Oceanside Inn & Suites, a Days Inn by Wyndham

Personalet var ikke særlig imødenkommenede eller venlig. Vi fik et værelse lige op ad trappen og kunne hører på den hele natten. Meget mindre send end alle andre steder med en Queen size seng, sant senge var meget hård. Fesværrer ikke fen bedste oplevelse.

Tired old place with lots of hack repairs. No towel rack, broken microwave, sink, soap dispenser broken. Water was hot, and the toilet flushed. So that was good. A mattress was out in the parking lot when I arrived. I was told it was soaked by a guest’s leaking ice chest, I asked if they were throwing it out, “nope just drying it in the sun”. They then dragged it back in. Pretty gross, Maybe a health violation. Anyway I wish them well and suggest increasing their maintenance budget, the place does have good “bones” and potential. Staff was helpful, and polite.

The room is dated but clean. The mattress seemed to be brand new so very comfortable. It is convenient to many walkable places to eat and Glass Beach!

I basically got what I paid for. Check-in was as basic and uneventful I arrived @ 9pm as Check-in started at 4pm parking was almost full. Regarding my room if you consider a cheap old microwave and sm refer a kitchen then I guess it had one, personally I wouldn't. Now to the bathroom, overall I would describe it with one word OUTDATED. Low pressure (sink & shower) awe yes the shower, 1st shower head came up to my nipples while attempting a shower prior to checking out water would be hot and then without warning it ran ice cold. I know that I wasn't staying @ The Palace but have to tell you about the bed, I can say it was a bed! Metal frame w/springs. Overall I can't complain I got what I paid for. Two final things to mention room was right over the lobby and this has to be my first hotel/motel that didn't even have a sewing needle & thread! If I were Wyndham I'd be ashamed to put my name on it. I understand this was a old, weathered hotel by the ocean but I guarantee if a little attention to details and higher quality materials. This review would be quite different.

Room was clean, but on the small side. Only one person could walk around the bed at a time. The shower was warm at best, not unpleasant but cooler than we would normally take. Staff were extremely helpful and kind, location was great. And we loved the DIY waffle bar. The succulent rose garden was stunning!
