, walking distance to shops and ferries. Expensive car parking but used free overnight on road then early bird Wilson’s car park. Room had washing machine and comfy beds. Bathroom very poor lighting, shower glass not clean and all very drab and dark in grey. Not like the photos. Did have small dishwasher in kitchen. Free breakfast was poor.

The good: The property was mostly clean (touched on later) with decent amenities and plenty available around the location. Being right in the center of the city was really awesome, making it easy to find places to eat or things to do, which helps considering there is no food available onsite. The room had its own washing machine and a dishwasher which were nice touches, but unused by us. 2 sachets of washing machine powder were provided. The parking was nicely sized, with a good amount of room available, but only 7 total parks available on a first-in-first-served basis. These cannot be booked in advance of your stay. The bad: The room we stayed in had multiple broken tiles in the bathroom and kitchen, making it dangerous to have no shoes, or even just socks on, in the room. There was also a lot of missing grout in a lot of the tiles, and some times were lose underfoot. There was no dishwasher powder provided, so we weren't able to make use of the machine. Our parking was cancelled on our cards by the second day, even though we had purchased parking for the entire stay. When the room was serviced we had less towels. No bath mat, no face cloths, no hand cloths were replaced and we had to request these from reception. These were delivered quickly to the room however, so service was great when issues were brought up. Our shower had red fungus growing in the seals, door and silicone. We requested some cleaning products to remedy this, which were provided.

Requested a balcony room, didn't receive one. Room was smelly and run down, shower was gross, couch was sunken, TV didn't work properly, no phone in the room to call reception. Beds were comfortable however. Wouldn't bother to stay there again

I guess the bigger question is would I stay here again? Yes I would but for one or two nights maximum. The shower area needs some refurbishing and I know the carpeted area by the TV needs a deep clean - that’s not to say it’s bad but an area for the housekeeping staff to focus on - alongside management allowing extra time for that to happen. Previous reviews have mentioned lack of hot water particularly in the morning- that was not the case when I visited.
